I won’t say the food here is authentic, but pretty good overall, probably the best around the area

A little biased because we are from Asia too. This place is definitely 5 stars in food service and exceptional friendly owner. The menu looks delicious and the food comes out looks as much the same. Great place to have great food.

Had a wonderful Sunday dinner after church at the Asian Pearl! The hot and sour soup is the best I’ve ever tasted. Both my husband and I had delicious entrees that were beautifully presented. And our server, Echo, was personable and fun as well as great at taking care of us. Thanks Asian Pearl, for a great dining experience!

Lo mein is over cooked and soggy. Fried rice is bland and the general tso chicken is 95% breading 5% meat. It also lacks any heat whatsoever.

We went here to eat often when we lived in Zachary. Now when we return to visit family we try to eat here. It is still as good as I recall the first time we went so many years ago. The flaming pu pu plater is our all time favorite starter. I had the orange chicken special last time, but also like the garlic shrimp. Atmosphere and service are top notch.

Food is very good. Quick with service. Hard to understand lady on the phone.

Always fresh fast and I've eaten from here 12 years always consist great prices and now that I have moved to the other side of Baton Rouge I continue to drive 30 miles just to enjoy their food and family atmosphere, from birth to almost teenagers, their kids are always well behaved and cheerful. This is truly a great place to eat and enjoy your dinning experience.

I haven't been there in years. The food could not have been any better. I had the chicken with broccoli.

Best Chinese I’ve ever had. I like that I can trust the chicken :) The hot and sour soup is my favorite. It has a nice consistency not crazy thick like most Chinese places.

We used to live in Zachary in walking distance of Asian Pearl and loved to eat here. Now we drive from Denham Springs to Zachary just to eat here. The service is great and the owner is very friendly and visits with you. He somehow waits on everyone in the place quickly and gets everything right. They are not usually busy but sometimes they are and everyone is happy. Things go very smoothly. Besides that, the food is excellent. Everything on the menu. Try this place and you won't be disappointed!

I have eaten here twice, good food. I am not as overwhelmed as some of the reviewers, but average or slightly above. Egg drop soup is very good!

Great food! I live in Central but always make the drive to Zachary when I want Chinese food! I've never dined in, but the food is delicious even to go! It always comes out right when I show up and is hot when I get home. Rolls taste fresh and staff is polite even to take out customers. Rolls are fresh, sesame chicken is great, and the orange chicken is yummy! I'm gonna have to dine in soon!

General Taos chicken gross, don't eat here. Not clean TV on plus Chinese music... I hope that was chicken I just ate...the egg roll was not eatable - very disappointed

I have been going for years, as my parents live in Zachary. The wait staff is always extremely friendly, I'm greeted on a first name basis every time I go. Which is funny because I only go once every 3 months or so. The food is great, and reasonably priced, especially for lunch.

Wow! My lunch at Asian Pearl was delicious! We enjoyed General Tso's Chicken, Happy Family and the Spicy Trio dishes. I can venture to say that the General Tso could possibly be the BEST i have ever eaten - double battered and deep fried chicken, with a sweet, tangy and slightly spicy sauce. We also ordered the subgum fried rice which included chicken, shrimp and need. Overall, great Chinese cuisine with amazing service! We will definitely return.

Awesome!. First time getting the mapo tofu and fried dumplings! both were absolutely amazing and the man in there was so nice! now my favorite Chinese restaurant

This little place is a find. Just fantastic.  I cant express how much I love this little place, yes the owner is a little eccentric, and for those who find it dirty in my mind it just “lived in.” I come to Zachary once a year for training but always look forward to getting a meal here during my stay.

Delicious Lunch!. I've seen this restaurant for years as I passed through Zachary. I finally searched it on Urbanspoon, saw great reviews, and decided to try it. I was so pleased with the friendly, helpful staff and was impressed at their ability to remember their patrons and what dishes they enjoy. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and plated attractively. We had eggrolls and spring rolls. Both were fried to crispy perfection. The eggrolls were delicious. The spring rolls were also delicious and had a nice subtle ginger flavor. The sweet dipping sauce had a chunky texture, was mild, and a great accompaniment to both rolls. We had Roast Pork Fried Rice that can't be compared to any I've ever had before.....full of pork, veggies, fluffy rice....superb. The Sesame Chicken was chunks of chicken cooked expertly and served in a thick, sweet sauce.....I could have licked the plate! The Sweet and Sour Pork was also delicious. The pieces of pork were fried in tempura and dressed with pineapple, green pepper and large slices of white onion. The sauce was served on the side. The whole experience was very pleasant and has me already planning my next visit!!

This is one of the best in this part of the country, second only to perhaps Trey Yen's in Mandeville.

Best Chinese Food ever. Asian pearl has some of the best Chinese food ever. Trust me I know, I've been to China, twice. The food at Asian pearl is great, the only thing that rivals the food, is the service. The little Asian couple that run the place are two very awesome people. go there once and see.

The Best of the Best OF the Best!. If you need to go to one of the food troughs for an all-you-can-eat buffet, do what you must. If, however, you want every bite to be perfect, go to Asian Pearl! These two young people always have a clean, super-friendly dining room, the food is always hot and, above all, the flavor is the best in all the area! They remember what you ordered the last time you (or your group!) dined with them, even a couple of years back, as was witnessed by two of our friends from England who re-visited on vacation. They actually remembered the entree, the "please not too spicy" request, and the flavor of tea those Brits had ordered! Go to the food trough to be whelmed. Go to Asian Pearl to be Overwhelmed!

The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and excellent. They treat you like a personal friend. Why would anyone go anywhere else for Asian cuisine? <br/><br/>I've made it a point to try a different entree each visit. It is so easy to get stuck I. One dish because they're all so good; but, try something new. Lunch is a great time to do it because the prices are so reasonable: $5.25-6.50 for which you get a soup, a generous entree, choice of rice and two sides. I'm a big eater and I'm always full when I'm done.<br/><br/>Their Hot and Sour soup is the best I've had!

Service great...food not so great. Went with my wife for lunch. Everything in the reviews is true except... the quality of the food can best be described as hospital cafeteria meets naval base chow line. The food is bland and uninspired. I think this food appeals to people who don't really like Chinese food. I wanted to say something because I feel the high rating and glowing reviews are misleading.

Clean and great food. We went to have lunch with my friends and I personally like sesame chicken and I m so happy because it was the best sesame chicken I have ever had in my life, the interior is very clean and the servers are very professional no wonder Asian pearl the best Chinese restaurant great food and very clean restaurant.<br/>Highly recommend

" I just experienced not one but two acts of kindness at Asian Pearl". I rushed out of my home to pick up a late dinner from Asian Pearl. After placing my order, I realized my wallet was not in my purse. I informed the cashier that I must have left my wallet at home. She asked if I had any change in my car, but I was only able to gather a few dollars in change. She was nice enough to tell me I could bring the rest of the money to the restaurant the next time I passed in the area. I then asked if I could call her with my card number once I returned home and she kindly agreed to do so. I then rushed home and phoned her back to give her my card information. To my surprise I was told that a really nice gentleman that was in the restaurant as I was getting ready to leave paid my bill balance. You talk about random acts of kindness, this type of thing doesn't happen often at all. Oh and to top all of this off the food was simply delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Asian Pearl and Mr. Nice Guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually don't write reviews but I cannot resist. I have eaten at the Asian pearl dine in a few times. The last two times however, I ordered take out. I picked up my food and was pleasantly surprised it was hot and fresh. This last time I went to order and they were about 10 mins to closing. I thought I would get left overs and warm food. I was pleased that it was fresh and ready for me when I pulled up. I have received not only excellent food but awesome service.

Great choice. Food is fantastic ! The services is great , once while I visit my family in Zachary , this is only Chinese restaurant I go to!!

All other Chinese restaurants need to pack their bags!. This is the only place I eat Chinese food! Service is amazing, food is fantastic. Great atmosphere! We had been regulars for several years until my middle daughter was diagnosed with Celiac disease. Not sure if they have anything that is gluten free. Now I go when she is off with her grandparents. Definitely my favorite place to go in Zachary!!!

Judy. We ate at the Asian Pearl after reading reviews on urbanspoon. We just had the appetizer platter and the hot and sour soup. It was the best hot and sour soup we have ever had. The appetizer platter was also great.

The only place to get Chinese. I won't even entertain going anywhere else for Chinese. The hot and sour soup is the best I've had, and the service is always attentive without being annoying. If you are looking for something really hot and tasty, try the spicy trio and order an extra glass of tea. The orange beef is to die for. Super cheap take out also.

Food and service are fabulous

Best of the best in chinese food and service. Asian Pearl is the best Chinese restaurant in East Baton Rouge Parish and East & West Feliciana parishes. The service is excellant and also the food. The hot and sour soup is my favorite. Two thumbs up for this restaurant.

Just moved to the area, and I'm very picky about Chinese! Asian Pearl is very good, and the people there are amazing. I took my family there who were visiting from OK and my 2 year old niece is diabetic, the waiter saw us looking at a book of hers and he came by and showed us the best options for diabetics and even made her her own sized portion! Very friendly staff and good food!

Great place!! Love the food. Must try the crab Rangoon appetizer, egg drop soup, and sesame chicken.

For a small town chinese restaurant this is a good choice. Great service and great food. They know my daughter by first and last name and she enjoys going for the service. She is three. They take the time to make sure each person including children are having a good time.
