Great place to eat! Would love to try their outdoor setting in the future. Rarely in Wilmington, especially at night, though. Everything was really good, down to the edible flower! Yes, my two littles and I ate the flower dipped in chocolate.

Absolutely love this fondue restaurant. So quaint and cozy. Very romantic. My first ever fondue experience was at this restaurant in 2012. My hubby and I were dating at the time and we decided to go back five years later this past weekend. We got the port and beef broth and the sun-dried tomato Tuscan cheese which was absolutely divine. We got the instant karma and added two proteins pork and tuna which were delicious the creamy dill sauce was to die for. We absolutely love this place and will definitely come back soon.

First time ever going! Will not be the last! The entire staff was great! I met the owner, a real class act! Very down to earth and extremely friendly, even when I asked to change the football game from Penn State (his team) to Clemson(mine). Food was amazing! And you have to get the Dark & Tan for desert.

We were stuck between The Melting Pot and The Little Dipper, which we have never been to before so we decided to try it out for our 2nd anniversary. I am so glad we did! Our waiter, Wendell, was simply amazing. He was nice, attentive, and patient. The food was great and a fun treat! The atmosphere was also really nice. Will definitely go again. Thanks again Wendell!

This was our 10 year anniversary dinner and it was so delicious! This has to be one of the coolest places when it comes to desserts. I highly recommend going here for desserts if nothing else. We got the Fluffernutter dip and it did not disappoint! 10 out of 10 All of the food was good and this place has a great vibe. Our waiter was on point and very helpful in guiding us. Besides the dessert, my favorite thing was the crab soup! I’m a big lobster bisque and crab bisque guy and this was possibly the best I’ve ever had. Good job Little Dipper! We plan to return and re-experience this magical evening. You should give it a try too.

They have Vegan choices and We were very lucky to get Zack our waiter !! He was Wonderful, Efficient and Knowledgeable about Fondueing. He was also a vegan so he was very helpful picking out the vegan choices . Our friends who dined with us aren't vegan and they enjoyed their dinner too !! Great atmosphere 😊

I highly recommend eating here if you’re in Wilmington. The food and service was amazing!!! We only waited about 15 mins past our reservation time, (which was completely understandable) and they apologized so many times and even brought us complimentary champagne! So nice!

We ordered protein side from our cheese and chocolate dip.... Love that we did not have to cook it like we had at the other dipping place on Mayfair... Meats and veggies were deliciously grilled..... The round of chocolate...it was good but wish they had more variety of dark chocolate dipping....the Astec chocolate dipping choice was very appealing but not all of us like chilli in our chocolate.... It's a nice place to have a date night with your friends.... Just can get a little loud and hard to hear what your party is talking.. it's probably because it's little and may need some kind of setting to manage the sound. Anyway love the experience and we'll go back soon.

We were told about this place about 5 years ago. We now reserve a booth twice a year. Between our Birthdays and for out anniversary. It’s always worth the drive for my wife and myself. The staff is very courteous and professional. They provide great recommendations and believe their food is the better quality of eats in this area. I recommend this to anyone that is either coming to this area, or are looking for a place with excellent service, intimate dining, and great quality food. I suggest wearing loose fitting clothes as you will be full. The food never looks like it will be enough but ends up being very filling and satisfying.

Took my family out there Saturday as myself and my kids had never been to a fondue place. We got the ever so helpful Zach as our waiter and he was top notch in every aspect. He made wonderful conversation, wonderful suggestions for our course and what approach would be most kid friendly. As for the food experience itself I was surprised at the range of choices presented, especially in consideration that we didn't select a whole ton from the menu. Also while it may be a odd thing to rant about the apples specifically were mind blowing. I will for sure be bringing my family back for another lovely evening here!

I typically really like this place, but I won’t be coming back on weekends. Gets much too loud and warm in the restaurant to really enjoy the experience. Our server pushed the dessert on us 6-8 times over the course of our experience, which was a little much for my taste. They were kind and accommodating, but the frequency of the upsell got annoying. Likely would’ve stayed for the dessert if the atmosphere was better. Weeknights this place is great, but absolutely avoid on the weekends if you can. The serving size for the cheese could be slightly bigger. We had a lot of leftover bread and other dipping items. It was very tasty and the presentation was nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place for people with disabilities as it is a small area and likely couldn’t accommodate ambulatory equipment, service dogs, or individuals with sensory related disabilities to a comfortable level.

It is very rare for me to feel like leaving a review, but I have truly never had a better restaurant experience. Last night, we visited The Little Dipper for a last-minute date night! From beginning to end, we felt very accommodated and taken care of, despite how busy our surroundings were, not only by our phenomenal waiter, but by the bussers and management. We did all four courses, which is what I would recommend to anyone who has time. From the moment we were greeted by our attentive and kind server, Zach, they explained everything to us first-timers in such a simplistic fashion. My partner and I are not common drinkers, but the cocktail list here is amazing, from light to dark liquors, there is something for everyone's taste. Since it was our first time, we let Zach recommend everything to us, and we were not disappointed. From the Tuscan cheese, to the vegetable broth, and the black & tan chocolate, they were spot on with their recommendations. We left satisfied, and very fulfilled. Advice for those visiting: -Arrive 15 minutes early, because parking is not an easy thing to come by, especially in a tourist downtown. -Expect to spend some time here, it is well-worth it. Sit back and relax!

What a lovely place! I sat out on the deck during their live Thursday night music. The service was wonderful. Brian took care of me, and was also the bartender for the night. The drinks he made were delicious. I had the key lime pie martini and a chocolate martini. I also did the fontana cheese Fondue. It comes with a bowl of bread and then a plate with a mix of fruit (apples and grapes) and veggies (roasted potatoes, carrots and broccoli) everything was really great. My husband's favorite was the potatoes, I love bread so that was mine but I also really enjoyed the broccoli and apples. But really all of it worked really well with the cheese. The only thing I would change, and it's just a personal opinion, I would love if the bread, even if just some of it, was toasted or grilled or in some way heated up to give it a little crunch. But really everything was perfect as is. Next time I go I want to try one of the dessert Fondues. I saw a few come out and they looked amazing. I was too full this time for anything else. Great live music, beautiful spot where you can see the river and watch the sunset. I met the owners who were so kind and friendly. I have some friends coming in town that asked for suggestions. I told them about little dipper and plan to tell many more people about this spot.

What a lovely restaurant. Excellent food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Our bartenders that evening were phenomenal! I would highly recommend making a reservation because they stay busy, but they still managed to fit us in even when we didn't have one. They made my birthday special, and I will certainly be returning the next time I'm in Wilmington!

Yesterday my friend and I tried The Little Dipper after being placed under new ownership. We were promptly greeted and seated at a beautiful window table with water already served. The service was terrific. Zack, our server was excellent. They were personable and so kind! They made sure that we were satisfied the entire experience as well as other staff by asking frequently if anything was needed, and our water glasses were always full. The drinks were fantastic, food was great! I really appreciate how the new owners have transpired what Kristen and Pete have created into the current establishment. It still is the magical fondue place I have loved for many years, and I am so glad it’s still as fun and lovely as ever. Looking forward to going back!

The Little Dipper has been our family favorite for 9 years. From everyday celebrations like good report cards to birthdays and anniversaries, we always come to "the Dipper" for the amazing food and experience. However, our last vist was the best experience ever. The fantastic food remains unchanged under the recent ownership change. The dipping sauces are still the best in town. But the genuine service we experienced among the servers and entire kitchen team elevated our already excellent experience to one that was just phenomenal! We were personally thanked by the owner Jason, the executive chef William, and the kitchen manager Calia. Our server had the very best sense of humor and the most acute attention to detail. My drinks with edible glitter totally topped off our evening. We will always turn to the Little Dipper for the best dining experience in Wilmington. Thanks for making my son's birthday so fantastic!

This was my wife’s first time getting fondue, which blew my mind, and it was great. We order she crab soup and got the havarti dill cheese blend for the cheese course. For the main course we had the Port and beef style with filet, pork, mahi, and portobello mushrooms. We choose four different dipping sauces: yum-yum, creamy horseradish, creamy dill, and Caribbean jerk bbq. All went great with our entree choices. We finished up with port and the chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel course. We actually had desert at home but my wife was having such a good time we decided to get it there for the experience. It didn’t disappoint. I’d recommend this place to anyone. Why go to melting pot when you can go out downtown and support a local business?

This was our first time and it was fantastic! We were in Wilmington for a few days and this was in walking distance of where we were staying. I’m so glad we came and we will definitely be back the next time we visit. The wait staff was fantastic! Our server, Brian, knew it was our first time and was super helpful and friendly. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Edit: shortly after posting this the manager called and spoke to my wife and apologized. I appreciated this wholeheartedly as they did not have to do that. Things happen, i do get that, and i want to say that this level of customer service following up what happened is top notch. End edit, below is the original review. Food portions have got even smaller. Charged our 3 year old as an adult. $24 so he could eat 3 pretzels with his water. I guess it helps the waitress bc now 4 adults, a 9 and 3 year old are now 6 people so the party gratuity could be added. You have to ask for refills now too, no matter how long your glasses sit empty.
