Italian restaurant Osteria, Cicchetti… Is wonderful! The service staff is so welcoming and helpful and caring. The food selections are diverse without being overwhelming… And everything looked tasty
The meal started with some good bread, Parmesan, and good olive oil… We were hungry, and this was a wonderful start to the
For salads, John ordered the house… And I ordered a Caesar. Both are delicious with the house salad having a lot of good things including olives, and pepperoncini… which John was good enough to share with me, since he didn’t like olives and pepperoncini. The Caesar salad was well dressed and flavorful not too much dressing… And big lovely flavor.
John had the chicken parmigiana… It was well spiced and beautifully cooked… Tender, fresh, and hot! I ordered spaghetti Cicchetti… spaghetti with a Pomodoro sauce, and a beautiful, large, tender, meatball and sausage sections that have been grilled plump and tender… I’m a big eater,, but I could not finish it all!
We sat in the bar area for our meal… There are five or six small tables, in addition to the bar seats and counter. It was a lovely place to sit… And we got to sit down without any wait. (Note: John had to get to the airport… So we were on a time clock with limited time to order and eat. The staff landed the dismount, even though there was a little bit of extra pressure for the time requirements.
We enjoyed a great meal here on Sep. 12. The restaurant is beautiful. Our server was excellent, the food was delicious. We shared the bean salad and the marinated Lima beans were incredible. We also shared a flatbread pizza, I can’t remember the exact name but it had all veggies with artichoke hearts, asparagus, tomatoes, basil, cheese. It was so good. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a large parking lot.
We are visiting from New York and tried this restaurant for the first time and we loved it!!!! Our server Keith was on point all around and was awesome! Our table had the calamari, penne a la vodka, and the ravioli. All 3 were amazing, but my favorite was the swordfish over risotto….sooooo good(cooked by Kaleb)!!! For dessert we had the chocolate cake and the tiramisu and they didn’t disappoint! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!
The bolognese is awesome and my favorite dish. They also have really good meatballs and fried mozzarella. The restaurant is located in a beautiful space in Mayfaire. They offer outdoor dinning. It can get busy and loud but it is a must try. It is one of the best Italian restaurants in Wilmington.
New to the area, we were hungry for Italian and decided to try Osteria Cicchetti. After making an early reservation, we arrived at the restaurant and were immediately seated.
I ordered the special of the day. A whitefish served over risotto.
Food for our party was very good. My special plate was very tasty.
Service for our table was spot on with all of our requests fulfilled in a timely fashion.
Desert was strawberry connoli.
I would dine there again.
Phenomenal food, romantic and nuanced atmosphere, and the best wxample of North Carolina hospitality, Osteria Cicchetti is a must-visit for anyone visiting Wilmington, and alongside the nearby Indoshin, should be considered a massive pro for anyone looking to attend the University of North Carolina - Wilmington. Try the bolognese, chicken Alfredo, or penne alla vodka with a nice wine pairing from the excellent bar, then finish up with a tiramisu for dessert.
Showed up for our 7:15 reservation at 7:15. Were told there would be a 15 minute wait for table to clear and for them to roll silverware. Interestingly they sat us at a table at 7:30 that had been open the entire time?
Our waiter was great and did a nice job. We all enjoyed our meals and will come back.
It was a full night on a rainy December evening yet we got in at a bar table and had a good experience. With my younger daughter, we enjoyed some pasta and salad. Scott and John made it a pleasant experience - they provided outstanding service!
My husband took me here for my birthday and our wedding anniversary (9/2/22). The service was great, the food was delicious and you get a good sized portion with enough to take home. The meatball was a little smaller than a softball, but much tastier according to my hubby. We definitely got our money’s worth. To me, the “piece de resistance” was the wine. I could feel several sins coming on it tasted so good! Will definitely be back. 😁🤩😍
Veal piccata was perfect. Wild mushroom risotto very nice. The bread crusty and amazing!
