Watch out Kasa and La Casita! Stopped by for carry out for dinner. Picked up a bean and cheese burrito and a carne asada chica quesadilla with rice and beans (can get fries). Fantastic! Real steak and rice and beans included. Kasa a buck less for same plate but no rice and beans. But flavor wise El Guero rocks (beats Kasa and La Casita)! The tortilla was awesome on the burrito and the beans are fantastic. Workers are friendly and fast. Only been there once (so far) but we are liking what we see and taste. Updated 3/6/18: Still my "Go to" place for Mexican food! Everything is great and when they give you a pick up time for takeout it is always ready.

Really delicious. They make their own chorizo, which was amazing. We had the special .99 street tacos. They did not dissapoint. We tried three of their dalsa, also delicious. The service was great also.

Pretty solid Mexican food joint with some breakfast options. I had an omelette, which was good, along with their seasoned potatoes. One stand out thing is their generosity with avocadoes. I imagine that they are easier to get in this part of the country, so many of the dishes had them.

Hands down, this is probably the best Mexican Eatery I've ever been to!! Family owned and the food is so fresh and soooo good! The atmosphere is cute and it's not noisy. Portions were big and you get free chips & salsa. Everything was literally to die for and this will be our new favorite spot in Joshua Tree!!!

So good! The best beans and rice in Yucca Valley by far. We got a great family deal for two pounds of meat and all the taco fixings. Their burger recipe is to die for. The ladies who served us were so sweet, I can't wait to go back. The choripollo is also fantastic 👏

My go to spot in Yucca Valley, CA for authentic Mexican food, El Güero Mexican Restaurant. My first encounter with this spot was fish ceviche and I was hooked. It tasted just the way my mom makes it. The menudo was my next dish to try and it comes really close to my mom's menudo. Been coming here for the last 2.5 yrs and I've recommended this place to many coworkers who now come and eat often. Great food, great friendly service and the food is delicious. If you're ever driving thru Yucca Valley stop by and grab some food, you won't be disappointed. Please say hi to my favorite server Cinthia if you stop by, she is so friendly and amazing!

Went with 3 other people. They serve beer and wine. I was torn between getting a molcajete or the menudo. I ended up getting the menudo. They gave a lot of onions, cilantro, and spices. The pata was an extra charge, but everything tasted great. The tripe was soft and tender. Not chewy. The hominy was also not overcooked. Very soft and crumbly. Not hard and chewy like some others I've had.

TLDR; Go here for the amazing, delicious and fresh Mexican food, but not for ambience or environment. We reached about 15 mins before closing on a Sunday evening. They were gracious enough to get us seated and serve us nicely and politely, answered all our questions. Now comes the good part. The complimentary salsa and chips were amazing, especially the salsa - perfect spice for us and my wife couldn't stop tasting the salsa even after we were done. I ordered a Molcajete Chicken (attached picture) that comes with Tortilla, Rice and Beans and my wife ordered Vegetarian Enchiladas. The Molcajete gravy was absolutely delicious, so were the roasted cheese slices. The roasted Cactus in the Molcajete gravy was great as well, but it seemed to have absorbed the tartness of the gravy a bit more that I'd like. CHICKEN had to be the best obviously.OVERALL THE Molcajete CHICKEN was BOMB. The meager Vegetarian Enchiladas were some of the best we had tasted, freshest for sure. The only downside, it wasn't $, but more like $$, especially for most non vegetarian stuff, though they did come with rice and beans and tortilla sometimes. But I wouldn't mind paying again.

delicious birria con queso tacos. consome was ok, very heavy on the tomato and light on the beef, maybe that is just how they do it on the west coast. house margarita is very sweet. cant go wrong with dos equis

You can't rush food this good, so there's going to be a bit of a wait. Authenticate Mexican taqueria favors in Yucca Valley, can't beat it. Get the wet burrito, the chili verde is bomb. They have Mexican coke <3

Fantastico! I told Madai, the waitress, that I was vegan and can't eat wheat. They made 2 amazing soft corn tacos topped with mushrooms, avocados, just wonderful. Very good salsa also. Couldn't have been better. Gracias!!

This was a great mexican place for authentic Mexican food. We went for the taco Tuesday special. The waitresses were friendly, helpful and quick the only problem with this restaurant is that they don't have a heater and we froze. Instead of having the heater on they had the refrigeration on. I didn't like it for that reason. I would not go at night again.

It is such a great little restaurant in the east end of staters brother shopping center. Excellent food and great service. Decent prices and now serving beer. Large TV to watch the games. Plenty of handicap parking.
