Ive been search for a duck spot for over a year. I had crispy duck and it was delicious, it’s very crispy, it’s not what I’m used to but still good. Their scallion pancakes and coconut cake is also good.. the spot is cozy, I got there right when they opened so there was not a lot of people.

Great place, great food. Dined in on a more quiet night, but I can see this place being packed. Shout-out to our waiter, James. Packed full of energy, not necessarily matching the cozy vibe of the atmosphere, but damn was he rocking. He took great care of his patrons, making sure everyone was comfortable. The food was fantastic. It's more on the traditional side. We could use more restaurants like this.

I had the double pan friend noodles with shrimp. They served a hearty portions with good quality shrimp. It looked healthy and tasty. The extension I was seated at had a dainty ambience. I would go again, for sure 👍

First time there. Seated immediately. Sat at the low tables...fun and unique experience. Three of us ordered dumplings and spring rolls(best spring roll we've ever had). Ants climbing a tree and sesame chicken as well. So yummy, fresh and hot. Two meals was more than enough for the three of us. Highly recommended!

My parents took me here, and I really enjoyed our time. We basically came in as soon as they opened for dinner, so we were seated right away. I got a wonton soup, and my family got steamed pork dumplings to share. The wonton soup had good flavor, but there was not a lot of meat in the wontons. The fried noodles that the soup came with were crispy and wide, and they were delicious. The dumplings were also good, but I felt that they were maybe mass-produced because they lacked flavor and individuality. I ordered chicken with broccoli for my meal, which came with white rice. The meal was very tasty, and the portions were generous. I enjoyed my leftovers. The service was good, as well. We got a good amount of food, but there were a couple of people clearing our dishes as we finished them. I would like to come back and try more of their menu.

We arrived to Double Happiness around 2:00 PM on a Saturday. We were expecting to be rushed, because the restaurant closes at 3:00 PM. The waitress was so kind and took her time helping us choose a dish. I highly recommend that anyone try the Double Steamer Dim Sum Dumpling appetizer, Spring Rolls and the Hong Kong Noodle with beaf. The spring we're hand made and so fresh with a flaky wrap. All in all it was a great experience and flavor fest!

Great Chinese food. We went for lunch. Yummy Hot and Sour soup:) The Asian Catfish and the Firecracker Chicken were awesome! The sauces had just the right amount of spice. We like spicy! Can't wait to go back at night and try the Crispy Duck!

I've been here twice. It's a place I've never heard of. Food is well worth the price. Excellent service, portion sizes are enough for 2 servings. I like dining in. It's more than the average Asian food experience. You must go and experience for yourself.

Super service and fantastic food!! I didn't catch server's name, but she had great tattoos! The lo mein was terrific as were the spring rolls. I would ask for the dumplings, ordered fried, to be fried a tad longer, but the taste was fantastic! I will need to return, as everything that went by our table looked fantastic! Repeating, but the waitress was really great!

Fantastic. The authentic flavors shine. Double Happiness reminds me of the classy Chinese place in Fort Lauderdale my grandmother used to take me to in the 1970's. I love it! Also it is not too expensive.

Oh my goodness. I was transported back to the 1980's / 90's when we were all being introduced to China Town style food. The serving size isn't overwhelming, nor is it underwhelming. Served with white rice, I had Firecracker Chicken and my wife had Chicken with Broccoli. Their sauces are big on flavor yet very light to the pallet. $$

My favorite restaurant for chinese food. We live close and that's a plus but the quality of the food is the real reason we go back all the time. Always consistent and always a great meal. Plus James is one of our favorite waiters in town. It's open til 10 and we usually wind up here after an early gig. 5 stars...

Blink and you’ll miss it. I did. It’s a tad hard to find and parking is tricky but these folks are slinging some tasty Chinese dishes. I was here for lunch and my waitress helped me with the menu since there were some items I hadn’t seen before. I ordered the egg drop soup with spinach (that was new) and a chicken stir fry in black bean sauce with mixed vegetables and lily bulbs. Never have I seen that before. The lily bulbs are like garlic but sweeter and a nice play off the fermented black beans. Chicken was amazingly tender and the dish was extremely flavorful. As a recent transplant to NC and someone who has eaten Chinese food in many major cities, I was worried that I wouldn’t find a place as good as this. I will worry no more. Find time for this gem of a restaurant. Try something new. I think you’ll be a fan just like me.

We had Shrimp dumplings with chives Sichuan Spicey Eggplant w/ ground pork and Lo Mein combo. The Eggplant was the best of the three. Staff was pleasant.

I have been here twice and each time it was very good. The first time I got the crispy duck and I love sticky buns. My second time I ended up getting the firecracker chicken which is really awesome. And I decided to order some sticky buns. This will definitely be one of my go-to Chinese restaurants.
