Guthrie's is proof that choosing to do one thing just right is never wrong. They do golden fried chicken fingers and that's basically it. Light, crunchy, crispy, and dare I say perfectly friend boneless chicken is what you will get. Either in a box with fies and slaw or just a sandwich. That's it! This sounds like a negative but I promise it isn't. With places like KFC and Taco bell always adding items we have gotten use to having a big selection. I feel that having so many things though means nothing gets enough attention. This leads to everything simply being edible but not good. Well at Guthrie's that is not the case they are hardcore focused on golden fried chicken fingers. Let me say you can taste this singular focus. Put simply it makes their chicken delicious. The prices are great, the food is great, the simplicity is great. Eat here if you like fried chicken, just do it. Oh and try their signature sauce it's is mayo based and perfect for their chicken.

Saw this place for months. Was unsure. Then I saw the sign say free sample. So I walked in and was blown away. For a quick chicken joint it is absolutely amazing. Prices are on point. Please, come try this place.
Barebone, no nonsense chicken fingers. I’m a four year veteran employee of Chick-Fil-A, and this is the only place with better chicken fingers. (Blasphemy, I know.) They are perfectly flavored, and amazingly AMAZINGLY tender.
The menu is very stripped down. They sell chicken fingers, fries, cole slaw, and toast. Very bare decorations. There are chairs and tables.
You don’t come here for all the fancy stuff. You come here for simple, easy, good food.

There is only one thing on the menu. When you only serve one thing on your menu, you better make sure it's damn good. They did. It is.
Best chicken tenders and the sauce is off the chain! Friendly and attentive staff, clean store and fast service. I have no idea why this place isn't busy. Why wait in line at chick fil la when you can have hot delicious tenders, great fries at a really great price! Please give this place a try and if guarantee you you'll be back again and again. Come on Winter Haven let's keep this place open!
Delicious! My first time eating at Guthrie’s and ordered the box; chicken was tender and cooked fresh with generous portions, loved the crinkle fries and sauce. Service was very pleasant and fast. It was a bit more expensive than expected and the box meal did not include a beverage. I wish there would have been a smaller “snack” size portion but will definitely be visiting again.
The food was ok and still hot. The good thing was they forgot to follow up my order and we ended up waiting for few more minutes and the new customers got their food first. But, the server made it up and apologized for the delay and gave me and my friend a coupon for free box meal the next time we visit. Their chicken fingers is better than other fast food restaurants.
Good place for a quick bite. The chicken fingers are fresh and tasty, the Texas toast is great and the fries are nice, fresh and crispy. Also, great sauce. And the people that run the place now are very customer-oriented and friendly. Will visit often!
Food is fresh, and tastes great, keeping it simple is a fresh new approach, makes ordering simple, quick and easy. And I especially enjoy the relaxing, and family friendly music. Way to go, to the owners, and management, families do not need to worry what their children are exposed to here, it's a positive and encouraging atmosphere, I wish other businesses could be brave enough to care about what gets played in their places. This is a great eating experience, we will be back often.
My Favorite Place to eat. Their chicken is nice and crispy..I recommend the family Package and one more thing, their fries are the best. I order an extra to go. Before I forget don't forget to get their rewards card what you spend is added to the card and when you reach 100 points you get a $10 off coupon. I'm salivating as I write this....oh Before I forget kids under 10 eat free on Thursdays a couple of hours before closing time.
I went to eat chicken fingers at 10 a.m. and I was welcomed with great customer service! The young man took my order and brought it to my table very quickly. Everything was hot & crispy- Just the way I like it! I give it 5 stars !
We did not order a whole meal, we just got a order of chicken finger, so I cannot comment on the food as a whole. However, if the chicken fingers are any indication of the rest of the food then this place must be pretty good. The chicken fingers were cooked golden brown to perfection and had great flavor.
Delicious chicken strips. Had never heard of this place so we went easy on the ordering. Drove off and WISHED we had ordered much more. Very inexpensive too. $1 a strip! Cole slaw is the kind that's a little sour, so not my favorite, but it was good
Love me some Gut box! Been eating at Guthries for 20 years Starting in Tallahassee and Gainesville FL. This location recently redone. I love their light breading and freshness of the chicken fingers, fries, and coleslaw! Always good and always the same. I agree with one other reviewer the portion size has gotten a little lower but I combat that with an extra finger or 2 still cheaper and way better than the "other chicken finger place" IMHO. I eat there everytime I'm close by!
Lets just say if you haven't try it , you should. So hot , so fresh! If you like juicy chicken tenders go. The sauce is boss. Sweet tea is dangerously sweet ,so get half and half if you can't have e mucho sugar .Also join there text messaging club.They have great deals.
The chicken strips were uniquely great. The gals who work there are really nice. The prices are reasonable. The thing that puts this place over-the-top is that they play the Joyfm radio in the restaurant. That shocked me to know a Christian restaurant owner in this day and age would have the courage to play Christian music in the restaurant. I will continue to support them with my patronage for them playing joyfm.
