Second time coming here with my beloved wife. The food menu would change from time to time. Portions may appear small but I am telling you it will fill you up. Food are savory and for the price with a Michelin badge to back it up its very reasonable . Don’t forget to try the bakery as well. Go order online while your waiting for your food . Once your done in the resto walk next door and grab your pastry to go. You don’t have to fall in line . Menu with photos online guys efficiency in managing our precious time.
AMAZING food! Their complimentary bread and butter is the best around, and it’s served on the table like an authentic french restaurant. Everything served was a cacophony of flavors, from the green beans, to the gnocchi. Their mashed potatoes in particular are the definition of melt in your mouth, a must order! The service was very amiable and the restaurant ambiance was very cute and cozy. Great area around it with plenty of marketplaces and bakeries! Also close walking distance from Hotel Yountville.
Love the vibes here! We ordered Oyster & Snail for starter, the oyster is a lil pricey ($35/half dozen) since the size is too small for the price. Had Steak & fries, and fish for the main meal, love both of them! Also, the bread with butter is so good!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bouchon by chef Thomas Keller, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding, with each dish expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. The chef's culinary skills were truly remarkable, leaving me in awe of their talent. Moreover, the customer service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests. Lastly, the ambiance of the restaurant was enchanting, with a beautifully curated design that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the elegant decor to the soft lighting, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Overall, Buchon Bistro is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.
We had high expectations when we made reservations at Bouchon. We arrived and the atmosphere was lively. We were placed at a 2 top and the tables had to be moved around for me to fit into the booth side and for the people sitting on either side of us to come and go as well. We were packed in like sardines. As a pescatarian there were only two items that I could choose from, the rainbow trout or the gnocchi. The trout was tasty and perfectly cooked. The crunchy little croutons and cauliflower bits were a perfect addition. My only issue is that it could have used a bit of acidity like lemon. My husband had the salmon and enjoyed it. We ordered the apple tart dessert from the special board. This was extremely disappointing. It was a tiny piece of thin puff pastry with a thin layer of apple and a bit of whipped cream. It was like 4 bites worth of dessert and quite bland. The whipped cream was the best part. Even for this place the price tag of $15 for this was ridiculous. People on either side of us got different desserts and both looked much better and a size that was shareable.
Birstot français with almost only french specialties (and very good ones!!), lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, quite busy for lunch but the organisation is good so you won't wait too much.
Pricey but worth it 100% if you like french food!
Highly recommended.
Really good French food, that steak and fries is to die for. They have a good selection of wines. The patio has a very beautiful French style. A place to return to.
Celebrated an amazing birthday with dinner at Bouchon. Great service and lively atmosphere. It can get loud because it’s a small place and everyone is drinking haha. I opted for the special… dumpling pasta. If I knew the price I would have opted for the sole. The fries are great. Everyone around us ordered them too. The French onion soup is very tasty too. Next time all try the mussels.
The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. It's a very nice spot, just make sure to make a reservation since it can be difficult to get a table
Always a solid choice in the Yountville area. French onion soup and baked escargot are 🔥.
Trouble getting a table here for dinner? Come during lunch. The atmosphere, food, and service is still excellent you can even pop into the bakery next door for a to-go treat.
On the wish-list for five years, today I visit. Very impressed pastry, croissants tres bien
We've been patrons of Bouchon Bistro for over a decade now. Oddly, their food has never quite won me over, even though I'm a huge admirer of Thomas Keller. I've dined at Ad Hoc and French Laundry, and I've collected numerous cookbooks from him. Despite this, I've always struggled to be impressed by the dishes at Bouchon. There's consistently something amiss – whether it's the texture, flavor seasoning, or the interplay of ingredients.
Unlike many restaurants in Yountville and the vicinity, Bouchon's offerings haven't stood out as remarkably as they should. Though I've been to visit the restaurant countless times, it's taken me a while to share this review. Recently, I gave it another chance, and while my friends adore dining there, and I go for the company, it never quite makes it to the top of my list when selecting a restaurant. I do commend the consistently impeccable service, and of course, the town itself is stunning.
Lovely cafe. The interior brings you back to France. The service was good and food was not bad.
Exceptional food and service, exactly what you'd expect from a TK restaurant. Seating is a bit tight given the size of restaurant. Also atmosphere is definitely closer to casual, at least during lunchtime. Highly recommend.
