Great pizza. Just remember, cash only. The pizza menu has two sizes, small and large. If you want a medium, all you have to do is ask.
99% take out, but there are tables. Solid pizza/calzone quality for the area, like a typical greek-style pizza place. Stay away from the hot grinders like steak & cheese or eggplant

Whether your pizza is made by the owner, the manager, or anyone who works at A-1 Hilltown you can count on a superior pie! My son and I got the buy one get one large pizza deal today and as usual we were not disappointed! The dough was super fresh, they went light on the sauce as requested, and both pies were covered in delicious gooey cheese!!!
The pepperoni calzone is is soo good, with fresh ricotta and is perfect to split with a friend for lunch. The fries are great and crispy and the pizza is so so good. Just classic options done really well. We get pizzas at least once a week.
Always a good experience. Two for one large pizzas, always awesome. They also have good gluten free pizza crust.
I am in the area for work today and I ordered a large Cold Cut grinder here. I had no idea what to expect. It was massive! Easily 16 inches. I ate half for lunch, I guess I have dinner now. All for about $8. It was fresh, I got it untoasted. I would certainly recommend them to others.
I had the fried fish sandwich. The 2 filet strips are breaded and served on a large hamburger bun with iceberg lettuce, mayo, tomato, and onion. Tartar sauce is served on the side. French fries and a small side of coleslaw are part of the meal. The french fries are NOT fresh cut...edible but nothing special. Same with the coleslaw. The takeout service is about a 10 minute wait for the sandwich meal. They also have a wide variety if pizzas, pasta dishes and sandwiches. A favorite place for my family.
Friendly staff, and monstrous portions for the money! Cheese and sauce tasted very fresh! Definitely rates as well as the fine pizzerias 12-15 minutes down the road in NoHo.

Our family ordered a large cheese pizza, a hamburger and pepperoni pizza and a large, hot cold cuts sub. All were delicious! Our order was fulfilled quickly and courteously by their staff.
We love A-1! Their pizza is by far one of our favorites. Great experience every time. The service is great and the staff is always friendly.
