Review Walk-on's Sports Bistreaux - Zachary Restaurant - Zachary

I originally ordered the Shrimp and Grits and was informed 20 minutes after I ordered that they were out of grits. I instead ordered hush puppies to replace the grits. The hush puppies were pretty darn great. The bacon wrapped shrimp wasn’t too bad. And the spinach dip I ordered as an appetizer was pretty great. This is a nice sports bar and definitely hit the spot during one of my nights in Louisiana. Service was pretty great too.

OMG. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent wait staff. Reasonable wait times due to popularity of this restaurant.

We arrived at this location at 6:00pm which was an hour early. It was apparently a Coach “Somebody” night and the place was relatively busy. We were seated and the waitress was very friendly but distracted. It took 5 times asking for water and silverware, and a soft drink. I know it was busier earlier but it took one and a half hours to get our orders and bu the time we got it, they were cleaning to close by 9:00 which was not pleasant. I had high hopes for this visit to this location but it wasn’t a good time. The burger was over cooked and the waffle fries were sparse and mostly broken. I am disappointed at this location.

The location in Zachary, Louisiana is great. It's spacious, bright, and more TVs than one person can ever wish for. The greeters and servers are polite, efficient, and make the dining experience a pleasure. The food is quite good as well as the wine and beer selections. I would like it if you would offer some daily specials and the desserts are just so so.

Big fan of Walk-ons, but my last visit has me questioning when I will return. My wife and I took our son there as a special outing. We each ordered something very simple (with no substitutions): a burger, a salad, and a steak. I understand right now in the industry that staffing is difficult; however, waiting an hour for our dinner with a very low crowd at the time is unacceptable. On a side note, the phone number listed online when performing a Google search brought me to someone at the take out section of the restaurant. When I asked what the current wait time was prior to driving over, the employee simply told me they did not know and refused to transfer or even give me the number to reach the front of the restaurant.

REALLY bad experience, had to send my meal back... twice! Could have been avoided had the Manager (Ms Picou) made an effort to communicate with me (after it was brought to her attention when the first meal was sent back) that they were not allowed to cook red meat at the desired temperature (plus, had to wait 35 to 40 minutes for each of the two over cooked meals to be prepared. The only redeeming factor was that the server was very pleasant!

Horrible. Management is having issues so we got there at 9 and were told the kitchen was closed due to the cooks "walked out". They closed at 10. We sat for 30 min until someone told us we couldn't order food and we were starving. The young lady was regretful and went to the kitchen to make sure but was told no. This location needs to get their management together. I was surprised because I have been here before and it was fine but I guess due to management issues, which is what we were told the problem was, they are not functioning at 100%.

Great food... I have had the shrimp basket, burger sliders, ribeye steak & the wings. However, the WAFFLE FRIES ARE HORRIBLE. Great customer service but arrive super early on your teams game day.

Well this is just my opinion, so yeah... I personally don't like walk ons I went there this past Saturday for the first time so I can say I went and OMG it was so loud my anxiety level was through the roof.... to me they have the music to loud so then every one has to talk loud over the music and it's like a screaming match in there and the floors by the bar and the ramp to the kitchen and to the bath rooms are very slick I was so scared I was going to slip down, but that's all my opinion so that was my first and last time going there.... thx

This was my 3rd time dinning at walk ons in Zachary with family and friends. I really enjoyed the hospitality and food. The waiters all was professional and had great spirits. The other customers also seem to have enjoyed their selves and it was a comfortable environment to dine at with loved ones . I appreciate the great food and hospitality and highly recommend walk ons to anyone looking to get full and enjoy their selves! Thanks!

Dined in at this location last night, 03/22, boiled crawfish were cold as if they had been in a cooler. Crawfish were not seasoned; shrimp platter was cold as well, gumbo was full of salt. No recommended.

We went last night, I ordered the sweet tea, came back unsweetened, then she brought me another one, but the sweet tea wasn't sweet, and it was like they put more tea then water, and was nasty. Then we ordered the fried pickles for appetizer, they came out 10 min after our main course, and were salty, badly. Then I ordered a hamburger with bacon, but the burger came without bacon. If it wasn't for our server who was really nice, I would have only gave 1 star. I'm giving 3 stars, cause they still kind of new in Zachary, and will give them a chance to make the proper corrections.

Waitress was great. But the food was awful. The only hot food I was given was the shrimp everything else was cold & tasted like they rinsed it off n cold water & put it in the plate. The soda was good. I will never waste my money there again.

Absolutely terrible service. Called for a to go order, was told 15-20 minutes and not even told "thank you" for our order. Arrived after 20 minutes and had to wait another 25. Items missing, over cooked chicken, and under cooked mozzarella logs. Not to mention one bite of a sandwich with garlic aioli tasted like eating an entire head of raw garlic. Never again.

Great servers and staff. Enjoyable atmosphere. Great beer selection and comfort foods. Would give 5 stars, but 3rd visit and each time came to watch the main sporting event and once got closed captioning, other times nothing while the restaurant played generic music. So if there to hang out with friends and family and maybe get a glimpse of a sporting event, perfect place. If you're there to watch the game (other than the Saints I presume), you'll be watching on mute.

I love the ribeye poboy with a cup of duck and andouille gumbo. The service has always surpassed my expectations at this location.

Great food and wait service was excellent. We highly recommend it. Lots of TV's!

Service sucks waited over 20 mins to get a drink and that was because the bar tender came and asked us what we wanted we waited another 15 mins and a waitress never came so we left.

(Zachary, La) While my experience was good, my fellow team mates family wasnt! After waiting what was supposed to be 30 minutes turned into 50 minutes for a party of 23. Once seated, the waitress wasted the entired last Dr. Pepper on her tray on him. He of course laughed and his mom gratefully had his sweatshirt because she was freezing. The manager came check on him, but I can't believe they werent offered a free appetizer, dessert, or even a kids meal! Nothing was offer for compensation! Im not one to try and get stuff free, but this poor boy had a WHOLE sticky Dr. Pepper wasted on him! I have a video too!
