Such good food and a great price for the family outing. Would recommend this place for anyone who wants a good meal and fast friendly service .
Hopefully my five stars helps offset the angry lady below my post. Ms whole food girl, going to diners smdh... she is the exact reason the internet sucks.
The food was great, good flavor, and we'll be back.
The food was delicious.. Cooked perfectly!!! Prices are reasonable and very comfortable family style atmosphere... Would recommend highly for down home yummy eating experience...
Today was our last day of vacation and our last breakfast before our ride home! The hospitality and quality of food we just enjoyed was above all this entire week!!! I got a blueberry muffin and a ham and cheese omelet! Exceptional to say the least!! Thanks for helping close our vacation with a delicious meal!
Great food, friendly waitress, pancakes the size of your head. Definitely a recommended stop!

The best eggs Benedict I've had in a long time. Excellent homemade hash as well!!
Wonderful place, great service and the best eggs Benedict!
Nice seeing you all today, thank you for our sample of fish hash. We all lived it compliments to James. See you all soon.
The eggs benedict is amazing. My new favorite place to get it.
Deliciously home made food and great service! The way dining should be.
Fantastic food, wonderful people! Our favorite place to eat! We give it five stars!
This place has amazing food.
Friendly service, fantastic food. Tried the Meat lovers breakfast skillet today, not knowing what to expect. Not greasy, excellent presentation and flavor.
A selection of hot sauces for the adventurous too!
Fantastic breakfast and very filling. Was looking for a diner to stop at while going north on route 1. Miss Wiscasset diner had good reviews and decided to stop and check it out.
Location is great. Right on route 1, so its real easy to just pull in. Also the parking lot is large enough that we didn't have trouble parking our trailer.
Don't let the outside deceive you the inside is roomy and has a rustic charm. Bathrooms are very clean. They do take credit cards.
Service was fantastic. Our water and tea cup was always full.
The chef came out and personally took our order and explained the food to us. He takes a lot of pride in has food and it shows. He even came out later and explained his wonderful baked beans to us.
Food
The eggs Benedict meal was good. The hashbrowns were the star of the dish, thin, crispy, almost like a ladke. The Benedict had a thin and wide english muffin, with real ham, nice hollandaise sauce, and the only area of change is the egg was slightly overcooked and would prefer a runnier egg.
Had the Miss Wiscasset breakfast special which I didn't realize was huge. Came with 2 eggs, meat choice (I got the ham), potato choice (I got the home fries), pancake/french toast (I got pancakes) and baked beans. The ham was a thick slice of good ham and the pancake filled the entire plate. Everything was fantastic but the star was the baked beans. I am not a baked bean person but these baked beans were super. They were creamy, not to sweet, and well balanced.
So happy to have spent our breakfast calories at Miss Wiscasset Diner and will stop in again when traveling through the area.
My boyfriend and I are always on the lookout for a good ol' greasy spoon. We pass this place on our way to Boothbay and have always wanted to try it. Omg. Get the biscuits and gravy!! Doesn't look to pretty, but it's soo delicious. Can't wait to come back!
I LOVE breakfast food. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place that feels homey/warm and also has stellar service and great food and good prices. This place checks all those boxes in my humble opinion. It’s the first and last place I eat when I’m home visiting. Last time I ate there was the fall, the chef made incredible pumpkin pancakes! Can’t wait to visit again!
Just dropped in while passing by. Had a breakfast skillet, OK but not spectacular. All of the meats were pre-diced and just added to the skillet with home fries, heated and topped with an omelet. Food was served ultra fast and was good, but fell just a little short of expectations. I'd still stop if I was passing by again. Very reasonably priced.
I had the Breakfast Special; 2 eggs, hashbrowns, pancake and 3 SLICES OF BACON. A Wicked Good Breakfast! The coffee kept coming and the waitstaff was top notch. My wife had the French toast. She is not a big eater, but she put a big dent in it. There was nothing left on my plate. If you like good local places to eat, this is it. Enjoy!
I'd just like to say, that all the previous reviews are null and void as the place has fallen into new hands. The waitresses are extremely helpful and the food is home cooked and delicious. The interior has been redecorated and is simple and modest with a few Maine antiques hanging on the wall. Definitely stop in a give it a try. I guarantee it's better than the last time you were there!
A for effort on a hot July Saturday when your short order cook doesn't show up. The owner took over the stove and turned out some tasty food. I be wouldn't hesitate to stop again.
Bad reviews are 5 years old. New owners took over 2 years ago. Awesome food, awesome service. Our go to breakfast spot every time we head up Route 1 to Rockland (sorry Moody's).
Had lunch there yesterday. Service is always given with a smile and a hello how are you. I had a turkey club served with chips and a pickle and my company had a breakfast sandwich which she said was delicious. They are open from very early morning until 2 p.m. Most days. You can have breakfast or lunch at any time. I would recommend them to anyone directly on Route 1 in Wiscasset.
Great food (not a bad item on the menu), better staff. We always feel genuinely welcomed by everyone in the house. Also, the card reader \ tip system is fast and easy to use.
The best breakfast in Maine hands down! Fresh eggs, crispy bacon delicious pancakes and baked beans on top of your eggs! I'm in heaven! I'm from New Jersey and I make it a point whenever I'm in Maine to go to Miss Wiscasset to get my favorite breakfast in the entire world!
Super awesome staff, and pretty good food! It was a very pleasant local diner that we were thrilled to have our last breakfast in Maine.
It's real Maine food, provided by real Maine folks!
Not sure how long the Miss Wis has been here, but it's always a treat to stop by. From the wood stove in the corner on a cold winter morn, to watching the summer traffic, I always enjoy my visits.
Wife reports that the steak and cheese - labeled as the 'Miss Wis Special' - is delicious. I couldn't say, as I was buried nose first into the best chicken fried steak I've had... And then I tried the mashed potatoes as an afterthought, and my God - I had an epiphany: mashed potatoes are capable of being the center point of a meal. They were astounding, subtle, seasoned deliciously while maintaining an inherent potato-ness that you'd expect to be overshadowed by spice. Also: both steak and mash were plentiful, which is a puzzle given the price of (at least as of this writing) 8.50.
This was the BEST breakfast ever. The hash browns and the hash were outstanding. The warm greeting and service were awesome too. This is going to be our new go to breakfast and lunch place.
