Always a favorite spot for dinner. Great wine list and food. Can't wait for it to reopen.

Amazing place with great ambience and exceptional service. If you want to enjoy cozy evening dinner with your loved ones then this is a must go place. Visiting around sunset is preferred to enjoy the forest look and would recommend to ask for forest side seating. The restaurant puts in all the efforts to please the customer with food and service. Good place for romantic dining

Gorgeous location, dining room and outdoor seating - and the ride there is a treat. Great burgers and service! The complimentary Tesla destination charging is also very appreciated as there isn't much charging available around the area. Stop by for a wonderful break!

Love this place. Such a beautiful setting. You feel like you're in the trees in the dining room, and the bar up front is always fun. Best rib eye steak I've ever had, and bread pudding is off the charts. On our last visit, our server Ross was fantastic.

We found this place while driving through redwood park and decided to check it out. We were from Europe, traveling around California and out of all places i think we felt the genuine American atmosphere here the most. The burgers we had were very good.

It has a cozy bar in front and the restaurant is located at the back. The restaurant has a stunning view of redwoods. The service was great and super friendly. We ordered elk, rabbit, shrimp and wild boar. All was excellently cooked and well priced. Desserts are a must to have as they all have a homely feel. Absolutely loved this place.

I’ve had my eye on this quaint little place for a few years. Last Friday we finally made our way up there. Right off the bat, the charm of the Santa Cruz Mountains pulls you in. The rustic cottage facade of the Mountain House against the soaring redwoods is an astounding sight. The dinning room features decor and styling similar to the fine restaurants of yesteryear, and opens up onto a stunning sun room with panoramic views of the forest. Our waiter was Wade. A well spoken and seasoned service member of the Mountain House. He was very attentive and knowledgeable regarding every last item on their eclectic menu, I guess 26 years of passion and dedication will do that! We had the Wild Boar Pierogis-a fantastic twist on the Eastern European classic. We followed them up with a slice of the pecan pie and the Lavender Panacotta. The latter of which perfectly strikes the hard to balance floral flavor. Overall-a magical trip-

Came on a Wednesday evening to celebrate our daughter's new job. Beautiful ride up and not much traffic for 6pm. We were greeted warmly by everyone and seated in the forest room, which has spectacular views. Started off with a lightly, crispy calamari appetizer and a bottle of the local wine, Kings Mountain cabernet 2013. We were a party of 3, so the appetizer was a bit small, but okay because I knew we'd be ordering dessert. We ordered 2 skirt steak entrees and 1 rib eye steak. All 3 were tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. The vegetables were prepared al dente and the mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy. Also, ordered a shitake vegetable soup, which was tasty and well seasoned. We finished dinner with 2 shared desserts. The portions were generous. The creme brulee had a smooth texture, perfection on sweetness and a beautiful carmelized top. Pretty. The chocolate browny was to die for. Rich chocolate sauce, but not overly sweet. Fresh vanilla ice cream topped the decadent buttery chocolate browny. The entire dessert was topped with freshly whipped cream sprinkled with lightly candied walnuts. Went to food heaven tonight. Even my picky husband was satisfied. Thank you for a lovely dinner. Will be back.
