Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant in the are. I always have an amazing experience, the food is always amazing. The horchata is my favorite, the lemonades are amazing, and all of that is made in-house. The table side guacamole made by Neomei is stellar, and she’s such a sweetheart. I’m a vegetarian, and they’re always so accommodating if I want to switch out a meat for rice and beans, which I normally don’t even have to do because the chiles rellanos is like heaven in my mouth. Our waitress was a doll tonight, too! (The name on the receipt was Guadalupe). Best experience every time.

The food is absolutely delicious! You can litterly taste every flavor. And the food does not taste mass produced, it is fresh. The staff is so kind and more than willing to assist you with all of your needs or questions.

Amazing service. Amazing food. This is defiantly one of my favorite places to eat. Everyone was so nice, they even brought my one year old daughter ice cream. Seriously had the best birthday ever. Going to make this a birthday tradition !

This place has fantastic food and a wonderful staff! We were out having a family dinner and ended up taking pictures. The owner saw that we couldn't get everyone in our pictures and ran over to and offered to take our picture to make sure no one was left of the fun memory. We got to chatting and he explained how all of the food was made from scratch by his wife and family, and the whole staff is also made up of only family and close friends. The food is incredible! Talk about home made! If you like spicy, they can really hit the some high notes on the Scoville scale! The peppers are HOT!! The owner explained they look long and hard for a distributor to find the right and consistent peppers for their recipes. That said, being that everything is home made, I am sure it is just as easy to order without the spicy. This place is a gem! If you like Mexican and have not ever been, do yourself a favor and check it out.

We've been here a couple times now and each time have had something different. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in the 4 years I've lived around the area. The menu is versatile, their Guac is SO good and SOMEHOW holds up next day to add to my rye toast for a delicious, hearty breakfast. The Guac is a must have, their street tacos are simple and just perfect, the Mexican street corn is made to where everyone can enjoy it as unlike traditional street corn it doesn't have a kick but all the wonderful creamy, tart, and yet savory sweet flavor. This will be a semi regular venture for us. The only complaints we have consistently had is the server never refills our drinks even when we slide them to the edge of the table. We've gotten the same server all the times we have went and shes good otherwise. But I hate having to spend half my meal without a drink. Interior is unique and our son LOVES looking around and enjoying the lights and music. This place is worth stopping in on a whim, with a big group, girls night out, family dinner, pre gaming, etc. If I was the owner I'd be proud of this location.

I can write these reviews all day, google doesnt let you respond but i wasnt trying you out i come here every chance i can but just today noticed i hadnt written a review as for bribing me the only ppl who would think its a bribe have never tried that flavorful orange sauce. I love you guys and if i still loved closer i would come by more often im.glad the quality hasnt changed. Allow me to revisit the culinary masterpiece that is El Ray Azteca, and this time, let's dive deep into the mesmerizing world of their unforgettable orange sauce. You see, I'm no stranger to this haven of Mexican flavors; in fact, I've been a loyal patron for years. But life led me away for a while, and it's been nearly four years since I last savored that ambrosial orange elixir. Oh, that orange sauce, it's the stuff of legends, a culinary masterpiece that transcends the boundaries of taste. I've tried to recreate it in my own kitchen, and while I've come close, there's an unattainable magic to the sauce they craft at El Ray Azteca. The thing is, this sauce isn't just spicy; it's a symphony of spice that dances on your taste buds. It's as if the flavors come alive, performing a vibrant, zesty ballet that leaves you craving more, each bite a crescendo of delight. It's not just a condiment; it's a muse for your taste buds. While it's heavenly on tacos, as if it was custom-made for the purpose, I've discovered a secret love affair with chicken and that orange sauce. A simple piece of chicken, marinated in this saucy seduction, becomes a culinary masterpiece. It's like the chicken sings with flavor, each bite a melodious note in a spicy serenade. But you see, El Ray Azteca is more than just a restaurant to me. It's a portal to nostalgia, a time machine that transports me back to the days when I was a regular, sitting at their tables, and savoring the magical orange sauce. It's a taste of the past and a promise of flavors yet to come. So, if you ever find yourself near El Ray Azteca, do yourself a favor – embrace the orange sauce, let it be your guide on a gustatory journey like no other. It's not just a condiment; it's a piece of my history, a part of the story that keeps me coming back year after year, in search of that unparalleled flavor symphony.

Stopped on our way home based on online reviews. Glad we did! Get the tableside guacamole! Fabulous! We also enjoyed the chicken and chorizo street tacos and the Burrito Azteca.

The artwork in the restaurant is beautiful, the food was excellent (as always), and our waiter, Kevin, was amazing! He was so nice and very attentive. When I told him it was my son's birthday, he and a bunch of the staff came over to sing! We always have a great experience here!

Such color! This place is alive with vibrant imagery, happy people, and thumping music. Amani was our excellent server. My wife got the Nachos Supreme. She thought the chicken on the nachos was superb. I ordered the Chicken Fajita. The peppers were particularly tasty.

This place right here.... amazing!!! 3 of us ate and i enjoyed a margarita all for around $60 . Food was delicious to say the least, the decor is great and our waiter knew what he was doing. Can't think of a negative word to say. We were on vacation but I'll definitely be making a trip back.

It happened to be Taco Tuesday so that’s what we ordered. We sampled the shrimp, chicken and beef and all were good. The guacamole was made fresh at our table side and it was delicious! The margaritas were too sweet for my preference and a disappointment. I tried the classic lime and the mango; both tasted like a tiny bit of tequila with flavored syrup.

BEST GUACAMOLE IN TOWN!!!! Delicious food, great servers and excellent atmosphere. I spend a lot of time here with my family and friends and we enjoy it every single time! I recommend this place 100%!!! Best decorated Mexican restaurant in town!!! And if you celebrate your birthday there, they sing happy birthday and make you wear a cute Mexican hat (we took my friend for her birthday and we had a blast)

Coooooolest looking mexican restaurant ♡ Night Club like colors with a wholesome mexican family vibe. They do not skimp on the drinks and I love the option of sweet chili powder rims (I had the El madrazo with it ♡). My partner and I each had one of the enchilada options and they are great! Plus the salsa they serve at the start is actual salsa and not just salsa juice you get at other places. Will definitely be coming back!

First time at El Rey and I we had some of the best Mexican food in the area. Service was excellent and the waitress was personable and helpful. Food was delicious with huge portions. House margarita was tasty but did lack on the tequila. Asked for less ice on our second margarita too.

Hidden gem in the plaza near the old Blockbuster store [for those who remember!]. Most incredible Mexican food in The Valley, fresh and delicious. Mom & I will be back. For those wondering- yes they have a bar, and they have good selection of tequila & rum & other liquors.

While out of town for work I stumbled across this restaurant for dinner. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and found the bar in the back and sat there. Kevin was the bartender and he was great. I started with the patron margarita and it was very good. I wanted to try the regular margarita which was pre-made and I didn't like it so I ended with the merlot. For my entrée I got the shrimp fajitas and it looked great. I dug in and I enjoyed it. The rice and vegetables were also very good. The bill was very affordable and I would return.

I’m from Arkansas and was honestly sad at the lack of Mexican restaurants up here. But I love this place! The restaurant is decorated beautifully, the service is good, and the food is always good. I always get the birria tacos. The queso is great and always hot, the chips are a bit thicker, and I prefer the rice over the beans.
