The food and service are very good. Weather permitting, dining on the patio is really nice.
Good food. Great service from Anthony! Desserts are the real deal. Lot of bang for our buck! Would definitely eat there again!
OMG! New Chefs and new menu are awesome. I highly recommend the charcuterie platter and the braised short ribs. Kitchen staff top shelf bar tenders awesome.
Can't wait to come back!

Went for the Father's Day breakfast that benefitted Randolph Animal shelter. Puppies and Pancakes....what could be better?

Employees friendly and accommodating, great food and atmosphere. Felt like home. Patrons and staff honest. Dropped my license and debit card and it was turned in. I will return here and recommend The Canal House to anyone I know. Thank you to all. :)

Had a bridal shower here a few months ago. There was about 20-25 people in our party. The staff was very accommodating, and gave us lots of space and tables to set up games/pictures, etc. The food was provided family style and it was absolutely delicious!! We opted for sangria and that was also so great and yummy. Highly recommend!
Nice local place with a good-sized bar and plenty of televisions to keep track of sports. Food is good but not great. There is a more traditional dining area to your right when you enter and the bar dining is to your left. Live music on weekends.
Hadn't been to Canal House in a while because of Covid. Glad they're still there and have new items on menu!

I had the parpadelle pasta with mushrooms and spicy red sauce. My son had the "chicken your way" with peppers,olives and a nice brown sauce. Came with perfectly cooked potatoes.
For dessert, because I wasn't driving, I had the Winter
Martini which was delicious! My son had cheese cake . Good coffee too.
Nice music being performed. Not overly loud.
Lighting in dining room could be a bit lower for ambiance.

Wow phenomenal food! I ordered chickennparm dinner it was too notch. They use REAL thick pieces of chicken not thin frozen fried crusty junk.The texture was moist & flavor was succulent. Portions are big too. My friend & I ordered to go & waited by the bar. Bartender was friendly & got my order down to all my specifications. I will definitely return. However I do not think I'd eat there because as soon as I walked in place smelled like cigarette smoke
This restaurant is fantastic. The staff here is super friendly and efficient. The food is delicious. You can sit at the bar, or the main dining room, or outside (when its warm enough). Their apple Martini is like not other.
Great people, great food, chicken is my favorite food and they have the best chicken wings I've ever had. The only complaint I have is the DJ/KJ Has no sort of organization when it comes to a rotation. I've been there twice and the 1st time I was there my sisters got skipped for more than a rotation. The last time my party of 6 was there I was the 1st one to sing in the beginning of the night, I didn't sing again until the bar was dead and I had already been skipped 3 times. I only sang again because he called my sister up and she told him I was skipped. After I was skip the 2nd time I went up to make sure he had my song and he said he did. I'm giving 5 stars because this isn't exactly the establishments fault. I'm sure they are unaware. We only go out to karaoke. Let me know if this gets fixed and we will come back.

Alot of regulars at the bar, poker game on Friday and good DJ with karaoke for entertainment. live music on Saturday nights. solid pub food, burgers are really good, French onion soup also good. we have had some other items from the menu that were ok- fish tacos and a vegetable Tuscan pasta, both were just ok
Had Sea Food Plater presentation excellent Clams ,muscles ,shrimp scallops with marinara over penne pasta. Plentiful & delicious .My wife had Lobster ravioli presentation excellent 8 Ravioli more than she could eat. Will be going back soon. Support local businesses!
Both the food and service is always top notch. Always upbeat and friendly inside. Great for families, watching the game, or just needing a drink to unwind. Highly recommend for any occasion. Thumbs up!
St Patrick's Day shepherd's pie was probably the best I've ever had in my life and I am Irish to the Bone.,.. maybe a little bit of Czech..... Still eating leftovers
Great food, portions and prices. Had the Flank Steak Marsala cooked perfectly. Ask for Billy an excellent server! Nice environment and great bartenders.
We went to dance because the Gup, the DJ, is there on Wednesdays now. I had the lobster ravioli and my friend the the biggest, juiciest burger I ever saw. Great place for food and dance.
Went to the Canal house as they sponsored a Toys for tots for St. Peter's orphanage in Denville. Barry & Kevin McCardle organized the event and played an outside show. The food & service were great! Thanks for hosting the event.
We had lunch here on a recent Saturday. We found excellent burgers and generous salads with friendly service. There is lots of outdoor dining in the parking lot.
Friday lunches wouldn't be complete without a visit here for great food and drinks. Lisa is always more than happy to accommodate any special requests while you are the bar.
