I love Mary and Tito's cafe. It has always been a mom and pops restaurant and not this fancy place to eat but the food makes it worth trying. I have been eating here since I was very young when Mary and Tito were alive. My grandpa and grandma knew Mary and Tito. Mary was a kind lady and Tito was a very nice man and they started this restaurant to make amazing New Mexican food for everyone to enjoy. Their red chilie is the best it has amazing flavor and their beans are just the best flavor it's great. I love pretty much all their different foods. This is the place to go for the best red chile. Their turnovers which are basically a stuffed sopa are crispy on the outside the dough has perfect texture and flavor and its nice and crispy. The bean and cheese and red chilie turnover is alway perfectly cooked and delicious. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant with food that will make you keep wanting to come back for more red chilie thats addicting. Mary and Tito left a part of them when they passed but their family has kept their memory alive by not changing the menu, food, or old school cafe that was the original place. Not everyone likes the same thing but I will say this is one of me and my husbands favorite places to eat and also the prices are still affordable for what you get on your plate. So I highly recommend trying Mary and Tito's cafe.
Hole in the wall that is a James Beard Award Winning restaurant. Definitely not in the best of neighborhoods- but the food makes up for it. No frills, but New Mexico’s best food.
I absolutely love their red chile sauce. I have lived in NM all my life and in Albuquerque since 1972. This is where I go to get my enchilada fix. Most restaurant don't start with the whole pod in their sauce, they use powdered chiles because it is convenient but which makes it bitter. Their sauce also contains meat and is a tad hotter than a lot of others. Go here if you want the real thing.
Wonder costumer service & red chili!!! The #1 place to eat if you are coming to ABQ, don't leave town without going here. Can't say enough good things about the food.
My go-to spot for lunch when driving through. The stuffed sopapillas are just right for lunch, especially with the excellent red chile. Easy access to both interstate highways.
More stars if I could! The food was delicious, service was excellent, and the price can’t be beat. Also still family run, which I love. We tried all kinds of dishes and I loved the sopapilla. Don’t skip the cake! It is made by one of the family members (she makes two per day, we watched her bring it in and plate it.)
This place deserves more than 5 stars. This was not our first time in, just our first time in this visit to Albuquerque. Mary & Titos is all the things right with an independently owned restaurant! The building is charming; it has some age but is well maintained. Staff all pitch in to provide service and don’t skip a beat! We both got the chicken taco plate and ate every last bite. The corn tortillas were grilled to perfection and, impressively, the shredded chicken was all breast meat. Let me not forget to mention-the prices are fantastic. See you next time we are in Albuquerque.

This establishment has been around since I was a little girl. I'm 55 now. This restaurant is as good now as it was then. It is a little Cafe that is ran by family. It is always nice to support the locals. The service was very good and the waitress was friendly. The whole staff was friendly and very helpful. They absolutely have the best red chile in Albuquerque and maybe even new mexico. The turnover is delicious. I got my turnover with both red and green. The enchiladas are delicious as well. Let me tell you about something amazing. They're Mexican wedding cake. All of their food was delicious. The atmosphere is just as cute as can be. If anyone likes good delicious New Mexico food, I recommend this place.
I have been to this cafe before, starting when I eleven or so. That's more then fifty years!! The parking is a challenge at times but the delicious food makes up for it. The entrance is on the north side of the building and not either of the two doors street side. I love the food, the courteous staff, and the atmosphere. Prices are still very reasonable compared to similar cafes. Go, enjoy yourself.
Was my first time visiting the restaurant I have heard from many people talk about this place but no one ever say good or bad ,I ordered the carne adovada enchiladas with beans and rice so it came cheese enchiladas with carne smothered over the top people that like cheese 👍🏿 but I thought just reading the menu it would have been carne adovada enchiladas but ok 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔.
