Yummy!! Super good sirloin burgers and string type fries! Had a great bowl of chili too and a mint Oreo shake!! The place is super clean and bright. Friendly staff and fast service! Def worth stopping in!!
Great burgers and fantastic shakes! The store itself is very clean and the staff are friendly. I love the self-order kiosks and the menu system. It's very easy to use and well designed, even when customizing the food to your taste. If only every fast food restaurant could have such an intuitive ordering menu (**cough McDonalds **cough). Again, great food and staff!
First time eating here and it was a nice experience. Greeted with a welcome. Asked advice on certain menu items. Great recommendations. Food was delicious! Burger was nice and juicy. Fries were fresh and tastey. The chilli was yummy!Their cotton candy shake was delicious, and the prices were decent. Definitely would return.
Food was fresh and flavorful. Definitely made to order. The cashier was super friendly and accommodating to those that didn't want to use the kiosk to order on their own. The dining area was clean! Great burger and yummy cookie dough shake.
Positives- Clean restaurant. Easy self order with help from an employee if needed. Food came quickly as well as drinks.
Double Burger- delicious but needed more cheese
Garlic Burger- super delicious, just have a napkin close by- its messy.
Burger- daughter said amazing & gave it a thumbs
Oreo Shake- best ever according to two kids
Snicker Shake- tasty but difficult to drink through the straw.
Shoestring Fries- mediocre- kids did not enjoy them but the adult thought they were ok.
Good price for four full meals plus milkshakes.
Reasonable fast food restaurant on my way back from Joshua Tree NP to LA. Food was fresh and filling. For a short time I was the only guest but others arrived within minutes. Place was therefore calm, furniture in good condition, bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful (it was my first visit in a Steak-n-Shake restsurant). I liked the music that was played.
Nice burgers, chicken fingers, chili, fries, chili Mac, and shakes. Not exactly gourmet, but a clear step above the bargain fast food places.... with an associated moderate increase in pricing. Very good eats and service, a nice change from the mega chain restaurants. Highly recommended.

With so few restaurants to choose from after 9 p.m., Steak and Shake was quite popular. Despite the crowd and limited employees, the food was hot and freshly prepared.
I ordered a steak hot dog with chili and cheese, fries and strawberry shake. And chicken tenders with fries. All the food was eaten but it was staple good. I was expecting a bigger and longer hot dog. Probably out of greed because I didn't even finish it. Three chicken tenders was in the adult order. The strawberry shake and the Nutella shake were worth recommending.
The extra star is for customer service, restaurant cleanliness and service with a smile.
The one thing I HAVE to say. The staff here are SOO NICE! Helpful and polite! It was quite refreshing! I appreciated how kind they were. We came by to pick up dinner to go while visiting Joshua Tree. Ample parking and a menu full of burgers and shakes. We ordered two kids meals with chicken fingers which the kids loved. Their fries are so good too! I love the skinny fries! They had kids sized shakes which I appreciated because kids don’t need that much sugar! I ordered my burger lettuce wrapped without an issue. The smashed style patty was a little greasy but had crispy edges and so delicious!
I had the opportunity to dine at this Steak and Shake location, and it's evident they've embraced modernization. The introduction of contactless ordering was a positive experience for our group. However, it seemed to present challenges for some older patrons who appeared unfamiliar with the technology, requiring the assistance of the accommodating staff to place their orders.
The food was delivered promptly and tasted delicious. Additionally, the interior was impeccably clean, enhancing our overall dining experience.
I always heard of this place, but have never actually had the chance to try it. I went in with an open mind, and was pleasantly surprised. The burger was perfect, it had good flavor, you could tell the meat was fresh and was just the right size that I was full but not overly stuffed. That says alot since I am a big guy with a big appetite. The shoe string fries were crunchy and fresh and the shake I had was very tasty, I got the cookie dough shake. If you wanna try something different and fresh, give it a shot.

We all got kids meals. Weren’t terribly hungry after some hikes in JT so we figured what the hell.
The burgers are pretty good. Real beef. Fries as well. And the shakes are really good. Crazy thick—you can’t suck right thru the straw, which is great.
Happy with this place and recommend if you want a fast and tasty burger meal.
Absolutely loved this place. The food was great. Quality was there. A great burger better then what you would expect from a chain restaurant. Onion rings were nice and crispy. Enjoyed it all .
It was a great time here, food has a amazing flavor, they have a wide variety of specialty shakes. By far one of the best burger places I’ve been to.

A great family,young people,senior citizen place to eat! They have sparkling clean tables and chairs, booths with lots of big clean windows,friendly and courteous staff.
The drive through is prompt and they also have plenty of free parking to dine in!
