Chef Dean Neff is amazing. We are luck to have his talent in Wilmington. He is a creative chef. His dishes are nuanced and unique. He sources locally and cares and give back to our community. He and Jeff and their amazing staff are a treasure I wilmington. The staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and fun. I've dined at to top restaurants all over the world including many in the top 100 in the world. I recently returned from trips to dc and NYC where we dined at top restaurants there. We dined at pin point last night for the wine dinner and commented that this meal was better than anything we enjoyed in our recent trips (last few weeks) to dc and NYC. It's a true pleasure to be home and dine at pin point in our home town.
This restaurant is perfection! Every single thing that my husband and I ate was amazing in both flavor and presentation. Highly recommend the butterbean hummus-- wish I had some now!! Also, I'm normally one to snub gluten-free baked goods... BUT... the gluten-free brownie was insanely good!! Rich chocolate flavor and the texture was so good that I would have never guessed it was gluten-free!!
I dined at PinPoint last night for the first time. I have had both Chef Dean and Chef Lydia's food in other settings, but it was an even better experience having their food at PinPoint. First off, the atmosphere was lovely. Dimly lit, calm, and cozy tables. We sat in one of the tables right by the window which was lovely. For appetizers, we enjoyed the oysters 3 ways and the butterbean hummus with the amazing homemade focaccia bread. For the mains, I had the Buccatini with soft shell crab and triggerfish, and my bf had the ribeye. The portions were so big!! We were so so pleased about that, and were very full and satisfied at the end of the meal. The wine and beer selection was also nice, and Chef Lydia's desserts are to die for. Don was our waiter and he provided exceptional service that will keep us coming back. All in all, a great experience and we left with plans to return again soon.
I had the pleasure of dining at Pinpoint on Father's Day compliments of my daughter Allegra and her boyfriend Sam. I have had many memorable meals in fine restaurants over the years, but Pinpoint has become my new favorite. Our waiter Peter was attentive and knowledgeable, right down to knowing the farm the heirloom tomato came from. I had the catfish on grits with seared okra. The Chardonnay was a perfect compliment. An assortment of magnificent desserts completed the evening. The experience was made even better when Chef Dean Neff came to our table to ask how we were enjoying our meal. You could see the love of food and hospitality in this guys demeanor. He is the real deal. My only disappointment is that I live in Georgia, so my opportunity to dine at Pinpoint will be limited... This is our favorite restaurant! Since the day it opened we have continued to be impressed by the food, the service, and the atmosphere! We had our rehearsal dinner here and Dean was more than amazing with the dishes he turned out for our guests! Ryan is without a doubt our favorite waiter! So knowledgeable and impeccable taste on recommendations from food choices to wine pairings! Every major occasion our family has celebrated has been at Pinpoint! I just can’t say enough good things!
Pinpoint is our all time favorite restaurant in Wilmington. We eat there before our Wilson Center Concerts. It's a tradition with us!! The food is superb!! The staff are extraordinary !
Sunday night during the driving rain before the Pointers Sisters Concert the owner came outside with an umbrella to get us in our vehicle. What compassion!!

Mike and I had date night at Pinpoint Restaurant last night. The food was amazing. I had the catfish and grits made tp perfection. The chef came over and thanked us for our patronage. What a first class restaurant. We are so lucky to have such great restaurants in Wilmington.
Loved everything about this restaurant. We had a drink at the bar before dinner & the bartenders were so friendly. I had the butter bean hummus appetizer & could easily have made an entire meal of it as it was that good. Drinks, decor, food, people - all top notch. We will definitely be back soon.

We ate brunch at PinPoint today and it was outstanding. Robin, our server, was super knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. We wanted for nothing. Everything we ate and drank was flavorful and delicious. We are already planning our next visit. If you are in the Wilmington area then give this restaurant a try because you will not be sorry!

I had an incredible dining experience tonight! The meal was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. The hosts were incredibly friendly and seated me at the bar effortlessly. The bartenders were a fantastic team, working seamlessly together. I had the pleasure of being taken care of by one of the new bartenders, and she did an outstanding job. The wine I had with my steak was the perfect pairing, and the espresso martini I enjoyed for dessert was simply divine!

It’s always an amazing experience when we go to Pinpoint. I have no complaints! My husband and I love Pinpoint. We love the farm to table concept. I had the grouper and he had the mahi. I love an oyster Rockefeller every time I come here they have a different spin of it. And love every time we come there’s something different on the menu. My husband literally said the food is amazing like 10+ times! We will be back.
The food is outstanding. They offer menu items that are sourced locally. The service was great. It can get loud depending how busy they are. It is pricey but that is expected for a restaurant at this level. I have had the Mahi Mahi and the New York strip. Both were very good. If you are visiting or live in the area and want to experience a locally sourced fine dinning experience this is your place.
I met friends for dinner, my first experience here and found it to be amazing! The wine list, by the glass, was unique with a varied selection. I had the local speared red snapper and was in heaven. My fiends had dessert, a sourdough brownie and coconut lime cheesecake and found their choices so delicious. I can’t wait to come back to try something else!
Great atmosphere, amazing fresh food. We had the clams and grouper for dinner. Deven our server was energetic and a great server.

Nice restaurant to sit down and have a amazing drink and good food. Had the 1884 steak cook great but wasn't a fan of the sauce that was on top. Wife ordered fish and it was amazing. The bartender makes a great old fashioned.
Absolutely amazing! One of the best restaurants in Wilmington. From the time we walked in and were greeted by the host, until the time we left, every moment was perfect. Our server Mike was not only knowledgeable about the menu, but he knew the perfect cocktail pairings. Someone who I assume was the manager was very welcoming and friendly, he socialized with us every time he passed our table. The food was out of this world. I truly can't say enough about this beyond awesome experience.

This was absolutely a great experience from the moment we walked in until we left the restaurant. We were walking around on Friday evening and decided to go into this restaurant that we have heard about from several people. The restaurant had a nice crowd but there were several tables open. We approached the Hostess station and was greeted by "Brook". She had a welcoming smile and immediately made you feel welcomed at the restaurant. We had hesitation in our voices when we asked if there was an open table for 4 people. She said that would not be a problem and escorted us to a nice table. "Brook" also told us what were her favorite things on the menu when we asked her. She made us feel right at home.
Shortly after, our server "Nicky" greeted us at the table and let us know that she would be taking care of us. She asked us if we have ever been to the restaurant before and then explained that this is a farm to table restaurant. So everything is locally grown or from the nearby area. The menu changes daily depending on what is available and that after we look over the menu that she would answer any questions that we may have. "Nicky's" service was amazing and as you can see from the posted pictures the dinner deserved every one of the 5 stars that I awarded. The fish was fresh and prepared excellently. There was nothing left on anyone's plate when the meal was over.
Before I end, I must talk a little about the drinks we were served. The bartenders create a drink menu with very creative and tempting drinks that you would not find in other places. We enjoyed them and felt it enhanced our visit to this restaurant. If you are only looking for a cocktail this is a good place to stop in and try something new.
I must say that if you are looking to have a special meal then you are looking at the right restaurant. The service is top shelf, the meals are prepared and plated with care and the cocktails are outstanding. You can tell that this place takes pride in what they do and how the restaurant looks. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a visit to Pinpoint.
My wife and I love Pinpoint, and I recommend it to everyone I meet that is seeking a great place to eat in Wilmington. Pinpoint offers amazing farm-to-table dishes and cocktails, with ingredients sourced from either local or nearby southeastern farms. Pinpoint also offers a great customer experience. Their staff is very personable and accommodating. The handwritten notes that have been at our tables when celebrating birthdays or anniversaries have been a very heart-warming touch.
