The hickory smoked chicken was PERFECT. It was the best piece of chicken Ive ever had from a restraunt. It was perfectly moist and quite savory, full of hickory flavor and unbelievable. The okra was just fried okra and the salad was just salad. Wish they offered spinach salads or mixed or something

Ordered take out through Arrowhead Delivery. Ordered green beans and received corn which was spoiled. Was told salads came with meal but did not receive salads. I was charged .99 each for dressing for the undelivered salads. Chicken fried steak was so-so. Don't recommend this place at all!!

Driving through texas we stayed overnight in Wichita falls. I didnt want to eat at one of the chain restaurants nearby our hotel, so we chose pioneer of Texas. What a mistake. The food was great. This is the one of the last Pioneer restaurant that I have ate at on Southwest Parkway. All the Pioneer restaurants have great food. All is good.

Its an ok place. Not real expensive. Limited menu items and at times unfriendly staff. Its ok if your hungry and just need to eat.
