Love white front. It's delicious homemade food like grandma used to make. Hesitant to make the review sound too good cause then they'll be busy and I might not get a table :) nice staff and good food. I dont know what else you could need.

We have visited and eaten at White front breakfast house several times over the last eight years. It’s certainly a throwback to an earlier time gone by which is refreshing to see. Unlike the somewhat plastic and predictable atmosphere and set ups of most restaurants, white front breakfast house has been the same for the last 20+ years. The restaurant is clean, the white front staff is friendly. On our most recent visit the food seem to take a bit longer than expected given that the restaurant wasn’t very crowded. But in fairness, the short order cooks were continuously cooking, so I’ll give that a pass. The food is definitely country and I will post the menu so you can see that it certainly isn’t like any other restaurant in Wilmington.

Not only was the food, well priced, and served up quickly, but all the staff was very friendly! My kids loved their meals and enjoyed speaking with the staff. My next visit for work I'm definitely returning and look forward to it!

The service was great, it is literally a little old diner. The food on the other hand was a bit bland (particularly the gravy) but the prices are good enough to balance that out.

We absolutely love finding little local restaurants to eat the atmosphere is wonderful. The food was good. It's fun watching the waitress know what everyone wants as they walk in the door. She was all by herself the day we were there and she apologized for the wait. But truly there was no wait she did fantastic. It was enjoyable and good food.

Great service and great food. Local spot near the house so that's always a plus. Reminds me of the spots I would go to growing up back home. Nice little diner with a diner atmosphere. Gotta say I've read some of the negative reviews on here by other people and not sure where they went but doesn't sound like it was the same place I was at lol. Have been here quite a few times over the years, the food has always been great and the staff have always treated EVERYONE nice whenever I was in there

I would have given them 10 stars if that was an option. We came to the beach for 2 days and both days ended up here for breakfast. The waitress was second to none. The food was delicious. The atmosphere and family-like feel was great.

Don't let the outside fool you, this restaurant is one you have to try for breakfast. I had pancakes which were super fluffy, hashbrowns ( the texture of these were amazing. A little crispy and fluffy) grits and and an omelet. The grits had a nice flavor, NO lumps , which is important, and they were creamy...didn't need much but salt and pepper. I like that the omelet had the ingredients mixed in it and not just folder over with the items in the middle. My partner got biscuits and gravy and said his biscuits were fluffy and the gravy had a great taste. The service was really good, everyone was nice and attentive. The price point was good as well. Get there early it was a bit of a wait and the building is small.

Good ole fashion diner. I like that they give you the option of lunch menu at breakfast time... if you want it. The Reuben was scrumptious, the pancake was perfect... light & fluffy, and the egg & cheese sandwich was delicious too! Our server was Anna & she was GREAT!!

We stopped by for brunch on our way out of Wilmington. The food was good, and the service was great. According to my 8 year old, this is the best sweet tea he's ever had in his life! 🤣💙 (He likes it extra sweet btw 😉.)

I enjoyed my breakfast in this classic dinner. The women were extremely friendly and the atmosphere is terrific. I like that you can sit at the bar and watch them cook your food right in front of you. The food is good and the prices are low. I definitely recommend you stop by, I'll be coming back.

Walked in to order takeout. This place was used in a film, but what place in Wilmington hasn't? This city has a great relationship with the film industry. The space was cozy and busy feeling. The servers were brisk and efficient but allowed you space. There is a diner feel due to the limited seating but on a Satuday morning it wasn't terribly busy. They offer booth seating for four, six if you squeeze along the wall of windows. Simple menu for breakfast lunch, and sandwiches. Off street parking is available.

The White Front has been in Wilmington for decades. The current ownership has maintained the same high quality food and service that the originators had. So glad to see that some things never go out of style.

It's a classic diner, as many stools as tables. Sausage gravy hit the spot on the biscuit and the eggs. Anything breakfast on the menu, dripping cheeseburger looked wonderful. Good coffee, great spot🥞

White Front Breakfast House is a nice treat in the heart of Wilmington. Stopped by for the first time this morning with my son, for a casual, diner-style Sunday breakfast. I work in the downtown area often, pass by this quaint diner all of the time & it is always busy. Well...it was time for the early bird to get the worm this morning with no wait. Nice. FOOD: I ordered the recommended "Poorman's Benedict" (Poorman's Benedict $7.95 Two patty sausages and two eggs on an open faced biscuit, topped with sausage gravy and served with hash browns or grits). I opted for the hashbrowns w/ onions added, & my eggs served over medium, underneath the blanket of southern gravy. It was good. Real good, in fact. The gravy was fresh, had just the right amount of spice to give it a small "kick" but not too spicy. The sausage patties underneath were seasoned the same way. Not sure what sausage they're using, but it works. The eggs were cooked perfectly & once the knife was used to cut through the yolk, down the center...wonderful yellow goodness flowed at a medium pace, not too runny. Well done. The hashbrowns were tasty & the sauteed onions added a nice additional flavor. But...although I enjoy some "crunch" and "crispiness" to my hashbrowns, these seemed to have been cooked a minute or 2 too long for my liking. Although the hash browns weren't 100% dry, they weren't semi-moist either. I ended up mixing my gravy from the Benedict into my hash browns and that made a nice difference. SCORE: 4 STARS! SERVICE: Colleen was a breath of fresh air. Full of energy, friendly & just being herself, you could tell. No artificial persona with this lady. :) She was fast, efficient & genuine. Nice job. My only suggestion or recommendation as an opportunity for improvement would be to disclose any & all possible charges related to a refill for certain beverages, upfront. My young son and I, both, ordered cool, refreshing milk to wash down our southern goodness & my son ordered a 2nd cup later on. Milk is one of those beverages that rides a fine, grey line with some restaurants. Most restaurants do charge another full price, but some I have dined in have offered 1 free additional refill, but only 1. I wasn't informed upfront whether it was another full charge, received the bill & I had $8 worth of charges for 3 glasses of milk ($2.49 per milk + tax). Ouch :( Other than this, service was very good. SCORE: 3.9 STARS! OVERALL SCORE: WFBH is incredibly good if you want some southern fare served up with a smile! Wonderful gravy, well-cooked eggs, served up fresh and hot. But...for a breakfast of 2, in which one was a 10 year-old boy, $31 after tip is a bit steep...even if it was that good. IF...I decide to come back, I'll order water instead & spare myself one-third of my next bill. SCORE: 3.9 STARS!!

The egg part of their omelettes actually tasted like eggs, unlike the omelettes at Goody Goody Omelet House, where the eggs are way too fluffy and creamy and taste as if the majority of the content is milk or cream. Furthermore, the omelettes at White Front actually have the ingredients mixed in with the eggs, instead of just lumping the ingredients on top of the eggs and then folding half of the eggs over (which is what Goody Goody Omelet House does).
