found a great new spot in Worcester for food and fun...Smokestack Urban Bbq in Kelly Square...place is very hip..is that still a word?...but it's a fun place with lots of craft beer on tap and creative drinks...the bbq offerings are the focus here but they have other items that most spots have like salads and burgers...the chalkboards around the space offer drink options...I had the John Daly made with sweet tea, lemonade and vodka...hit the spot...I had the pulled pork and I chose baked beans and apple slaw for my sides...my mom and my buddy Sylvester English make much better baked beans than these and the slaw wasn't anything unique...figured apple slaw would be quite course and crunchy..wasnt....cornbread was moist and tasty...great bbq sauces on the table for your meats and they were very good..loved the one based with molasses...tasted the boys Mac and Cheese and their brisket and chicken...very good...the address here is Green Street and I noticed there were other restaurants in the neighborhood that looked very interesting like Birchtree Bread Company and the Hangover Pub...only thing we found odd was how bitchy the waitress was...strange...but aside from her, highly recommend this bbq spot

Had the best time yesterday. The staff were very attentive during the pig roast and oyster fest. The music was top notch. And the food was amazing as always. Highly recommend trying this place. Or go back again and again
I'm not overly familiar with the Worcester dining scene, but was pleasantly surprised by Smokestack. The vibe, service, and food was tough to beat. The location is great and parking wasn't too difficult even with 6 inches of snow. Nice selection of beer and the BBQ rivals anything else in New England.
The ribs and the brisket are insane! Tastefully smoked and well complimented with the Mac and cheese and their barbaque beans. Great meal! Also there's hand-drawn chalk art at the restaurant that I found so cool!
We grabbed dinner here before a show at the DCU center and it was phenomenal. The best BBQ I have had. We got the brisket and pulled pork, with Mac n cheese, apple slaw, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and cornbread. The place was empty when we went at 4:30 (right when they opened), and the food was out in (no joke) less than 5 minutes from when we ordered it. Everything was delicious and not unreasonably priced. Our waitress did hawk a bit, coming over multiple times to ask how things were, but that could be because we were literally the only people there. Would definitely go back, and if we were local, this would be a regular spot for us.
Excellent as always. The spareribs, the meatiest I can ever recall having, were prepared St Louis style with the bbq sauces right there on the table for selecting. They would last me 3 meals! Husband had the combo plate...same thing. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. Delicious potato salad. Nice choice of draft beers.
The food is amazing! The meats are all extremely tasty and soft. Definitely a great place to get quality BBQ!
My wife and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary because we wanted something down to earth, nothing too fancy to go with our clothing for our next adventure which was Far Shot, Axe and Knives shooting and Archery. Smokestack Urban BBQ was so good from our awesome hostess, waitstaff, appetizer, drinks, and food. We tried 4 different sides between us and all were awesome (especially the Mac and Cheese), she loved the pulled pork and chicken wings and I loved my half chicken. Everything was great!
