We had such a great time here! We felt right at home and the food was spectacular! Great food, great service!

I like this place because the food is extremely good, cheap and fast. Even when it's packed. The wait staff will tell yeah the specials for the day and can tell yeah where the stripers are running also.
I always get the 2 large blueberry pancakes and wheat toast and it's 5 buck. I never have a problem finding parking either.

This local diner/cafe is fabulous! We were staying locally (within walking distance) and ordered lunch online for pickup. The staff is extremely friendly and personable. The sandwiches we ordered were fresh and had a generous amount of meat. The onion rings were wonderful.

The service was very fast and friendly. It's in a great location within walking distance of the Inn at Crystal Cove, and within walking distance of wonderful views of the harbor. The coffee is good, but the food is not the best.

Came here for breakfast Sunday morning of 8/22/21 with my two good friends! What a neat little establishment, it had that mom & pop feel when you first walked in. I ordered the corned beef hash, with poached eggs and rye toast with a orange juice. It was all delicious. Staff was pleasant. Definitely check this establishment out.

Great breakfast. The cook is the same guy that's been there through change of ownership I believe 3 times over 25 years. He knows how to cook. Never got my second cup of coffee. Great food but I think my opinion they need to hire new upbeat servers.

We LOVE the Hi•Tide in downtown Winthrop, MA!
When we used to live in Winthrop-By-the-Sea we'd pop in on a Sunday and I'd load up on eggs (over easy) atop corned beef hash, with coffee, of course. And toast. And, probably, a side of pancakes, or maybe French toast.
But, please! Hold the hash browns ~ I'm slimming! (Seriously, I'm no fan of hash browns - anywhere.)
Also seriously: All that for decent money. Went back this past Father's Day (2021) at my request. Held off on the short stack 🥞. Ah, well. There's always next year.
Or, maybe... next week! 😆

Cheap. Bacon, hash and other meats left out above griddle not refrigerated, and cook just grabs it with his hands before grabbing other things like a slice of bread and toasting it. In most cities you would get shut down for this, but here it’s part of their charm.

Adequate. This cozy town diner earns a solid 3/5 stars. Service was fast and cheerful, coffee was piping hot, and the wait wasn't too long even on a crowded sunny Sunday where everyone in the Point Shirley / Winthrop Beach area seems to descend on the place. Expect all the usual diner fare of overcooked eggs, teeny-tiny glasses of juice, home fries, and pancakes served with fake maple syrup. I'd probably be more likely to return for lunch - since the menu of classic club sandwiches and subs seemed a lot more appealing.

I have lived in winthrop for almost four years and been to this places so today my sister and I walked over to get breakfast. We walk in and there was a couple who walked in before us still stand by the door until they went to the counter asking for a table when one of the staffs said to grab any table. So my sister and I sit and grab menus and everything sounds really good and we pick what we want and wait for a waitress to come by to get our order. We sat there for about ten minutes and still no waitress came by to get our order or even to say hi be with you in a minute. So my sister got up went to the counter and had to ask for a waitress. And we over heard the waitresses say "we didn't notice them ha ha" and noticed out if ten waitresses six of them where sitting around eating. Finally a waitress came by and took your order and the food came within ten minutes. I got special#8 which comes with eggs bacon toast home fries and I asked for french toast were my sister got the same plate but asked for the half waffle. The eggs were bland the home fries where burnt the bacon had a fishy taste my sister's bacon was still raw and my french toast was salty. The only good thing was the whole wheat toast and the half waffle that my sister got. The waitress came by to give us the check which was about $15 which was cheap. We only left a $2 tip and also left a note thanking them for the bad service salty french toast and fishy bacon. I WILL NEVER go back to that place even if it becomes the restaurant in winthrop. Worst breakfast ever!!!!

An Oasis. We were driving through winthrop, and chanced to see this coffee shop ... we hadn't had our morning coffee yet, so we stopped. Not the conventional coffee shop, more a breakfast nook ... but charming, cozy, and staffed with friendly people. We plan to return soon.

Big Breakfast, Small Bill. Hi-Tide Coffee Shop is THE place in Winthrop to get a filling, quick, delicious diner breakfast at prices from yesteryear. Nothing fancy here at all - plain American breakfast fare: eggs, bacon, waffles, home fries, pancakes, waffles and diner (i.e. 'weak' but good) coffee. Lots of locals, and the waitresses call you 'hon.' I wouldn't call it a destination restaurant, but if you're in the area, it's a WONDERFUL asset.

The best breakfast in town.. Positively, absolutely, the best breakfast in Winthrop. Small shop, but big on portions and atmosphere. The food is hot, tasty, quick and plentiful, and prepared just like days of old by Steve, the short order cook. You might wait in line on weekends, but its worth the wait!
