Wonderful breakfast experience with an attentive staff. Great atmosphere on our first full day in Williamsburg and conveniently located close to our resort. Offers a discount for resort guests.

This is the second time dining at Mama Steve’s for me. Both times have been a great experience. Serving staff is very friendly compared to other dining options in the area. Our waitress, Ashley, was so friendly and very consistent with checking on our needs. The food is great and very well portioned and priced. Awesome pancake house!

Day after Thanksgiving, we stopped in for breakfast. We looked at each other nervously, and we should have said “no”. We didn’t. That’s our fault. The problems? Start with staff not wearing their masks correctly, pulled down over their nose. Follow this with no spacing at all.
Initially, our table had adequate spacing on either side. Within minutes, people were seated at the adjacent table - no spacing. Third, we couldn’t identify sanitation methods for tables, chairs and menus.

it was so good!! All the people there were very nice, and the service was great. Next time I am in Williamsburg i will definitely have to stop there for breakfast. 10/10 would recommend

A Williamsburg tradition. Great breakfast food, affordable, wonderful service. Have been coming to Mama's for over 20 yrs and will continue to visit as long as they keep the front doors open.

The staff was friendly and the food was alright. The pancakes were quite hardy while the sausage omelette was pretty average. My main complaint was the complete disregard for social distancing protocols. With only 5 other people and plenty of space in the restaurant, people were seated right next to me.

Was seated right away, had a waitress take drink order immediAtely. But we waited 20 minutes before she returned to take order. By that time my family of 5 decided to leave! Waitress said sorry and no charge for our drinks!

The worst restaurant in Williamsburg. My family had the worst experience at mama Steve. The service was horrible and the food just as bad. The wait staff and hostess were mean and not very accmodating. We never got any drink refills and we waited an hour for our food while other tables got their food and paid their check and left. In my honest opinion I would not take my family there if it was the last restaurant in Williamsburg. I don't know who ownsit, but now is the time to really evualate the wait staff, management, decor, and menu. This was an awful experience and I would never subject my family nor my stomach to such. I cannot believe they remain in business with food and service like this, do not subject your family to this place.

Lighten up everybody. It's a pancake house. Food was OK. Coffee good. Service very good. Prices a bit high.

On a positive note, this is a place run by a multi-generational female family. It is clean and the service was okay....it got an okay because I hate begging for drink refills.

On a negative note...our food was horrible. Very gummy pancakes...even seemed a little raw. Marty has tried three or four other pancake places in Williamsburg and he said this one was the worst. I'm sad. I was impressed by the fact the whole family was working there as a team.

P.S. the hashbrowns were good.

Dinner Review. Slow service. Took 15 minutes to get ice water. I asked for lemons 2 times. Pancakes were cold. Servers were colder. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was horrible the service was mediocre my advice GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!

It was average. Food and coffee were hot. Pancakes were mediocre. Expected a little more, but it is breakfast. Forgot the whip creme for the pancakes and 2 side orders. Felt bad for the wait staff wearing those outfits.

Go somewhere else. Everyone who works there needs an attitude adjustment. The pancakes are horrible, they are heavy and taste like glue. Very disappointed, I don't recommend.

Great. Food was good. My wife had bacon and eggs and I had pancakes. Everything was done well. Environment was comfortable and the service was just right. We have been to a lot of pancake houses in the area and this is one of the best.

Fake maple syrup, really???? What kind of pancake house is this. Had better

I don't know what happened with all of you but this place is great-came highly recommended and with good reason. Grits were great, eggs were pretty good, bacon was actually bacon (not paper thin slices of garbage) but the pancakes could have been better however, it still couldve beat out a lot of other places. Service was quick and our food came out lightening fast. Don't read the rest of this noise, go to mama steves for the best breakfast in Williamsburg.

Awful! Service was slow. Pancakes were dry, chewy, and tasted like glue. Not worth the time or money. Do not go.
Todd Torres
Although they were filled to capacity, we were seated quickly. Service was polite and efficient. My Western Omelette, pancakes and bacon were wonderful. Quiet, casual family atmosphere. Much nicer than a chain breakfast option.
Debbie
Yuk. Surly waitresses and hostesses, terrible food (how can you screw up an omelet?!), and a depressing atmosphere make this a place to avoid. My husband asked for onions in his hash browns and was told no because they "are already made up." Once the food arrived, we realized the hash browns had probably been made up for days...if defrosting counts as "making up." Truly bad food.

The best breakfast we had in Williamsburg was at Five Forks Cafe (www.fiveforkscafe.com). Excellent food and friendly service. Don't waste your time and money at Mama Steve's.

Food was overpriced and of poor quality. The servers all looked depressed and unhappy. The tables are too close together and everything needs a good cleaning.
Emjohns
The service was great, however if you're used to traditional sausage gravy and biscuits do not get the chipped beef! It is gross and super salty!! I would go again, just not to order that.
Max
Horrible food takes along time don't waste your money would prefer five forks cafe also takes along time I went there and ordered and then looked at the review I thought it would still be good but it wasn't

Terrible pancakes. For a pancake house, pancakes were awful Both my son and I had basic buttermilk--dry and tasetless. Never again.
Rudy Mendez
The service is a bit slow but it was a Sunday. My eggs showed up still clacking after ordering medium well and it is definitely overpriced for what you get. The pancakes I hope r nit their specialty because it was extremely doughy and heavy despite the thin small portions they serve. Will not e returning here again
Tigerkittin
Well the name is a bit odd and the people who work there look even odder but it was ok the bacon was awosome tho
Mike
Great Name, thats about it.. Greasy and a bit over priced for what you get. I am sure there are better Pancake Houses nearby.
