I really like this place. (only ever been to WP location) Every time I come here the food is excellent, servers are fantastic, rarely a wait. I've had a duck sandwich, lamb burger, excellent salads, grouper with goat cheese, etc. Wine and beer choices are decent for a restaurant. A bit pricey for me, but great quality. Live music every night (that can be annoying if you want to talk and relax in the evening).
The place is nice and the service is Top Notch! My friends and I stopped through for a brunch event after a day at Universal and I'm so glad we did! I enjoyed the Crab Hush Puppies and the Shrimp and Purple Grits. My drink was so good, "Mine is Better" and I will definitely come back.
This year, I needed a new option for Thanksgiving dinner as I decided not to travel to visit family. New Standard really delivered with their "Everything But the Turkey" package! Included were Thanksgiving salad, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans with meaty ham or bacon bites, and a whole pie. All of it was delicious, and really captured the spirit of the holiday. I also purchased the Manhattan cocktail kit, which did not disappoint.
Very unique, fancy, but edgy restaurant. Creative and strong drinks. Great atmosphere, very chill. Got nice live music that wasn’t overwhelmingly loud so I could still hear my date talking. Only problem is you don’t get a lot of food for the price you pay. I wasn’t fully satisfied, and usually for $20 a meal I have leftovers. Maybe if they served bread or something while we wait for food this wouldn’t be a problem. Or increase portion size. I would recommend however, place is worth checking out.
Great atmosphere and loved the live cover band that was playing! Also, their "adult juice boxes" were super delicious and definitely packed a grown-up punch! We had the shrimp tacos (pictured), pork belly, fish dip,, and the burger. I wish they had more of a selection of apps, but all were enjoyable. The service was fantastic and I'll ask to be in Stephanie's section the next time we go!

3 Aug 2019.... First time earing here, great experience! Tonight there was a Beatles tribute band playing, they sounded very good, enjoyed their tunes. My wife had a craving for some fries, so we ordered a basket of steak fries as an appetizer. Normally we have to complain to restaurants about their fries being undercooked, flimsy, cold.... Tonight I had to complain that the fries were too hot :-) ** kidding - no complaints. Every restaurant should learn how to serve hot fries. Must be rocket science that others haven't figured out yet. Also... They serve Heinz ketchup. Yay! Restaurants that serve me cr@p Sysco commodity ketchup never see me again! We ordered a couple of sandwiches for dinner, grilled chicken and Cuban sandwiches. We enjoyed them! Both sandwiched were pressed down and toasted... Many restaurants that offer Cuban sandwiches don't understand what "pressing" means. Even at some Cuban restaurants when I tell them "press it a little longer... I like it a bit crispy" they treat it like more rocket science. Sheesh... Here at Dexter's the pressing was perfect and the pork was fresh and thick. My only complaint was that the side of yellow rice and black beans was much skimpier than it should have been. My plate had too much white space showing. I tell restaurants this all the time... DO NOT SKIP ON THE SIDES ESPECIALLY THE STARCHY ONES WHICH ARE SO CHEAP TO BEGIN WITH!! Rice, potatoes, pasta... all are SO INEXPENSIVE which makes it so easy to use as a crowd pleaser. I received a small saucer of rice and beans. They were good, but a small cup-of-soup sized bowl would have been more appropriate (however this is not worthy of deducting a star because overall we had a nice evening). And our server was great! She was attentive and pleasant. We had enuff to eat and each of us even brought home half a sandwich. I would of eaten the whol thing, but I was getting the "you've had enuff, piggy" eye from my wife :-) We will be back!

The new location is Awesome. Plenty of seating. Love the outside seating area. Not sure what days they offer live music but they did the night I was here.
Teres major, best steak I've had in over 10 years, incredibly tender, juicy and flavorful. Skip the pistachio old fashioned and get a hickory smoked old fashioned with Four Roses. Great live music and outstanding service.
Me and my sister went here fir the first time and were fairly impressed! It was sooo goood!!!! We loved the variety of mimosa flavors and from the bread and spread, the pimento cheese was my favorite. Delicious!!! Will definetly come back!
Nice environment located near downtown winter park. The food was good, and the staff was friendly. The pesto bucatini pasta with shrimp and chicken is always delicious no matter what Dexter's you go to! I also tried the fish and chips yesterday. Great choice!!
We went to the grand opening and had NO IDEA. The service was the greatest experience. Our server (Jillian with a G) was fantastic! We loved her! She was attentive and sweet. The food was incredibly delicious! We will return very soon. Check out the photos!

One of my favorite places to see great local music, eat great locally sourced food, and amazing craft cocktails. I Love the whole staff.
My Bestie was craving Chicken n Waffles! We went to the location in Winter Park. As soon as I walked in I felt at home. The restaurant is very very clean. And everyone are following Covid-19 Guidelines. I was greeted By Kaylah ❤️with a warm smile. She sat us down in outside seating and made sure that we were comfortable. Then we where greeted By Ciera...perfect energy and amazing personality. If you Dine here pls make sure you request her❤️. There wasn't a moment my friend and I needed anything. And as a cherry on the top we received a visit from the manager Phillip to make sure everything things was okay. To our surprise it was the same gentleman that Expressed concern when I dropped my phone before I walked into the establishment. If I can give 10 Stars I would I strongly recommend this to everyone that visits winter park. When it comes to the food me and my friend had chicken and waffles which was amazing!!!!! And I ordered my daughter a burger to go From there brunch menu.
5 stars for the mixologist behind the bar. The bartender whipped up an espresso martini. We had to wait awhile for the espresso to come from the kitchen but it was worth the wait.
The saxophone player was also amazing.
BUT there was a manager (I assume because he was wearing a suit) he was quite rude to my group. It did seem like he didn't care for our business and I wondered if it was because we were the only ladies wearing jeans.
The food was delicious! I’ve been for brunch recently and for dinner a couple years ago. Both times were really great. I had salmon for dinner which was cooked very well. For brunch I had eggs Benedict (pictured) which was delicious! I wish it had been on a biscuit rather than on the bread (French bread I think) but it was still tasty. Others at my table got different brunch items and all of it was very good. Biscuit and gravy was amazing! The reason I’m giving a 4 star is that there seemed to be no sense of urgency as far as waiting on the table, taking orders, and offering refills.
Today I had Sunday brunch at Dexter‘s. I was celebrating my wife and my mother’s belated Mother’s Day. The experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was casual yet attractive. The art on the wall was very neat! And most of the artwork was for sale. I have nothing that I can validly complain about. I highly recommend this place for a quick and inexpensive Sunday brunch.
