Apparently,many of the restaurants here turn into a pumpkin after about 11:00 PM on a Friday night. Lucky for us, Barley's Taproom & Pizzeria does not! The sign on the door said open till "late" so lucky for us , Barley's won by default. This place is a polished, laid-back taproom with tons of craft beer, amazing pizza , calzones and Guinness Draught on tap. What's not to love? We were seated with water within 5 minutes, 10 minutes later after help from our awesome waitress we had a Barley's All American pizza and a bacon/chicken calzone on the way. Now, either we were all just starving, or the pizza and calzones were amazing. We are leaning towards the latter.The food was delicious! All 3 of us remarked how good the food was. So to sum it up...delicious hot pizza, cold beer, great atmosphere and the 3 of us left full for under $40. We definitely made a mental note to make Barley's a regular stop wheneverwe are in Asheville.

Loved the food! We had spaghetti and meatballs and the steak and cheese sandwich. Our waiter was wonderful. He let us try the beer first before ordering. Just a great place to eat.

We happened upon this place while attending the First Friday Art Walk! Just stopped in for a couple of beers! Staff was extremely helpful and nice!! Selection was great and really good! Pizza looked and smelled delicious! Would highly recommend!!!
