Great food, affordable prices and the service was fast and polite. Overall the best experience I have ever had at any oriental restaurant. The place was very clean and decorations were amazing. The even had the small tables help get the full experience if you wanted it.

Perfectly quiet place, the lighting was low and the outside light was blocked by shades which gave it a real private feel. My mom and I were in town for the weekend and we enjoyed the vibe. After a long day of sight seeing and driving settling in a quiet softly lit restaurant was just the ticket. I ordered the Lisa Lisa Roll and my mom ordered the Dragon Roll. The display of the food was great and they tasted amazing! Being from Seattle I have high expectations for Sushi and this little place surprised us both! We have family in town and will most likely be back when we visit again!

Lisa Lisa Roll or you're missing out!. As a whole I do enjoy sushi, but ozeki is phenomenal. The atmosphere is wonderful, the owner is quirky and funny, the sushi chef is quick to greet you with a smile when you walk in. I ordered a Lisa Lisa roll, a sushi bar special with shrimp, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado and tempura crumbs. It was so filling and so delicious. My boyfriend loves spicy food and he got the ninja roll, spicy tuna, albacore tuna, jalapeños and red hot sauce. He's in love also. We will definitely be back for date night!
Great quality nigiri; the raw albacore was the best, I thought. Very fresh fish, nice service. Enjoyed the volcano roll too.
Another Satisfied Customer. I live in Seattle, but travel to Yakima on occasion for person reasons. Having grown accustomed to Seattle-quality sushi, I firmly believed I would not be impressed by the sushi at Ozeki Restaurant. However, I was not disappointed! The fish was fresh, presented well, and above all else, it tasted great! My friend ordered the Bento Box and was equally satisfied. The service was friendly and helpful, and the environment as overall welcoming. The restaurant was a little full that night, so it wasn't as quiet as I'd have liked, but I guess that means it's a popular place! Two thumbs up from this Seattle-dweller!
Outstanding!. At first glance, entrees are presentable, colorful and much attention to design. The menu has a great variety and am always pleased with what ever I order. No comparison to regular teri-aki restaurant type sushi.

Favorite Spot!. We love Ozeki's! This place offers a really cool dining experience, boasting Japanese decor and an eccentric feel to it. There's a traditional style tatami room where you can reserve tables for parties and eat while sitting on floor cushions. The service is fast and so friendly! If you want extravagant, intricate sushi rolls, you MUST come to Ozeki's. The sushi chef is unbelievably talented. For other menu items, you can guarantee the best, freshest Teriyaki grilled chicken, beef, or pork in town - simply delicious! Another hit is the fried rice order! Can't beat this place! :)
Great Sushi...NOT just "for Yakima". Reading some of these reviews cracks me up. Comments abound about how its' good...or not..."for Yakima" Not sure if that says more about (us)Yakima residents and our palate(s) or the restaurant. I can tell you that many comments about awkward service etc... can be said about some of the greatest sushi spots Ive been at around the globe. It is my experience that the BEST sushi spots do NOT have their best items on the menu. The chef knows whats best that day and its usually the patrons job to reach out and ask them. Jimmy is GREAT! The sushi is fantastic and such...as Ozeki's is no different than many other GREAT sushi spots.. Skip this one at your peril! They also have a very diverse cooked menu for those not yet into the sushi/sashimi.
Absolutely delicious! We had California rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, ahi tower, dragon rolls, and beef teriyaki. All were delicious and fresh. The presentation was pretty. The beef yakisoba had a pronounced ginger flavor to them. I will definitely come back!

I have been to sushi restaurants in Oregon and Seattle. Ozeki is by far the BEST! Their sushi is delicious and they are very sanitary with how they make it, the owners and servers there are absolutely adorable and sweet!
I would definitely recommend going there out of all restaurants in Yakima. The atmosphere is so comfortable and every entree there is sooo good.
Best sushi in Yakima. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. A friend and I were passing through Yakima all the while trying to avoid fast food joints and then we came across Ozeki Restaurant on Summitview much to our relief. The service is fantastic and the food is fresh and great! My favorite roll there was the summer roll and I already can't wait to go there again in the future. Highly recommended if you're in Yakima.
New Favorite!. I have been to Ozekis 3 times now. The food is always extremely delicious, and the service is friendly and enthusiastic.
Their California rolls are the best I've had, and although I dont eat the raw fish myself, i have heard great things about it from other people.
I highly reccommend going, just make sure you actually have time to enjoy your meal. It isnt a place to go when you are in a big hurry.
LOVE IT!. Considering Yakima isn't very close to the coast, the fish is very fresh. I have always had outstanding service and enjoyed every bit of food I've gotten. I eat there at least once a week and sometimes up to three times.
This is the best teriyaki in town, hands down. Sushi is great too!
Good Stuff. The staff is friendly and Jimmy (the sushi chef) is really great. Although I am still waiting to have a roll named after me, or star in their next commercial, I will, none-the-less give Ozeki's a thumbs up. The sushi is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. Ozeki's has a traditional Japanese decor and the thematic background music strikes just the right tone. This place is good for sushi enthusiasts and novice diners alike

Was a very good restaurant. Didn’t feel like you were in Yakima after you sit down. Prices are very moderate. Will definitely be going again!

Dropped a star only based on my latest experience. Was my favorite place to rant and rave about in Yakima. New ownership and new sushi chef. I will give it another try but my family was turned off. I ordered a large tuna Tower and it was pretty average size not like it was before. It was also extremely spicy. It was more spice than flavor 🫤. Again, I will give it another chance. I hope it will be what I always have enjoyed...
We love this place!! The food is excellent, the restaurant looks so nice inside and is very clean. The service is always impeccable!! We met as a large group there last night, really enjoyed ourselves and left so pleased with the entire experience. Yakima is fortunate to have such a great place!
