After seeing the zoo, we decided to stop here for the first time based on the reviews, and we were not at all disappointed. Our server was incredibly cheerful and hilarious, and our drinks never emptied. Our lunch arrived quickly and was amazing. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with onion rings, while I ordered the June Burger Special. Both were outstanding. Usually, there isn't room for dessert, but we soldiered on and ordered a small version of the Chocolate Volcano, which is a lot for two people. The resulting sugar coma was totally worth it. We had a wonderful dining experience overall, and everything we tasted was outstanding. Without a doubt, we'll return!
When you come to or pass through Asheboro, NC be sure to stop at American Roadhouse restaurant. They serve a variety of dishes which includes exotic dishes of frog legs, alligator tail and bison burgers. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat. The owners strive to please and provide fresh quality foods - their homemade potato soup is guaranteed to delight on a cold day.
Ate here with my parents for the first time after a zoo trip based on the recommendation of a friend, and we were absolutely not disappointed. The service was phenomenal - our waitress was very friendly, very funny, and our drinks never went empty. Our food came out fast and was fresh and delicious. Their fried seafood (I got popcorn shrimp, clam strips, and oysters) was the best I've had in the area, and could seriously compete with a lot of restaurants along the coast. My mom loved her Philly cheese steak, and the quality of the meat was fantastic. My dad got a rib platter with whitefish and it was amazing as well - he was especially fond of the fried fish. The portions we received were huge - enough for multiple meals and some really great leftovers for lunch the next day. Everything we tried was exceptional, and we had a great dining experience across the board. We'll definitely be back!
Very good food and they give your money's worth. Food came quickly and the waitress was friendly. Clean restrooms. I would highlyrecommend.

America's Roadhouse is an excellent place to eat. The atmosphere is fun, the food is good, and the service is good.
My wife and I went on a busy Friday evening around 5:30. The place was packed; however, we didn't have to wait for a table. The restaurant is huge.
The first thing you notice when you go inside is the decorations. It reminds me a bit of Cracker Barrel. There is stuff all over the place.
Within a minute of being seated, our waiter arrived. We had already decided that we wanted some fish, so there was no delay in ordering. (Note: their menu has a wide variety of almost anything you can think of.) Our food was delivered in less than five minutes. We were in and out in 20 minutes.
We shared a plate because we have been there before and know the size of their portions. They are huge. We still had enough left over for a third person. The price is very reasonable. Including our drinks, our bill was less than $15.00.
This was not our first time at America's Roadhouse, and it won't be our last.
Our first visit and it was great. Food came out fast, fresh and hot. My mom has been a server for over 30 years. I grew up in restaurants. I know a good server when I see one. Our server Brenda was excellent. It's her first night back and you guys are lucky to have her!
Family of 5 ate for $32! Rock solid, unabashedly American and Christian owned! Stopped in for a quick bite after the zoo. My daughter was a little scared of the sharks etc, but warmed up to the place pretty quick once her food came out. She said “Daddy, this is the best cheeseburger ever!” Shrimp was tasty, sweet potato perfect, and all-in-all it was an “A” experience! Definitely returning on our next trip up to the Zion!
Great service. Amy, our server was phenomenal. Good prices were also a bonus! I only couldn’t give a five due to the cut off time for the Friday and Saturday specials as well as the steak seasoning. If I’m in the area again, I would return!
