Had not been back in area for a long time.
Victory Pig was my pick for dinner.
Told the waiter it was as good as I remember, and I can order it, and have it shipped. Yes there is a God.
Best damn pizza I have ever eaten
I was introduced to the Pig over 15 years ago. My wife's family lives in the area and we go to the Pig almost every visit. The pizza is awesome and unique. There's nothing like it in the Philadelphia area. The service is friendly and welcoming.
What the hell happened to this place. Oh yeah, the Covid outbreak. We have been to Victory Pig several times. It’s been an institution since 1942. Friends of ours turned us on to it years back. We had my brother in law in town (post Covid) and had been telling him about their fantastic pizza for years. He wanted to try it so we took the over hour long drive to Wyoming PA. We get there expecting to have a seat and a meal. To our surprise (we should’ve checked before we left) they were only serving take out orders in the parking lot. To be fair they have always done this but you used to be able to sit inside. You pull up, the waitress comes to your car, she takes your order and you pay and wait. She comes back out with your food and you’re on your way. Well we didn’t want to travel all that way and not have the pizza so we ordered a couple of pies and went to a near by park and ate. Man it was as good as I remember it. My brother in law loves it. The sauce is slightly sweet, the cooked onions with the sauce under the cheese is phenomenal. Super crispy dough bottom and soft (but not to soft) top. They also have pulled pork sandwiches, fries and other items but we don’t mess with that. We go straight for the pizza. They actually will deliver to anywhere in the world. At least I think they still do 🤔. I hope they open up there seating again. Honestly I haven’t checked lately, I will. The interior has let’s say a nostalgic vibe.
So good! Well worth the 1.5 hour drive. The pizza was great, it was nice and saucy. Our sever Tara made the wait enjoyable. Customers in the lot were friendly. Can't wait to go back.
The best pizza in the world and the wings are tender morsels of deliciousness they don't have on the selection but pagosh
Living out of State for years , came home for reunions & had to have Victory Pig . Was worth it ! Although dining area was closed , Tara , doing the car hopping taking orders & delivery , was the most motivated person . She really enjoys her job despite the work . A credit to her employer 100% . Good job Tara
I was stunned that they opted to have drive up food only, no inside dining. However, the pizza hasn't changed in 50 years. And that's a good thing!
It all starts here!
This is a very LLLLLLLLlong running business.
In Nam they'd say " I love the smell of napalm in the morning ..... it smells like ... Victory Pig".
Do it.
I will say, I wish the dining room would open, but we have been there 2 times in the last week and it was awesome! I keep forgetting the name of the waitress, but it was a Wednesday night and both sides of the parking lot was filled and she handled it!always pleasant and quick. She is awesome!
Pizza was exactly the same as I remember. They are now carry-out only, curb service only. Could not call ahead.
Good deep dish pizza. Been around for decades.Local legend. Only open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Cash Only! Limited beer selection. Ship all over the US.
Fantastic Old Forge style pizza. A must stop if you're in the area.
The best pizza worth the drive
