Good spot for brunch! Chicken tacos were delicious. Would also recommend the nachos and brussel sprouts. Generous portions for sharing. For drinks, you can get 3 juices for a bottle of champagne for mimosas. Also recommend the hibiscus margarita.

Came to The Chicken Koop while visiting friends in the Whitter area and we were in the uptown area. The inside dining area was pretty crowded, but the outside dining patio was pretty empty. It was a nice California day, so ate outside to enjoy the weather. Service was prompt from the time to walking inside to sitting down outside and placing our orders.
Everything on the menu sounded good, so started off with some Hummus & Veggies for an appetizer. Also, ordered 2 of the featured margaritas. Both appetizer and the drinks came out right away. The cauliflower and brussels sprouts were nicely charred and went well with the hummus and naan bread. Drinks were also good as weren't overly sweet or strong and had a nice flavored rim.
Ordered the roasted chicken plate made Butter Garlic style with garlic fries and sweet plantains as the sides. I also picked the garlic spread and the green sauce as my dipping sauces. Food came out within 15 minutes and was grilled with a nice crisp on the outside, yet still juicy on the inside. Sides were good, especially the sweet plantains. The dipping sauces were a nice complement to the chicken. Both dipping sauces were good, depending upon which flavor you were looking for.
There were a few other menu items that caught my eye that I will try on my next visit to the area.

What a welcome surprise The Chicken Koop turned out to be! One of those places we just decided to try out on a whim. It was an obvious choice because when you have kids, chicken on the menu is your best bet. But this place specializes in all things chicken, and they do deliver the goods. Various tasty takes on chicken you might find in different restaurants all emanate magically from this place.
We had the awesome loaded nachos and poutine (both with shredded chicken of course!), and they were some of the best appetizers I"ve had! Both bad and good for the heart at the same time! The waffles had a caramelized after taste that made me consume more carbs than I should've, and their fried chicken has some secret seasoning giving it a uniquely satisfying flavor. Their dipping sauces were great as well. The garlic sauce and the green sauce tasted just as good as those found in Zankou or El Pollo Inka, and took their roasted chicken another notch higher. Their place was clean, down to the bathrooms, and the staff was very helpful and accomodating. This restaurant is very highly recommended if you crave chicken in all its glorious forms, and available under one roof! Sorry Colonel, but these guys most definitely do chicken right!

Waiters and waitresses are all very friendly and helpful. The chicken sandwich was decent. The spicy chicken sandwich was said to be a 9/10 spice but after tasting it I was disappointed as it was very mild. Overall the vibe of the indoor area is nice; good music and sports shown on the tv.

I have been living in Hacienda Heights for several years and it wasn’t until my best friend took me out for my 30th birthday that we discovered this restaurant. I must say as a Mexican I was a tad skeptical about their menu (since they have some Mexican food) but oh boy! when I had the food I really enjoyed it.
Enjoyed it so much I went back for more (a few days later 😅). The taquitos are garnished in an authentic way, with lettuce, sour cream, cheese etc. Oh and get this, the salsa is ACTUALLY spicy 🥵. I know right? (Gasps in Spanish) 😱.
Now, I’ll be honest, pozole is NOT chicken soup as their menu describes it 🤣. Nevertheless, it tastes really good and with the taquitos alongside makes it the perfect combination. The drinks both aguas frescas and cocktails were both refreshing and tasty.

The service was also exceptional. Both times different team members helped us and they were all really great. With a big smile and very personable. It seemed like they’re content to work there and it reflects on their faces and attitude while working. I really hope this is the case.
I am definitely coming back and I will also definitely recommend it to everyone I know!

The food was good but way too greasy for me. I usually drink a coke or two but this time had to drink a couple more refills to finish the burger.

I had the fried chicken sandwich and fries, the other one is a grilled chicken sandwich (I didn't try that one) both on Hawaiian bread (I think) now I want to go back and try some of the other menu items. 😋

The Chicken Koop was a delicious surprise. The family and I enjoyed the atmosphere, wait time was reasonable, Staff was friendly. Social distancing was taken into consideration. The 1/2 chicken plate and the chicken nachos were yummy and filling. I'd come back and try more of the menu.

Amazing food and large portions. The Hawaiian plate is a must try! Daniel was our server and he went above and beyond. He pretty much explained every dish on the menu and gave some great recommendations!

I ordered the garlic chicken plate and it was delicious and moist. The Chicken was served over white rice and came with a side dish of Brussel sprouts, which were the best Brussel sprouts I have ever tasted. The hanna bread and spicy dipping sauces complimented the food. The staff was friendly and we're constantly coming by to see if we needed anything and to refresh our drinks. I can't wait to go back.

Awesome! Staff was great! Our server Belinda was on point. The sauces are very tastey, my favorite one was the spicy tamarindo. Chicken was moist and perfect. Potatoe salad was delish. The brussel sprouts were terrific. The price point was not bad. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome chicken!!! I love the flavor and it is very tender! The sauces are all amazing. My favorite are the green sauce, garlic sauce, and chipotle mayo. The nachos are to die for! The fried cauliflower is really good and has a great sauce. It's also a great place for take out.

This place was awesome! Staff was friendly and attentive -- even offering an apology for forgetting a substitution before we even had to say anything! The chicken is amazing, great sides, awesome micheladas, and a KILLER jalapeno mac and cheese! Definitely coming back!

The food was great ! The service was slow , a full house.only 2 waiters they had a crispy chicken salad sitting on the counter while we were waiting to be seated turns out the salad was finally brought out to the lady next to us. They forgot my side salad and my tea , mash potatoes were hard and lumpy the staff was. Very friendly it was two crowded for 2 servers and there Was a couple big dinner parties ... Garlic chicken was the bomb ! If you like garlic � first time I ever tried brussel sprouts and they were really good

I was here this past Monday and back again today so that speaks for itself! I really like the green dipping sauce which has just enough kick and heat to it without being overpowering. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and accommodating!

Great food, great beer selection. I recommend the roasted chicken with the sweet Thai chili sauce. Fries are perfect. Looking forward to trying the poutine and nachos next time.
