This is one of the best sushi places in Queens. I’ve tried a lot of other places, but this is incredible. The sushi here is fresh and the quality of the fish is very good. The sushi rice isn’t overwhelming with vinegar, most of the sushi places add in a lot of vinegar.
Feels a lot like I'm in Tokyo here. Service was fast, sushi was excellent & I tried Ramune for the first time. It was not too busy since it was toward dinner and a rainy day. It felt like an authentic Japanese atmosphere & the waiter was friendly. If I have another opportunity to eat here I will invite friends. They gave me a lot more Sushi then I expected for the price.

Excellent restaurant, friendly and quick staff, good food and really great prices for the quality. The miso soup was fantastic as well but I didn't get a picture. The sushi rice was a little too seasoned for my tastes but otherwise 0 complaints, and I would hands down recommend
It's right off the 7 train. The staff is very attentive. The food is soooo good. I've really been into the bento boxes lately and they make you not to full....which means room for dessert.
First time trying a new Japanese Style Sushi Retaurant. It's conveniently located downstairs from the 7 Train's 61st Street - Woodside Station. It was busy even after we showed up past the lunch hour rush. We were still able to get the bento box lunch specials and ordered a few extra sushi rolls and a fried green tea ice cream to finish our meal. It was alot of rice and will fill you up. The food was good overall with competitive pricing.
Was walking around Woodside with my girlfriend and we stumbled upon this gem. Decided to get a small appetizer, the tuna tango, and to share a fried noodles (soba) with shrimp. They actually put a decent amount of shrimp to my surprise. Both plates were very tasty, and also very light on the stomach. Good portions in my opinion and definitely would recommend. Try the tuna tango!! Super unique plate.
Also will mention that the service is good. All of the servers are very polite and they create a very calming environment.
Very polite service and clean spacious atmosphere. The food was delicious 🤤 as well as the green tea they serve you upon arrival. My mother is a picky eater but she loved the chicken teriyaki so we will definitely be coming back, once a week hopefully 😉

My miso soup came first, it was tasty and hot, but perhaps a little too salty. I liked it, though, and the warm, refreshing character of the broth was the perfect escape from the chilled touch of the biting cold weather outside.
The boy brought me my sushi, which was something called a “viking roll.” It had eel, and that was the only reason I chose it. Even without the soy sauce, the roll was killer. I loved the delicate balance between cucumber, eel, rice, and the other mixed vegetables; it felt like cool crashing waves, with the tide touching my feet. The soy sauce added a sweet blend of flavors; like the hot sun raising the temperature of the vast waters. Overall, the roll was excellent.
The chicken teriyaki was phenomenal. I appreciated the seasoning of the meat, the presence but not overuse of the sauce, and the precise employment of the cucumbers. It was great, light, and powerful.
My meal at Matsuri was excellent. The sushi was delicious and fresh, the soup failed to disappoint, and the teriyaki was great. It’s not my favorite place in the area, but it’s damn good.
Their bento box dinners are very filling! You get so much food for a good price. And the tests taste is authentic! You really can't beat the taste or the price. I highly recommend this spot.

The service was amazing. I had 2 shrimp tempura rolls and an avocado & cucumber roll and both were good. I also had the green tea fried ice cream for dessert but I forgot to take a picture of it ☹️ the fried ice cream was incredible, perfect amount of sweet and savory because of the fried component. Can’t wait to try more dishes when I go back!
Great service, clean, well lit and excellent food. You have to try their peach soda, it's very refreshing and crisp. Spicy lovers roll was good, also ordered the pineapple chicken (YUM). Best part is if you dont know what you like looks like, you can look it up on their menu.
Love the food and the atmosphere of this place. The staff was really friendly and helpful. There is a great selection of items on the menu. So most likely you will find what you like and want. I like how their menu has pictures of the food. Highly recommend this place for Japanese food lovers or someone who never try or been to one.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a new place to try out in the neighborhood and we found Matsuri. We ordered spice edamame, ika murayaki, and 2 sushi lunch specials (5 rolls total). The food itself tasted great and the presentation of the food itself was very simple and straightforward, which I loved. The restaurant itself is very clean, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is that of an chic, upscale sushi restaurant, but with very affordable pricing. I will definitely be back!
This place always been the top on the list. The sushi is so good here and Shrimp Shumai is a must try.
Service and food is always spot on. This is our local go-to Sushi place. Also has great lychee martinis 🍸 ;)
Good to know if you are Woodside area . . . Great service, friendly staff, clean, well lit and excellent food. You have to try their eel roll it's very refreshing and crisp. Decided to stop for lunch on our way to the airport. Delicious food. Fast service. Checked our vax cards for dine in. Clean and friendly.
