I have run past this restaurant hundreds of times and walk past daily on my way home from work, but had never tried this delightful, old school Chinese restaurant. That all changed on Xmas Eve, when, as a family we dined. This isn't a new place and the food isn't cutting edge, but everything is what you expect and, truly, delicious. The foods described as spicy had a nice bite to them and the lo mein was so traditional (to my taste buds) as to be comfort food. Recommended. We will go back.

Excellent Chinese.A particularly impressive and affordable lunch menu as well. This place has been taking care of myself and the family for years. Go here for lunch or dinner and you will not regret it.

Everything here is delicious! And the people are wonderful. This is a lovely family-owned restaurant that we are lucky to have in Wilmette. It was my favorite place to take the family before the pandemic and now it's my favorite place for takeout.

This is a casual neighborhood restaurant where the owners chat and are quite jovial with regulars. In general, the food was delicious and above average, with a few exceptions. The pot stickers, hot and sour soup, and shrimp toast were all good. None of us could detect even the slightest crab taste in the Rangoon, which I guess isn't surprising since it was imitation crab in cream cheese. The egg roll was nothing to write home about. As for the main dishes - the Sizzling Rice Shrimp featured enormous shrimp, as did the Tsing Tao Combo fried rice. The sauce in the first dish was a bit too garlicky, although it was quite tasty. The standouts were the Orange Chicken and Twin Mushroom Beef. It was a little surprising that the Orange Chicken didn't include broccoli, but it was so crispy and delectable, we didn't really care. The beef was tender and excellent, although once again, a bit too heavy on the garlic. The parking lot was woefully inadequate for a Saturday night and there weren't any close street spots. My brother-in-law reported that the downstairs bathroom was dirty and gross, and what if an elderly person needed to use the facility - impossible! The service was slow, but they seemed understaffed. Last ... the fortune cookies were inedible cardboard, but they give you almond cookies, as well. Despite these minor complaints, it was a pleasant experience and we have plenty of leftovers.

We just got takeout from here -- we got the dinner for 2 with an extra order of crab rangoons. This was more than enough for THREE people with plenty of leftovers! Most of the food was awesome, we were just a little sad to see that the appetizer sampler (for 2) only included one egg roll, cut in half, but two of everything else. Beyond that, though, very solid choice when you want good Chinese takeout!
