Was in Zachary today and this came up when googled ‘restaurants by me’. Soooo glad we picked this place. First, the decor is fabulous, very charming. Loved it. Our server was sweet, friendly and very attentive. Drinks stayed full, table stayed tidy, food served promptly and hot. Loved her. The food was delicious!!! Everything was good. The chips were exquisite! Light as air and no grease at all! The Chiles Rellenos melts in your mouth. Loved the food. The lunch menu had great selections at very reasonable prices. Loved that! Overall, we had a lovely lunch and know where we will be dining whenever we are in Zachary. Will recommend to our friends who live out that way. Muchas Gracias for a great lunch experience.

Had a 4:30 reservation today for my Aunt's birthday. Our party of 20 quickly became over 30 guests. Thankfully the room was already set up to accommodate us all. We had great service. Everyone's orders were brought in by several servers all at once. My husband enjoyed his Margarita and a Burrito California and I enjoyed my Shrimp Quesidilla. They have a pretty large menu so we will be back to try other things. Including the fried ice cream!

Awesome place! We dine here weekly. The food is great, and the staff are the best. Love the music on Wednesday nights as well. Coming here has become a ritual for me and my daughter.
All of the employees are wonderful they know what we order because we get the same thing almost every time we never have to wait to be seated they come right away and take our order and the food is always so delicious and fresh. It’s always more than enough so of course you have to get a box to take it home.🙂

My wife and I greatly enjoy the food and service staff every time we visit. Very affordable. We haven't found anything we don't like. The beef melts in your mouth. Enjoy!

The food is good and affordable! Service is great. If you happen to go when the Mariachi band is there you are in for a treat. They take requests, and sang Old Mac Donald in the most awesome way to my 3 yr old!

This is one of the best places to eat in Zachary. If you want to get in and out fast, this is your place. I have been numerous times. I have ordered many different entrées and all of them have all been delicious. The service is great too.
Authentic Mexican food with a price you can't beat!! Their salsa and fresh guac is amazing!! Not a fan of their chili rellenos but I am very picky when it comes to those. Definitely a place to try!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!. What can I say? I LOVE THIS PLACE! I go at least every other week just to get my "taco fix". The salsa is amazing! The tacos, burritos, and enchiladas are all very good. However, I was a little disappointed by the fish tacos. They are served very plain. Just fish and a chipotle sauce on a tortilla, served with a side of rice and beans. Surprisingly, they were still quite tasty. Although the food isn't the best authentic Mexican I've ever tasted, it's still very good, and the prices are hard to beat. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated, with a delightful ambiance to match. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. It's a great spot for an inexpensive dinner date, or to grab a few drinks with friends.

Great Addition to the Zachary dining scene. The folks at El Agave spared no expense at redecorating the space to give it the look of Mexico. The ambience is perfect. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. They do not hover, but seem to appear just when you need something. The prices are incredible. The lunch menu has some plates for as low as $5.50....including all you want in chips and a great salsa that are complimentary. My favorite menu item (I have tried several over the last few weeks) is Chile Rellenos. The authentic recipe is superb...not too spicy, not overdone and served with a tomato sauce that compliments rather than overtakes the flavor of the pepper. Even though they offer the margaritas by the pitcher, I recommend sticking to one! They are powerful, but refreshing. There is a large dining room in back of the main seating area and I hope to reserve it for a large petty at some point. Also, there is a full service bar with ample seating for a great happy hour! So glad Zachary has a new place to have fun and get some good food!
Having lived in NY, we were lucky to have quality Mexican food, pretty much in every town. Tried many down here, and while good. It was not up to the quality and taste of what we where used to…. Until now! This is great Mexican food! And it is at a very reasonable price. We will be regulars here, that much is for sure
This is a nice place to eat some TexMex and Mexican food. The prices are good, and the portions are large. I would rather go here and pay $10 for some good food, than pay the same price at a Fast Food place. On top of that, if you order takeout they will have it ready in less than 10 minutes.
There is also a Bar if you want a place to chill.
Best Mexican Restaurant I've eaten at in the Baton Rouge area based only on food taste. I know some people rate Mexican restaurants based on the Margaritas or alcoholic drinks. I can't tell you about the taste or alcoholic content of the drinks because I don't drink because of gout. I can say that their drinks look good but that's as far as I can go with that. Great customer service everytime I go. Pricing isn't bad either.
Chips and salsa were on the table within 10 seconds. Drinks were there within 30 seconds. Hot sizzling food minutes after ordering. The service was impecable and we were greeted warmly. Refills were kept up very well and the waiter was very attentive! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Best Hispanic cuisine around. Service is always fast and friendly. The drinks are fantastic. Food always comes out smoking hot. The only negative I can think of is I don't get to go enough. Love the food and they do birthdays right.

Service was very prompt and friendly. Food portions were large and well seasoned.
The food was really good! The service was also great. I wish I remember the server he was nice and attentive. We sat at the bar and usually service is slow at the bar but not here! I would definitely go back!
