There is no place better to get down-home cooking. The seasoning, the breading, the quality is A++. The menu offers a huge selection of food like Momma makes!! The 25 minute drive from Bay City is well worth the incredible meal and great service at this clean, comfortable restaurant! What a treat!

Dined with the siblings here on Tuesday. Excellent food, service, & atmosphere. Opted for the liver & onions. If done correct, out of this world. If not, . My food is "still orbiting the earth - dang good nibbles"! I highly recommend HINZES COUNTRY KITCHEN.

Love this establishment. Great food. Only issue was chicken spaghetti was served on Fritos. Should be outlawed. Only chili goes with Fritos.
Good burgers. Service was good, made to order so if your in a hurry wait till you have time to enjoy it.

Had a friend mention Hinze's Country Kitchen. Driving through Wharton, decided to stop and try it out. One of the best decisions we've made ever. Variety of entree's, desserts, and drinks. I settled for the fish and shrimp plate. Very reasonable prices for fresh cooked food. As you can see by our pictures it was mmmm, good. Definitely making it one of our favorite stops when traveling. This is "real food" right here. We stop here every time we're driving from Houston to Brownsville and it's absolutely amazing.
The restaurant was very clean. Tables were well stocked with condiments and napkins. Everyone was super friendly! Very quick service. The food was perfect! The cheese fries were amazing! Salad and coleslaw were great! Okra was the best we've had around. The chicken fried chicken was very juicy and tender not dry at all 😊. Top it all off Blue Bell Ice cream shake! Perfect 😍! I would totally recommend coming here and will definitely be coming back!
We lunched here recently on the advice of a local. Spouse and I enjoyed a grilled chicken salad with tomato, cukes, egg, and cheese. Friendly counter service, but there wasn't a chance to leave a tip. Cute country motif.
We live in Bay City and Hinze's is our go to when passing through Wharton. We enjoy the home cooked meals, the very friendly and helpful staff and the fair pricing. Highly recommend.

Great country cooking with a mom & pop atmosphere! The toughest decision is what to order, but that just provides motivation to come back again and again. I've had grilled fish, shrimp, crab cakes, boudin balls, Salisbury steak, and a wonderful selection of side orders. Always good, every single time. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Prices are moderate; not cheap, but won't break your piggy bank either.
One our way home from the coast and found this based on a billboard. Was not disappointed. My family of 5 loved it. Will visit again if in the area.

This place was awesome! Sort of unsuspecting at first glance, but decided to stop in and give it a try. You complete your order at the register, from a board of many selections. Excellent food at a very reasonable price! Just really great, American fare at a price that makes you wa t to come back on a regular basis. I highly recommend this restaraunt. And the tres leches cheesecake! Wow... soooo good!
I have been meaning to post my review a long time ago. I was working with FEMA during the Hurricane Harvey relief in 2017, this place was my go to, matter of fact it was the go to place for the whole crew for lunch. We ate there so much that they actually knew what we were going to order before we got to the counter! The food was oustanding, and the customer service was just as good. I plan on making a trip to say hello and to eat!

We were in the area and stop by here after checking their website. Me and my wife were craving for country food, but it was not as planned. The menu looked different, which we went for hamburgers, WHICH were DELICIOUS!!
1 less star because bottle condiments were not clean from lid.
The best meal we’ve had in a long while. With 3 kids, we seldom eat somewhere that everyone is happy, but even my 6 year old told one of the employees that everything they had was good. Really good country style cooking- you won’t be disappointed!
