It was lovely. We as a family were there at my son's WHS baseball banquet. Very beautiful, pleasant and lovely views. The only thing they need to excel on is having the A/C on to circulate. It was super hot in there. But other then that. Had a nice time. Loved it. Waitress, bartender and management were awesome. Delicious food

This review is dated for 10-30-2020. Magnificent private Golf course. This course is 6400 yards from the back tee's and is really fun to play. Lots of elevation changes on each hole. Greens were fantastic on rolled very well. The scenery and layout were absolutely beautiful.

Been taking my sons here for tennis lessons for a few weeks now. Pretty nice club from the looks of it: tennis courts, work out room, big outdoor pool and golf course. The club house is really nice with several areas for large gatherings and a nice large outdoor patio with a view of the golf course. Staff is friendly (ordered some coffee and espresso over the several times I took my sons here for lessons). Joining a country club really isn't a priority for us as we have our own pool and a park nearby with tennis courts, so there's no allure for us in joining. That said, if you want the social life that a club like this offers, it's probably worth looking at.

I have nothing negative at all to say about Friendly Hills Country Club. My experience has been amazing even from reaching out to inquire. TAYLOR is awesome! So sweet, kind, and helpful! I had a vision of how I was going to combine 2 birthdays into one and Taylor was very accommodating answering my million questions.
The price was reasonable and the food was spectacular! Everyone kept saying how good the chicken and veggies were. Not your typical bland chicken wedding food. So delicious!
I removed the dance floor to accommodate the children's playground and it worked perfect! I was able to use the restaurant chairs (since they look nicer than the regular chairs that are provided). They worked around my late guest (fed them even when so many were late). The staff is very nice as well! Every time I stopped by they were really nice (guy who sets up the rooms for events, waitresses, set up manager) they even offered to charge my computer in his office so that it would be fully charged and ready for when I wanted to play a slideshow on the projector.
I would DEFINITELY recommend having an event here. The views are spectacular (even just driving up), the staff is EXTREMELY friendly, the food is amazing. I do not have one bad thing to say💙

THANK YOU, FHCC!!! Last month we had our wedding and chose FHCC to be our venue, and we’re so glad we did! First of all, if you’ve ever been to this country club, you know how gorgeous the venue is. We looked at several venues and FHCC by far was the most stunning given our desired location. We had our reception take place on the second floor with a GREAT view of the golf course and 17 foot high ceilings where we were able to hang drapes and twinkle lights from. From the very beginning the events team had been accommodating, especially given our short wedding timeline of 3 months! Brittany was our point of contact and at every turn she was kind, calm, and professional. You can really tell she loves what she does and has been doing it for a long time. There were no surprises and everything was explained to us clearly, streamlining the process. Even when we made last minute changes, she made every effort to accommodate. And when she couldn't, she tried to find the next best solution for us. (Country Clubs have reputations for being overly strict with rules/policies, so we were surprised when Brittany came up with alternative solutions that worked out well!) Everyone loved the food, and the service team was on point. The only thing that was a bit unfortunate was that we were unable to extend the time of our reception. There was a car show that created a LOT of traffic near the venue on our wedding day, causing us and all of the guests to be late by over an hour. We had to rush through our program and cut out certain parts we had planned just so we could finish on time. However, this wasn’t a deal breaker on how much we enjoyed our day, but something we wished could’ve been worked out... but we understand!!
Either way, we would recommend this venue to anyone thinking of hosting their reception with a team of professionals (thank you, Brittany) and a beautiful location around Whittier, CA.

Good food, great place for meetings. Women's restroom has rusted trash cans inside the stalls which rusted all over the floors. Not what I would expect at a Country Club. The Server named Pam who looks to be in her 40's who serves when we have meetings at Friendly Hills Country Club is the best. She is very accommodating and pleasant. Our meeting was moved this time and we didn't get to have Pam. I missed having her because she is what I expect in country club staff. Pam in 5 star.

Played in the Ladies Christmas Tournament on Tuesday, Nov 28. It was so much fun. The golf course is in great shape and the club house was beautifully decorated. Service and food — outstanding. All staff were very friendly and accommodating and very professional! The Pro and Assistant were awesome in their Hawaiian attire and entertainment! Such a great experience. Thank you.

11-25-17 played here and what an amazing experience. Everything about the course was in top shape. The greens rolled fast and the fairways were perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant area is a perfect seat to watch the 1st and 18 holes. Just an awesome experience.

Wicked greens, if you leave the ball on top then its pretty much game over. Not a long course but enough tight fairways to keep it interesting. Starting out with a uphill par 5 makes it tough to make a good first hole impression.

Beautiful scenery in the heart of Whittier. Hidden in the hills, it is a true gem. The rooms are accommodating and the staff was courteous. I highly recommend for any occasion.

I just got married here 10/20/17, and we only planned it within 1 month. Jessica and the friendly hills staff were all professional, and assisted us with whatever we needed. My wedding day was unbelievably beautiful, I felt like it looked like a fairytale. Many of our guests loved the food. Thank you Jessica for all your help on my big day!! We have 0 complaints. It was truly amazing!

Very nice golf course kind of narrow compared to Torrey Pines, but the quality of the fairways and the greens are very similar. We were the only golfers there on thursday after lunch; I never had an entire golf course to myself before. What a difference it makes. The most enjoyable round of golf I've ever played . thank you FHCC

They really need to mark the holes better. Map is hard to follow to find next hole and can send you all over the place.
I left something in my cart and the staff was unwilling to help me find it through the sea of carts that were moved. I finally found my item. But no help at all!

We have been lucky enough to have our annual fundraising golf tournament at this location, and they are wonderful to work with. They have always supported us and accommodated our every need. This year we had a couple of last minute requests and they made it all work! Not to mention this place is gorgeous golf course that our members really enjoy playing.
