First visit today and the food was delicious and plentiful! You get two meats, rice and peas and four additional sides. We had chicken curry and chicken frikasee, both tender and tasty with distinctly different sauces - the curry a bit spicy and the other a bit sweet. I took more than half of my meal home. Too much for me in one sitting but I will be happy to enjoy it again as leftovers. Family owned and operated and everyone is extremely nice.

Ordered the chicken frikazee with rice and peas and it was fantastic! The quality of the food for the price is unbeatable and the plantains are the best I have ever had -How lucky we are in Akron for this new food option!

Went here for the 1st time last Saturday night. Smelled great as soon as we walked in. Looked over menu asked a few questions and then ordered. The Oxtails were seasoned great I enjoyed very well with the white rice and cabbage that was also well seasoned and cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the Jerk Chicken which she enjoyed as well. Both meals are very plentiful and well worth the money. We both had enough for the next day.

I've been here 8 or so times with about 12 different people since it opened a couple of months ago. Each time, the normally chatty people I eat with can't talk - their subtle groaning and silence over how amazing and uniquely wonderful the food is sets them back. This place is great. It's a gem in a city of otherwise great food. You walk in and the people are from Jamaica, they are laboring over cooking things well and authentically. The portions are good enough for two meals and while the price points average between $9.50 - $13.50 for a meal, it's a better value than any chipotle meal because you get more food, it's all fresh, and they don't cut corners. No vacation time needed for a quick trip to Jamaica on South Main Street right across from Bricco.

The food was fabulous! I got a small jerk chicken. I could only eat 1/2 and took the rest home. Their plantains are honestly the best I have ever had. We parked on the street for free and walked a block. I wish they would have had the a/c just a little cooler if it was in at all. Some music would have made helped the atmosphere. Prices are great, staff friendly, food fabulous

First let me say you can feel the love as soon as walk through the door! The energy in this establishment is so warm and welcoming! The staff was extremely warm and welcoming! The food is fantastic!!! Authentic Jamaican cuisine at it best! I had the oxtails....oh sooo good! They were flavorful, tender, juicy, fell right off the bone! The food isn’t overly salty which is a big deal for me! I’m happy this place is adding more flavor to downtown Akron!! I’ll be back for more!

Today was my first time visiting, I had just eaten but I wanted to try the plantains (they’re my favorite) since my sister had talked about this place so much. I loved them! I will be back to try more dishes for sure. You can tell they cook with love here and the welcome their guest with open arms. I kinda wish we would’ve just ate here to begin with.

Awesome food, jerk chicken and pork are delicious, all the sides are great, curry goat was okay, first time I've had goat so not sure what I should expect. Was good but in the future I'd probably stick to the jerk pork or chicken. One of my new favorite places to eat when working in downtown.
