The Margherita is approximately 80% tomato sauce. Just not good. Did I mention it cost $24?
We tried the thick and the thin pizza . Both were excellent! The crust was really good . The garlic knots were excellent too. Sauce for knots was a little spicy for me but still good, hubby loved it. We will be going there more from now on!
The best slice in the Pittsburgh area, and it’s honestly not even close. Crispy crust, high quality tomato sauce, and great mozzarella cheese (none of this mozzarella/provolone mix stuff). Also, it’s made in an actual pizza oven instead of a conveyer which is surprisingly uncommon for WPA.
We love Mama Lucia's. When we moved to Wexford from New York we couldn't find good pizza until we went here. My kids felt at home. The staff was always super friendly and kind. Everytime we come to Visit PA we always make a stop for some pizza and to say hello!!!!
Tried going in here last night at 6:40pm which seems pretty reasonable for dinner time (their website says they are open til 9pm) but when we arrive they are already sweeping/cleaning up. A rude worker asks if we are getting it to go to which I reply we weren't planning on it, why do we need to? H
Perhaps not the purest most authentic expression of pizza, but this is one of my all-time favorites in Pittsburgh if not the world. Parking back to my youth growing up in Pittsburgh and going to the old Northway Mall. There’s Sealion pizza is perfectly gooey and chewy and there’s sauce is nice and T
