It is our anniversary and we wanted to go some special and nice. We chose Firebirds Grill. We have been here once before, so this is our second visit. This place is fab-U-lous. Yes, that is a capital U. The reason for the capital U, is because this resturaunt treats "U" very well.
They were pretty steady with walk in diners, but they sat everybody very quickly. The hostess team worked very well together. They took us to our table, and the waitress was right there to give us menus and take a drink order. The hostess wished us a "happy anniversary" as did the waitress. We sat and read the very generous menu.
Our salads came on an ice cold plate with an ice cold fork, no dishwasher warm plates holding a limp pile of lettuce leaf here. Nothing more unappetizing than a warm limp salad. I had the BLT salad with Bleu Cheese dressing and Tracy had the Spinach salad. Both salads were delicious and a meal in themselves.
Tracy had the fillet cooked med. well with Parmesan mash potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and cut with a fork. No "return for the burn" here, perfectly cooked.
I had the 12oz Prime Rib, rare with loaded baked potato. The potato was great and the perfect compliment to my meal. The Prime Rib was something you see in a magazine or seen cooked on a good cooking show, not that garbage they throw together on the morning news shows. It was rare and seasoned just right. Never once did we have to wait on anything. Our glasses weren't empty before they were replaced.
I highly suggest this resturaunt. A little pricey, but considering what you get in food quality, service and a great wait staff it is well worth your time for a special intimate meal with a special person. No regrets, we will be returning. Love this place

First mistake of the night: not reading the reviews. We would never of gone, however, we were just another notch in the terrible service belt. We had a reservation at 5:30 PM. We got there a few minutes early and were seated promptly. After ten minutes minutes of conversation, my fiance and I, realized we hadn't ordered drinks yet. We waited five more minutes and counted the times waiters and waitresses walked by our table. After five minutes and ten waitresses/waiters walking by we got up to leave. Told them the table was free and walked out of the door. Was really looking forward to the prime rib too. In the grand scheme of things our $60 possible dinner wasn't a loss, but our message to friends and family will always be; don't even bother with Firebirds.
Update:
Made a complaint less than a month ago. We were sent gift cards to give Firebirds Wood Fired Grill another chance. Wow, did they deliver! The service was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum from last time. Not only did we never have to ask for anything! The food was amazing! Max is the most incredible waiter and delivered the best service we have had anywhere. My glass was never empty, he asked us if we wanted any extras (sauces) before food came and he was a blast to be around! We will be frequent customers. We cannot wait to go back and see Max!
