Omg, thank you thank you thank you chef Anita and her wonderful staff for taking such great care of all 28 30 of us, for serving us the best food and with such great smiles. And even some great Midnight Oil, Beds are Burning music so we could dance after completing our meals !!! I must say it again, food was great and Anita and her staff were excellent, was a great dining experience and will definitely be back.
The quality of the food was phenomenal! The atmosphere was super casual and the service top rate. We'll definitely be back.
Delicious, flavorful food accompanied by warm, friendly service. The place itself is small and bright, and offers a nice respite from all the fancier (and more costly) restaurants in Yountville. The shaded rooftop dining area is a great place to enjoy your meal. Can't say enough good things.

Fabulous food! Menu changes daily and I find myself getting excited wondering, what's on the menu today? I am always amazed how fresh and purposeful each dish is. The rooftop seating has breathtaking views. It is truly an experience!
Holy frijole Batman! The food is delicioso aqui. Had the Ropa Vieja rice bowl, the Bison chili and the Beef/Mozzarella empanadas yesterday. So delicious all of it. Last time had the teriyaki wings, potato croquette filled w beef picadillo, the jalapeño/cream cheese popper empanadas. Just as good also. I can't wait to keep trying Anita's cooking. Too bad it's closed today or I'd be there again for lunch.
Protea is simply wonderful. Fantastic food, great people working there and amazingly well priced for Yountville. The dynamic flavors and colors of the food perfectly blend with the rich textures and balanced spice. I've probably eaten here over 50 times in the last 3 months and love it. Highly recommended!

The pasta dish with the lamb, bed, and chorizo meat sauce was incredible. Great view upstairs.

Great food and spectacular view from the roof top.
Between 3 of us we had half of the menu that day (menu varies daily) and all of it was really great. If you haven't tried it, definitely go! It's a must see for Napa Valley!

Amazing dinner with 27 friends at Protea' last night. Food was delicious & Chef Anita was fantastic! We'll be back!��
We went here impromptu from the Silver Trident Winery and they sat our large group right away and served us their delicious food. Craving for their Scrumptious Red Bass Fried Fish, we enjoyed their upscale servings while Casual Dining. We will dine here again next visit!

Beautiful place to enjoy the lunch Especially at the 2nd level courtyard area. Overlooking the beautiful vineyard. Under a shaded courtyard to enjoy a simple lunch while sipping the wine. Ordered pasta with shrimp. Taste was good but pasta is rather too thick to my liking. Garlic fries, grilled chipotle and green salad were really good!!The waitress is friendly and attentive .. enjoyable lunch.

I've driven by this place and number of times thinking it was merely a tea shop. I was so wrong it is so much more which is better for all of us.
the shop is very clean very bright will lit but also very warm. is a great friendly staff and usually one of the owners are on site. have a small the solid menu I had three carnitas tacos which were just awesome I went through them so quickly I didn't realize they had a third Taco in my hand and half-eaten and when I look down into my plate I have to say I felt a little sad. this is a great place to have a glass of wine or a beer or soda and something to eat that would say it's maybe kind of like but a very solid and very good what are the unknown features of this establishment is the rooftop seating. I mean sitting inside and enjoying a great meal and something to drink here is very pleasant when you go upstairs and the Cool Breeze is blowing blowing in the music is piping inside flea you're able to look across to the Hills it makes it all the more special. if you're in Yountville either by yourself or with a few friends I highly suggest this place you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is an incredible place to visit while in Napa. The prices were affordable and the food was outstanding. If you can, order the fried whole fish. It was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had, albeit somewhat intimidating. However once you bite into it, you'll know exactly what I mean. The dish is large enough to share.
We had a most relaxing lunch in the lovely back courtyard in the shade of an umbrella. They also have a very lovely roof deck with many high top dining tables. Service is fast, friendly, and accommodating. Food is tasty and fresh. We enjoyed the goat barbacoa tacos, jibarito carnitas, salad, and Parmesan french fries.

I love trying everything from their menu at least once since their menu does change daily it's amazing to try something new! Chef never disappoints us! Our coworkers go their often also! Really enjoyable and delicious light meal during our stop in Yountville while bicycling from Napa. It was he perfect balance of price and portion with a good amount of protein and carbs (from the plantain) all in a relaxing atmosphere. Outdoor seating on the street and on the rooftop!
We loved Protéa. The food was so delicious! I had the Torta Ahogada although will note the menu changes daily. My husband really enjoyed his fish tacos It was so good and the patio offers a great place to eat and people watch.
The food was excellent , atmosphere great . As you eat you can tell the food is freshly made , Definitely a Heavenly taste , Must place to stop and eat ( Did each much more just forgot to take the picture LOL )

Food was good. South American Fussion food. The upstairs terrace had a nice view of the mountains. The Arbor was covered with grape Vines. Nice!!!
