This place is not only awesome, but is already the go to place for lunch.!! The staff and owner are always friendly, courteous and professional. Food is out of this world!!

My first time here, but the first of many I predict! The place is clean, the Mediterranean bowl is delicious and the portion is generous. I look forward to trying more of their extended menu...wings, fried chicken, salads (who am I kidding), 3 other bowls. There is a nice selection of sides to choose from.They even have family meals. With the a location that you can easily hop off rt. 80 and hop right back on, this is the perfect place to get a full meal for tonight's dinner.
I will be returning! The chicken was cooked perfectly and nice size pieces. Service was very friendly and the place is very clean. Only complaint would be there was no sports on the tv 🤣

Amazing food. We had them cater our coworkers retirement lunch and they were awesome. They set everything up and they come pick it all up when your done. We all loved it. We will definitely use them again.
Omg so good!!!! Fresh amazing always enjoy my food from them. Best friendly people around. I walk from work across rt15 just to get food from both places.

Delicious fried chicken. Reminds me of the places I grew up around down south.
Ordered the 12 piece family meal…chicken was very crispy with good flavor. The sides were fantastic (mac&cheese, baked beans and plantains). The price seemed a bit high but after seeing the portion size and 5-6 pieces of corn bread, it was worth it.
I gave it 5 stars based on the food and portion size but I did experience some of the same complaints as others…girl at the counter was on her phone the entire time. It took 30 minutes to make the chicken but now I know to order ahead.
This was the first time I had soul food since I got to New Jersey and it was spot on. The food was hot and fresh and not greasy. I ordered a shrimp poboy which was more like a sandwich on buns instead of a hoagie but it was extremely flavorful. My only issues were that the condiments are the tiny little cups of hot sauce and tarter sauce and that the catfish "tasted" like swai or basa.
As a HUGE foodie - I have three simple prerequisites to any place i eat.
Is the food good and fresh?
Is it consistent?
Is the price fair?
Without question- Pop’s Chicken exceeds all my expectations! Happy to have a place like this in my backyard. Finally - someone brought Caribbean/soul to the suburbs!

I ordered through Door Dash and the portions were still a great size. Most restaurants tend to throw stuff together and make smaller sizes but not this place. The menu is HUGE, there is so much to choose from. I ordered, 3 piece fried chicken meal with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes; husband had 4 piece catfish meal with sweet potatoes and stuffing. We also had a side of Macaroni and cheese and collard greens! I was SO shocked that the food was actually authentic and they even gave us hot sauce and tarter sauce on the side. The collard greens and creamed spinach was actually seasoned, and really well at that, plus it wasn't choppy like frozen greens other places serve. The mash potatoes and sweet potatoes were so soft and tasty. The fried chicken was actually big pieces of chicken. My greedy self was skeptical wondering how 3 would be enough but it was. It was nice and crispy and still moist. The catfish was my favorite. The fish tasted very fresh and the fried skin was crispy, and flaky (whichever describes it being light). And being that it's so delicious, I couldn't believe they serve it as 4 pieces! And they were big pieces, at least 8 inches. The stuffing was soft, I thought it would be a crumble but it actually worked well. And omg, the cornbread was like Cake! It was so soft and moist. Idk how they got it buttery but they did! And Idk what brand tarter sauce or hot sauce they use, but it definitely tasted like a 5 star named brand. Communication was excellent. They didn't have hush puppies for me, so they gave me the recommended Mac & Cheese with no extra charge and sent me an email about it, which was fine with me because it was also tasty. It's more cheesy than most places, although I wouldn't mind it cheesier. For all the food I bought, I spent about 45 (not including the door dash fees & tip but it was WORTH IT). $45 for all this authentic, dinner plate sized food?! Yes, I definitely recommend this restaurant and I cannot wait to try their banana pudding, peach cobbler and the Mexican menu they also have. I still can't believe how much food choices are in this restaurant but I will be trying it all!
Top notch wings done well and good quality too. My 1st time there. I had heard good things about Pop's so I had to go. Got 10 wings, 5 sweet & spicy asian, 5 medium buffalo. I'm kinda stingy with my ratings but I'm giving them a solid 8.68 on a scale of 1-10.
Pop's Chicken is one of those places that you really never forget. This fine establishment was a side of the road eatery that held up to its name. I find that the Service was a bit slow. Sure, BUT, The food was unbeatable. It took me home and was reminiscent of a meal cooked by my mom. The macaroni salad was tinted yellow which intrigued me, and the vegetables were fresh with a subtle crunch that screamed homemade. The cornbread was inviting and interestingly had a hint of vanilla that ultimately made the cornbread, corncake?! Amazing! The chicken was so unbelievably fresh, juicy, crispy, and hot as if it had came straight from the frier and it had! At $10 a plate, I'm sure it doesn't get any better than this.
Stopped in for a quick lunch, left totally satisfied. Ordered the 1/4 Dark Rotisserie Chicken combo with mash, and coleslaw. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy, perfectly seasoned (imo). The mash and the coleslaw tasted very fresh and homemade, and the cornbread! Soft and moist and very delicious. If you're ever in the area, stop in. I'll be back for sure.
I had their spicy chicken sandwich, and French fries. The fried chicken was fresh and hot. The French fries were less salty, I liked it. They do have tables on the deck to sit outside.
Wife and I was trying to figure what to eat for dinner. With the many choices I go to one of my favorites chicken. Yes I didn't have to fire up the torch to light my coals and fix a meal I had Pop's do it for me. Excellent choice too here's the problem now do I do rotisserie grilled or fried.
I decide chicken tenders yes 3 crispy moist chicken tenders with a side of garlic green beans and cornbread. For real green beans and cornbread wife ordered crispy chicken sandwich with fries. Her sandwich had two nice crispy peices of chicken with lettuce and tomatoes. Damn I should've gotten that now that's different. My wife usually wants what I order. 10 boneless wings ordered you know you can pick two sauces. Honey bbq and parmesan garlic of course have to think about my Wife's anti heat palette.
I have to return to sample more of the menu not first try but it's been a while.
Yes, you will wait, but it will be worth it. All Fresh, all homemade. This is NOT KFC. I had no idea that this place even existed. Just happened to stumble upon it and I am glad I did. The Fried Chicken was amazing, the sides were Fantastic and the service was excellent. On a Sunday Night there were a group of young kids working and hustling. Taking a lot of pride and detail to their work, I applaud the efforts. All around this is a great spot for fried chicken. Next visit will be for their wings. I don't know who Pop is, but Great Job Pop.
Really good chicken. Got an 8 piece meal, half rotisserie and half fried. Both were delicious. The sides are also very good. Highly recommend that you stop here if you want to eat some finger licking chicken.
