My friend and I enjoy trying out local breakfast restaurants, so we decided to try out Eye Opener yesterday, 03/12/22! The restaurant was spacious, and the staff was friendly. I ordered The Morning Sunshine Omelette with a side of bacon. The food was tasty and affordable. Naturally, the restaurant was busy. Because of this, it took time to get refills on beverages, which is totally understandable, considering it was a Saturday morning! Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not have to wait for a table, which was awesome. I will definitely come back and support this business in the future!
Went here a few weeks ago and nothing but great vibes. The breakfast was phenomenal! At peak times it does get pretty busy, but for a good reason. Everything was cooked to order, and the staff are friendly and on top of the service. I didn't have an empty glass unless I specifically mentioned, and they even offered a to-go as well, which many places do not do. The prices are reasonable as I didn't go over $20 even with the order I had.
Service: 5 stars
Atmosphere: 5 stars
Prices: 5 Stars
Seriously recommend this place.
Always good food. Laid back with good service. Unique items and classic items.
Came to Akron for a day trip and we randomly stumbled upon this restaurant. Very good breakfast spot. Loved the potatoes! Great service. Will definitely go back if in the area!
My wife and I decided to visit this spot for the first time on a Sunday (day before Valentine's Day) at around 11 am. We were seated quickly. Not the cleanest place, as others have said, but nothing egregious. Mimosa was delicious, coffee was standard fare but good. If you like being warm while you eat, maybe wait until a table opens up towards the back of the restaurant, because it gets chilly when patrons open that front door and that blast of winter air hits your legs. We left our coats on the whole time as did many others. Owner should consider installing an air curtain to fix this. Case in point, when I looked at their thermostat, it was set at 81, but showed a cool room temp of 69 degrees. Food took a while to arrive, but they were pretty busy. Our server was nice and did a good job. My wife's EO Breakfast Bowl with ham was good, with big pieces of potatoes that made for a fairly large portion. My Red Eye Hash included their delicious corned beef and spicy, but smaller portion of potatoes with green chiles. I'm a spicy foods fan, so, to me, the EO Bowl needed hot sauce (they had Tabasco and Cholula on the table - nice), but the hash was perfection as-is. We ended up ordering the blueberry pancakes to share at the end. They were nothing special, and the regular syrup that accompanied them did not come heated up. There is an option to choose real maple syrup for an upcharge. A warm, clean dining room and some warm syrup with less waiting would have made this a five star review. That said, we would definitely go again, and, as much as I'd like to try something new, the hash is probably what I'll be ordering. It was so good!
Favorite place I love you Lizzy and miss you so does mom however I'm still treated like family and the boh and regulars know my drink and order. I bring someone knew everytime. In the pic above are friends of mine in the restaurant. Love this place ten stars
