Another location of the local famed seafood house that draws crowds daily. Only visited once before but enjoyed the space and eats. Pick your spots as they have waits often here.
I love this place!!! Everything I've tried is great! My favorites would be the acadian catfish, seafood au gratin and seafood fettucine. You also have to try the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding. Yumm!!
Great for lunch. This was the third time I've brought a customer here for lunch. Very consistent with a huge lunch selection. Wait staff is always pleasant, food is consistent. As busy as they always are and as large of a lunch selection, very impressive that they maintain a high level of consistency. No problem recommending this one!
Great food. Everything's good, but if you try the grilled chicken club, you may be sorry. I did, and now every time I go back that's the only thing I want to order. I mean, I love the catfish acadiana and just about any of their daily specials, or even their salads, but they must put heroine in the grilled chicken club.

I will choke out an old lady for their grilled shrimp poboy. Honestly, words arent needed. Just go try one, then come back & tell me how delicious it was. They have great Catfish Acadiana too

Fantastic. An all time Baton Rouge favorite, the Prime Rib poboy beats the Pastime's roast beef any day of the week and twice on sunday (because pastime is closed and sammys isnt).
Go early to get a table. One bad thing about this place is that it's always busy. Other than that it's awesome. I've enjoyed everything I have ordered here. My fave would be the prime rib poboy and the chicken fried steak. Always check the specials too!

"The Place where Dreams Happen". I particulary enjoyed my first outting to Sammy's but not just because of the delicious food but b/c it marked the beginning of a new life for me. I met my wife at Sammy's on our first date. As we dine on our delicious courses, we fell in love at the same time. The place where good food happens=yes. The place where true love began for me=Mos Def Yes!!!
Excellent service & food, we both had the catfish Acadia...SO good! Our food arrived quickly, drinks were never empty, and we had a great time. The atmosphere is busy and I'm not a fan of tv's in the dining area. But to say we had drinks, appetizers, salads and our entries within an hour on Valentines Day, (and all were perfectly prepared)....and all for under $50!!!! I am quite impressed and can deal with the tv's....;)
One of my favorite restaurants. American cuisine with a quality we expect in Louisiana. You'll never leave hungry. Great place to take out of town guests.

I miss the prior building and atmosphere, now it feels more like a chain than a local favorite. But the food hasn't suffered there's certainly enough seating now!
Ugly girls don't work here. Food's not bad either. While I do prefer George's or the Chimes, Sammy's has good service and reasonable prices.

Food was delicious. No wait time. Easy to find location. Our server Amanda was awesome. Very friendly. Laid back atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Delicious crawfish during the evening hours. Will be returning soon. If you are looking for home cooked country style food then this is the place
I love Sammy's. They are always friendly and have good service. The chicken parmesan is so good! And they give you a hefty portion. I would also recommend the Atchaflalya Fish.

I liked the food. When I walked in. I was greeted with joyful waiters from Sammy's. It didn't take long to be served, around 5 minutes. My family and I were then seated, and we got a waitress. She was very sweet. The only bad thing is that the food took a long while. I'd say it was worth the wait because I probably was super hungry at that point.
