We used to eat here regularly many years ago but have moved away. When we last visited 7 years ago we thought the pizza taste/quality had declined, but on this recent visit, the pizza was much better. Service isn’t amazing but is fine. Ordered salad, 2 cheese and 1 pepperoni pizza, and tiramisu.

This is a vintage pizzeria if I could use that term for it! The first time I try it was in the original one in New Heaven and it was good! However I was pregnant. 18 years latter I am at the Yonkers location and I did enjoyed it again! The pizza dough is nice and crispy, the ingredients you can taste them individually even though they are together and the sauce or mozzarella cheese doesn’t over power over the taste. Definitely a place to go when you are near any of their locations. The sizes are generous and quite big. I was there with my nephew and hubby we ordered a large pizza and a medium. What was left was almost the size of a small pizza and my husband alone can eat a large pizza ( Canadian size) by himself. The Italian sausage was really good it has that particular flavour that nowadays you won’t find it.

Still worth the drive to New Haven. This is good but the original New Haven location has a better overall taste and other subtle differences. IMO, others may feel differently. Large white clam, onions, bacon, broccoli. $50 plus tax.

While in Yonkers, my family asked to meet here. I have never been to Frank Pepe so I quickly agreed. This one is located on Central Avenue near Snake Hill. I haven’t been to Yonkers in so long I don’t remember the actual street name. There’s a parking lot and meter parking in front. Handicap spots in front of the restaurant. Very clean with a friendly staff. There is only pizza, salad and dessert. No coffee or appetizers which I was a little surprised by. The pizza was really good, especially after letting it settle for a few minutes. We got three kinds: margherita, shrimp, and sausage and pepperoni. The margherita was probably my favorite. Very light and lots of basil. All were really good. Thin and crispy because of the coal fire. The shrimp is supposed to be on a white pizza, but they accommodate for a red sauce. Not my choice, but I was outvoted at the table. I would definitely return based on my first experience.

The pizza here is sooo good! Very cozy restaurant with delicious pizza. We tried a classic margherita and a meatball ricotta. They were both amazing and honestly just as good cold the next morning. I will definitely stop by next time I'm in the area. 09/02/2023 updated review: we ordered the same pizzas, but one came out with very burnt crust and they didn't even apologize or offer to make a new one which was disappointing. Still tasted good, we just avoided that area.

I've been to Pepes multiple times and pizza is always good. I'm a purist and do not like toppings, however, I was convinced to try the roasted chicken... outstanding. Someone in our party had an egg allergy.. they really upped the bar on how they separated everything from the pizza to the spatula to ensure they were not exposed to anything else. They're getting only 4 stars because it was not very crowded, but while service at the table was excellent, it took awhile to get our orders.

A friend recommended this place and I wasn't disappointed. I came as a group of three and we each got a small size pizza, which is honestly big enough for maybe 2 people. The special was really good and so was the margarita. I recommend anything sauce focus since is really good and the hidden gem!

Really good. Delicious pizza. I went with the classic cheese. Generously sized Pepe’s salad, like two salads, you can split it with someone. Same with the small pizza. Peroni from the draft quenched my thirst. And in my case I only ate half the pie so leftovers!

Casual, family friendly pizza parlor. Love having the pizza tableside, salad was great, service was good, and was surprised at how good of a deal everything was for two pies, salad, adult beverages, and soda.

Went to Frank Pepe's today & I must say the silverware was so clean. I was stunned & I go to expensive restaurants that don't measure up to them. The plates were warm and the service was incredible. It was a delight. I wish they could give lessons to high end restaurants they can learn from them. I'd like to praise management & the owners for staff training. The cleanliness which is essential, the great service & food, of course which makes a great restaurant. Thank you.

As good as it should be with most of the New Haven vibe. Toss in a dose of NYC vibes and you've got a unique experience. I highly recommend this Frank Pepe Pizzeria location! Parking is an issue. Be prepared to street park at meters. The meter app is the same as New Haven uses, ParkMobile. I found that super convenient. The staff is at once knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The geographic location is quite a bit out of the way of travelers highways and parkways so leave enough time.

Take out order was delicious. Even with reheating the pies they were still extremely tasty. The toppings were plentiful. The sauce was well balanced; not too much acid.

Great new haven style pizza. Ordered pickup on a rainy afternoon and received my pizza 10 mins early. Clam pizza was a bit uneven on the bottom, with some charred spots and some under done areas. The taste was great and reminded us of a good seafood pasta. 4/5 for us. The sausage special pizza was cooked more evenly and was our favorite. Nothing bad to say about this one, 4.5/5 and probably our new go to.

You have to give it a try. It's rated a top pizzeria in the USA. Make the trip. Be ready to spend about $30 including tax for a large pizza pie with toppings to share. Its a unique experience with a wonderful old world feel that I have not experienced in a long time. Will go back because I'm starting to need a slice of Frank Pepe's pizza. Go and make a date night out of it. Its different enough for it.

The place is very family friendly. You can observe the whole prepping and cooking process. I tried a veggie pizza for the first time. I actually ate the leftover 2 days later. It was surprisingly as good as the day I bought it. I'm new to Yonkers. But this spot is dishing one of the best pizza out there.
