Hinze's Barbque - Wharton - Photo album

Hinze's Bar-B-Que is a pretty small local BBQ joint. The food is decent and it's affordable. It's not the best BBQ I've had (having traveled all over Texas and most of the southern United States) but it's certainly not bad at all. I had the brisket, sausage, green beans, and Mac n' cheese. I think t
Food was great and very flavorful. The price was great and the workers were friendly. The prices were reasonable especially for the amount of food you got. We got a slice of pecan pie… very delicious. Highly recommend.
Got a 3 meat plate for my self Brisket portions were a bit on the meager side I would say it was maybe a 1/16th lb of brisket. Got brisket 2 ribs and some sausage. Sides were Mac and cheese it was good and cheesy Pinto beans then were delicious Corn was fresh and delicious BBQ sauce was bit more
If you're looking for authentic Texas barbecue, Hinze's Bar-B-Que in Wharton is the place to go. Established in 1973, this restaurant has been serving up some of the finest barbecue in the state for almost half a century. As a Texan, I take my barbecue seriously, and I can say without hesitation th
Very popular with the locals at lunchtime, always a good sign. I got the sliced beef sandwich, fries, and a drink…everything ala carte…total about $14. I used to think that was pricey but that’s the world we live in these days. It was delicious and portions were ample. I thought maybe the fries wer
So different from the old location. It's pretty worn-looking from the outside. The inside is ... unpretentious. I gave the rating only for the stuffed baked potato with turkey as I didn't eat anything else. It was served with bbq sauce on the side and it was delicious! I was able to get two meals f
Great BBQ, even better selection of sides! Butter beans, cucumber salad, carrot salad, etc. - all truly awesome! Down home atmosphere. Go there!
Very small town atmosphere. Great food. We ordered 2 pounds of ribs and a coconut pie to go. Strongly recommend the ribs and BBQ sauce.
I stopped on a road trip because my great grandmother was a fan and frequent customer in the 70's and 80's. I was not at all disappointed, the sliced beef sandwich made it worth the drove from Huntsville to Wharton.
This family run restaurant serves the best food. It is just a small building with a drive up and only a few tables to sit, seat yourself after ordering, but it moves food fast! I counted 7 cooks in the small kitchen, moving in determined directions. my wife and I had the huge stuffed baked potato, s
What more can I say about Heinze’s? If you’re within 30 miles of Wharton, you really need to visit. I’m pretty sure everything on the menu is amazing, but save room for pie.
Stopped through on the way to el campo for a camping trip. Best ribs I have had in a very long time. They have been open since 1970. Worth the stop if you are passing through.
