A friend and I came here on a whim for a Saturday night pre-theater dinner. They were able to accommodate us without a reservation. The cooks and servers were personable, enthusiastic, and very helpful without being overbearing. The atmosphere is unmistakably upscale rustic, but not stodgy. And then the food. The food was exquisite. I'd especially recommend the beet salad, brisket steam buns, beef tenderloin (quite simply the best tenderloin of my life), and the butterscotch pudding. All in all, it was a very memorable meal, and the next time I find myself in Westport, I won't be dining anywhere else. This is an experience you'll remember.
Delicious! Lived up to very high expectations! We had the steam buns and tuna appetizers, both of which were very tasty and appropriately sized. We followed with the Striploin and Duck Fried rice both of which were perfectly cooked. Our waited paired is with an Oregon Pinot that brought out the best in both. My date had the peanut butter sundae (which he loved) and I followed with the blue cheese which was silky and perfect. I saw some of the comments about the restaurant size, but thought it was cozy, and the staff and chef clearly had control of the room. Everyone looked as happy as we were. We will be back.

Small, intimate space, fabulous food and service. Portions are quite small but delicious.
Excellent food and service. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Awesome bar staff!
All around delightful. Highly reccomend the Scallop Nigiri starter and the lamb with polenta entree. The Gin and cucumber libation and bourbon with grapefruit concoction were refreshing and balanced. Cant wait to go back!
Delicious!!! Recommended by a friend and we are not sorry we went. Everything was SO yummy and the service was friendly and attentive! A must if you are a foodie!

Just had a phenomenal brunch! I would live in the Chioggia salad if I could. The Waygu steamed buns were divine. Amazing cocktails too! Service was very friendly and professional. I can't wait to go back!
Atmosphere - awesome
Food - outrageously good; flavors just engulf your tastebuds
Owner/Chef - fantastic. Met Brian on way in and he took an interest in my daughter and I immediately. This was our first visit and he personally delivered our first 2 plates to us and described how they were prepped.
Overall - this place is a true 10 and worth every penny. Can't say enough about it.
Beautiful decor, fantastic food, & great drinks! I had a wonderful birthday brunch & will be coming back!!

Every course we ordered was fantastic-especially the Duck fried rice!!! The staff was incredible and the ambiance was perfect for our anniversary dinner! Will definitely be back soon!
Every meal I’ve had here has been incredible— a true fine dining experience in an unpretentious, cozy space. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is simply amazing. Great for a romantic meal, or for a special occasion.
We had the cod crepe, scallop on crispy rice, lobster spaghetti and the… I forgot which white fish, but everything was so delicious. Service was also excellent.
We had dinner here last week to celebrate my wife’s birthday and were both extremely impressed with the dining experience. Excellent service, delicious, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented food dishes. The bottled wine list is expensive but has a very nice selection. The atmosphere is perfect and our server was delightful. We can highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.
My partner and I dined here back in late February. The atmosphere was cozy and the service alone deserves five stars. Although we were one of the last reservations for the night, we in no way felt rushed by the staff. Everyone was friendly and had wonderful suggestions for what to try on the menu.
My partner and I agree the food was the best by far compared to any restaurant we have been to in Connecticut (and even other states). To start I had the the Wagyu Brisket Steam Buns and continued onto the delicious Lobster Spaghetti where I left not one bit of food on the plate. For dessert? The Pavlova. You will just have to try it to understand why it is so amazing.
The Cottage had everything necessary to create a wonderful dining experience for my partner and I. We left there with full stomachs and a smile on our faces. If you are looking for a meal that will leave a lasting impression, this is the place to go.
Love this place, I’ve here so many times and the food is always delicious and consistent. Highly recommended.
