We stumbled upon this place while passing through from NH to NY. Brisket mac and cheese rocked! Our dog loved the hot dog. Fresh bacon cornbread was scrumptious and my fiancé liked the sampler platter. Yummy, conveniently priced lunch.

We were looking for a place to have a quick bite, we were so lucky to find this gem!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! We were there on Thursday, they have a fried chicken special that was delicious, the brisket was tender and amazing! THe highlight was the bacon chocolate chip cookie!! I bought two, especially after I was told that they sell out of them so quick!! Highly recommend!!

The owners are genuinely awesome and the food definitely does not disappoint! Big portions, reasonable price, definitely a diamond in the rough. Would absolutely recommend this place for anyone going through White River Junction, VT. Worth the stop/detour.

Best brisket I've had in a long time. Burnt ends were phonominal. The only thing I wasn't impressed with were the wings. Kinda bland and dry, but hell, it's chicken. Will definitely be a returning customer and highly recommend if in the lebonon, white river area try it out.

Every single time I go into this place, I am greeted very happily by the employees! The food is absolutely wonderful, the atmosphere is laid-back and you really just enjoy every moment that you were there. The selection of beer is fantastic, and I don't think I've ever cried one I haven't liked. Brandon has done an amazing job and the crew that works with him is equally as fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic first visit. I will be back for more without a doubt! Pulled pork was quite tasty (I threw it all on top of the piping hot fries), and the burnt ends were out of this world flavorful. Coleslaw is hit or miss at some places, but not here, they have a winner for sure. And to wash it all down, they had Rookie's root beer on tap. 10/10 any day of the week.

Great food, great prices. Seating yourself was kinda a drawback since they were slammed. But it was with it. If they ask you would you like the small or the big sandwich, be prepared if you say big! Mac n cheese was on point and the tater tots have a mystery seasoning that is amazing! Major drawback is that parking is terrible

Great meal at reasonable prices excellent service. Brisket was very lean and prepared perfectly. Food came out quickly. Sweet potato fries were piping hot and tasted fantastic. Only drawback was cornbread was sold out. Coleslaw was good but my son won't eat it so I had a double serving, a substitution would be nice. I wish collards we're on the menu. I've already recommended this place to 2 people.

Ummmm… go here! We stopped by on our road trip up to Stowe. The service, the people, the food! A+ We had our 1 year old with us and they were so friendly and accommodating. This place will now be on the list for our yearly stop up to Stowe. Attached to the building is an awesome craft beer/cider shop. Also worth a visit! :)

For Northern BBQ, this isn’t bad. I’ve sampled just about everything at this point from many visits, and can’t say that it’s been amazing, but it is good. The pulled pork is what you would expect and it is a good portion. Recommended. The brisket has a little bit of smoke but I’ve had it overly fatty and extremely dried out. Ask maybe how it looks before ordering. The ribs were cooked well but lacked any real smoke flavor and the sauce honestly didn’t make up for it. These could use a little work but they were still decent. Burnt ends are not really burnt ends, but I knew that going in. They had decent flavor and were a little fatty, but overall not bad. The burger was perfect. What was delivered was just perfect and cooked to temp. Cuban sandwich was good. I would order it again at some point. Likely not great for large parties without giving them a heads up. Decent for families and certainly kid friendly. Dog friendly on the outside seating area. Bathrooms are clean. Servers are friendly and attentive. The highlight of this restaurant is the beer list and the live music. This is a great place to grab a nice beer and a bite, while listening to music. Recommended.

Brandon and his team bring their A game every day. I used to work down the street, and have been here several dozen times. One of my kids even worked here! Bias aside, you can't find a better experience, beer selection, and friends/family-friendly place to eat if you tried. And you won't even think about it after going here. It's the gem of White River and the Upper Valley, and is my first go-to whenever someone comes into town and asks, "Where's a good place to eat?"

Amazing bbq! Stopped by on the way back to MA and do not regret it one bit. The ribs were great. The brisket was a little dry as was the burger. The burnt ends were delicious. I would get the wings in sauce instead of dry rub though. Cole slaw was good too.

Me and my boyfriend were visiting Vermont and came across this place. Very good food! We had maple mustard wings, I had the Cuban mac n cheese which had pieces of brisket, bacon, pickles and maple mustard and ranch drizzled on top.. seems like a lot but it is so tasty and is definitely filling. Wish this place was closer to us!

I had the half order of ribs. No complaints. We’re there on a Thursday night. It seems to be a somewhat regular hangout and busy. Small sitting area where some shared a table with other people. Local musicians playing from 5 to 7:30. The staff was very friendly

Outstanding wings and excellent fried pickles. The pork had very little smoke, which made the Cuban sandwich a little disappointing. Portions are big. Service was excellent. Prices are reasonable. Nice little craft beer shop next door too- we brought home some excellent local brews. Looking forward to a return visit!

Loved it! Very good BBQ and great local beer selection. Don't pass up the cuban Mac n cheese! The only problem was the table next to us had to wait forever with little to no explanation, felt bad for them.

Always a stop when traveling through White River Junction. Good food and an amazing tap list - especially the Hill Farmstead offerings. Brisket this past visit was a little off - one of the slices had an almost chemical taste to it - I'm assuming it was just a one off as I've had it before and loved it. Service was great, and the live music added to the atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Good BBQ place! I had called in an order and the waiter didn't seem the brightest. I asked if they had hot BBQ sauce and she said they had buffalo sauce and one other sauce, neither of which were actually BBQ sauce at all. The food tasted very good and because of that they get a 4 star but the servers were not the most friendly or helpful.

Always looking for a good BBQ joint when I'm camping and Big Fatty's didn't dissapoint. The sauce is the reason you come, the meat is pretty ordinary other than the ribs, which were spectacular, but the sauce....oh my goodness it was good. We had the brisket, pulled pork and the pig ribs. The brisket and pork were fairly neutral but the sauce was a sweet vinegar based sauce that was too die for. Fries were a little undercooked but with a really interesting spice on them and the slaw was a solid side. Sodas are by the can, parking is tight and the portions are large. Really very good and enjoyable overall. Service was quick and good.
