Perfect. Our whole dining evening was perfect. If you are in the mood for Italian this is your place. Super comfortable neighborhood type place, but upscale. Feel free to talk to your neighbor, or not. Lol. The food was delicious- like- really good. They were busy- it was a Saturday night in Atlanta, no surprise there, but everyone was on their toes from our waiter, the managers and host staff. We had multiple courses and they came out timed perfectly. I can’t wait to come back.

What a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were greeted by Randy, and despite not having reservations, he seated us right away. We're traveling and didn't want leftovers. So, after discussing the menu with Jackie, we made our decisions. I asked Jackie if we could split everything. She didn't blink an eye. She said that would be fine and brought us extra plates. We ordered the Burrata, the Rigatoni ala Vodka, the roasted chicken, and an extra plate of asparagus. The food came out in order, and as we finished each course, the next one arrived. Everything was delicious. I just thought the chicken could have been cooked more, and the asparagus was a bit salty. All in all, I would definitely return when I come to Atlanta.

Even before we arrived at La Tavola, we had a lovely experience. We were coming from out of town and hit some awful traffic and were late for our reservation. Stacey answered and made me promise to drive safety and she would hold our table which is one of the kindest interactions I have had with a hospitality staff member in a long time. Our server Lucas was equally as wonderful and made my mother's birthday so special. She has been sick for quite a while and this was her first night out since recovering and it was simply magical.

The place is beautiful. The outdoor area is amazing, you wouldn't even know you were in the city. Our waiter, Scottie, was very attentive, very well versed in the menu and drink selections, very personable guy and he was a lot of fun. The food was great. The burrata appetizer with pickled strawberry was a refreshing start to the meal. They are very much about the experience. My girlfriend ordered the duck, as she had never had it, she didn't really care for it and Scottie could pick up on that, he took the dish back and brought her something else and they removed the item totally from the bill. The chef said, "that's ok, sometimes people just don't like things" and he personally delivered the next dish. I couldn't decide between the Bolognese and the Mushroom dish, so Scottie suggested I order an appetizer portion of each, which I did. I expected to like the Bolognese more, but I really enjoyed the tagliolini the most, even tho I'm not the biggest mushroom fan. My only critique of that dish would be, it's just not very "wow" with the presentation. As a chef myself, I'd like to see the mushrooms sliced, instead of diced, with a nice sear, these mushrooms were just kind of black and small, and a little garnish on the top of some fresh grated Parmesan, maybe some parsley and a little shaved truffle to go with the truffle oil essence they add to the pasta, still a delicious dish, just think the presentation could be a little better on that dish, but overall a great experience. The menu items are very inexpensive for the quality that you get. Will definitely make a trip to Atlanta to eat again.

Excellent place. Food was great and our server even better. Had to wait a little because we didnt have a reservation (so, recommend calling to make a reservation) but the host took care of us really well.

Good food and good service but the menu is a little too obtuse. I'm a bit hard of hearing and having lengthy conversations with a server to know what things are takes away from the experience.

This is one of the best restaurants and dining experiences I've had in Atlanta! The calamari has a unique twist in that it's grilled instead of fried and now I only want my calamari this way. Everything about the dish was so perfect that I was even eating the olives (a food I normally don't like). The pumpkin risotto balanced sweet and savory quite well. I've grown to be hesitant with dishes that have truffle because there's often too much that over powers the rest of the meal. With the tagliolini, it was just the right amount for an absolutely delicious pasta. I would easily order all three of these again and yes, I will be back! The service was also outstanding (shout out to Scotty). I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to return!

Had a lovely dinner here on the outside patio on a cooler summer night. We went on Molto Monday and took advantage of the specials! To start we had the goat cheese app which was sooo delicious. I loved the thought put into the varying textures and flavors- was perfect and balanced. The complimentary bread and olive oil was amazing, too. I had the cacio e Pepe which for only $10 was well executed! My husband had the mushroom ragu which he loved and thought was really special. Fingerling potatoes on the side were slightly over salted but loved the fresh garlic thyme rosemary combo. For dessert we had the boccone. It was yummy but logistically very hard to eat. Our server was super sweet and welcoming. The only point I would make is that I wished there were a few more vegetarian options! Pricey but delicious and worth it. On our way to the car we already started talking about our next visit!

Fantastic meal and service for our 33rd wedding anniversary. Our server, Michael, was very helpful and accommodating. The food was prepared perfectly and served timely with just the right amount of time between courses. We would definitely return!

Brought my husband here for his birthday on September 14th and it was absolutely amazing! Micheal was the absolute best server I’ve ever had! Everything we ordered, from appetizers to dessert was absolutely mouth watering and delicious! I never write reviews, but I had to for this place. Would 100% come back again. If I could give them all the stars in the world, I absolutely would. :)

Fabulous first time dining experience! Beth greeted us warmly at the door and made sure that we had a nice booth! Jacqueline provided us with excellent recommendations and exceptional service. All of the restaurant’s staff members were upbeat and friendly even though it was 9:00 pm on a busy Saturday night! We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious! We appreciated being able to order a smaller portion of pasta along with our other dishes. My husband truly enjoyed his NY strip and my veal meatballs with polenta were delicious! The olive oil cake was the best I’ve ever eaten. Our new favorite Italian restaurant in Atlanta! The next time we’re in town we will definitely visit again! Thank you so much!

Wonderful dining experience; will definitely return. We were taken care of by Scott; the service was next level. From describing the drinks, detail menu insights and background stories, just excellent all around. Thanks to everyone we countered! Oh, and the food was amazing too!

I'm so glad they have valet parking. I'm bad at street parking, and barely have any luck to find available spot for street parking when dining out. If you're in front of the restaurant, the valet parking is in the Wells Fargo bank parking lot, on the opposite side of the street. Definitely make reservation ahead, especially in winter. They don't have much space for the waiting area, and you don't want to stand outside for so long in the cold at night, unless you want to train your body for cold resistance. The restaurant is much smaller and more casual than we thought, more cozy that way. We were seated very close to the front door so it was pretty cold when people in and out, which is pretty often too. I kept taking coat on and off because of the cold air from the door. Because of the small space, the noise level is also pretty high, so it's a bit hard for communication with soft voice people like us; less talking and more focusing on eating then. The food was good but not amazing. I found the menu is a bit limited for my taste but that is just me. You can see their menu on their website. The server was friendly but because it's very crowded and busy so we don't see our server much but we were not ignored. Any other server was just as accommodating when we ask for refill or napkins. Our order: - Salumi boards. - Caesar salad with white anchovies (it's a $2 extra). - Risotto (my friend said it was really good). - Market fish which was a roasted bass, on a bed of vegetables (it was okay). - Tiramisu (the alcohol taste in the dessert kind of overwhelm everything else). Overall, my experience was neutral. There's not much to complain but I probably won't go back since it was kind of a drive for me, and the food was alright. I might have high hope due to all the reviews and photos from their social media. I still recommend the place since it's still a good restaurant, just not for me.

From the time we walked in till the time we left it was a fantastic experience. Our server Amanda was above and beyond without being over the top. The entire staff was very well trained in hospitality. We all felt like we were in Little Italy. We brought friends for their first time for a birthday celebration and La Tavola did not disappoint. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back soon.

Italian classics that will keep you coming back! A must try if you live anywhere near Virginia Highlands. *2022 Update* back again for a friends birthday and just as good if not better. Best if you Uber to the restaurant as parking is hard to find or you can valet across the street. The restaurant is also small so if you have a larger party you better make a reservation!

There are so many Italian restaurants around Atlanta, but this is our new favorite. The calamari, zuppa di pesce, and squid ink spaghetti are my favorites. The flavors are bright and not heavy like many Italian restaurants around town. Eating here made us feel like we were eating on the Amalfi coast again. Our waiter was very nice too and he made some great recommendations. They have seating inside and outside in the back, which is great when the weather is nice. You can park in the street or pay to park in the lot behind the building.
