I love this place! Don't go expecting Samurai & you won't be disappointed. I personally like it better than Samurai. Their seafood & meat are more flavorful and the sauce is good( not anything like Samurai). The atmosphere is nice but very different and takes some getting used too ( feels like a club). Best Rainbow roll in Wichita Falls area.
Went here for lunch with my husband and we enjoyed our food and experience at Wasabi. Ordered the 3 roll sushi special and calamari. Sushi was delicious, but the calamari was a little overlooked. However, the wait staff was very friendly and service was great too.Overall, we had a great experience and would go back for lunch again!!
Wasabi Rocks. After walking in the first time I knew I was in love with this place, the decor is really cool and they always seem to be playing 90s music! The sushi is amazing and they even have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options! They make sake bombs an event to remember and the price is awesome! and if you ever have the pleasure of getting Zoey as your waitress you'll love Wasabi as much as I do! Her upbeat attitude and constant smile would make anyone's day.
Great new Hibachi place!. We decided to try out the new (just opened a couple weeks ago) Wasabi Japanese Steak House and was very impressed. The decor is great - very neat "mood" lighting that gives it a cool modern look - lots of colored backlighting and inset lights throughout. The restaurant has a very open and spacious feel with a walk up/sit down sushi bar at the back and an alcohol bar in the middle. There are different sizes of hibachi tables - about half are smaller 7-seat tables and the other half are double size. A somewhat non-traditional addition that I liked were the flat screen TVs throughout the restaurant playing sports. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating - no waiting for a table and our Hibachi cook was firing up the grill within about 10 minutes, but caveat with the fact that this was a Wednesday night. Oh yeah - the food. I got the Calamari hibachi, my wife got the chicken hibachi, and our son got sushi rolls. All were very good, and the hibachi cook's presentation was about standard with ones we've seen before. There menu has a LOT of choices past just the hibachi, and all look very good. Expect around $15 for dinner with hibachi dishes running from about $12 to $20, and (I think) about half that for lunch prices.
Since most folks in WF are familiar with Samurai Tokyo, I will say that I give a slight advantage to this steak house for the following:
Food: Presentation and quality are about the same, but I go with Wasabi due to the fact that they seem to use less butter and a lot less salt in their hibachi dishes.
Decor: Much newer (obviously), modern, cleaner, wide open design.
Service: Faster (again caveat that this was a Wednesday night) and more accommodating. I have repeatedly shown up to Samurai, not had a hostess in the waiting area, and had to sign myself in for a table.
Definitely recommend you check it out. Heads up that the rest of the complex is not completed, so if you are coming from the west on Call Field, you can't see the restaurant from the road until you've passed it.
