Aiken Ice Cream is the best ice cream shop in the area! I love an ice cream shop which makes their own ice cream from scratch and their own cones. Aiken ice cream does both of these things well. When we walked in the store, we were greeted by an employee who was rolling fresh waffle cones. The fresh waffle cones make the store smell great. We had never been there before and she was able to answer all of our questions about the different flavors and the shop. My wife had the Oreo ice cream and I had the Whiskey Road. Both flavors were great. The ice cream was perfect, sweet and not too fatty. The waffle cones were also good; classic waffle cones, nothing fancy. Also, they have non-dairy flavors for those who are avoiding dairy in their diets! That's a pretty nice touch. I wish there was an ice cream shop like this in Augusta but I'll definitely stop in any time I go to Aiken!

Aiken Ice Cream has the most amazing home made ice cream. If you like coffee ice cream, this place has the best I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot of coffee ice cream. Of course all of the ice cream is awesome. They also have a flavor, Whiskey Road, which I assume is unique to Aiken, that is pretty unique in it's self, and incredible tasting. They stay open till 9 most nights, making a great place to walk to for a light dessert after eating a meal in the Alley. If you like ice cream you have to check Aiken Ice Cream.

Absolutely the best homemade ice cream I've ever tasted and located in this adorably eccentric location! The owner operator is passionate about her product- I should know, shes family. Seriously, delish- check it out!!
