This little trailer sells as good a plate of BBQ as I have ever tasted. I am no BBQ neophyte, I have had the pleasure of having some of the best smoked meats in the country; Joe's in Kansas City, Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur AL, Killen's in Pearland TX, Leonard’s in Memphis, Corkscrew in Spring TX, Lexington Barbecue in NC as well as the Central Texas staples; Mueller's, Franklin's, Salt Lick, Black’s, Kreuz Market, Luling City Market, and on... I have never enjoyed a better culinary experience that the meats at Brown's. The brisket (cuts from the deckle of course) has the perfect combination of smoke, spice, tenderness and juicyness. The ribs are flavorful and tender with the perfect "snap," the chicken and turkey are also full of smoky flavor yet still remain tender and juicy. Better than Franklin's without the three hour wait!

Went here on Saturday. No line. Got the brisket plate with mac and cheese and cabbage. Amazing. This seems to be a hidden gem for Austin. The cabbage was done perfectly and had a slight sweetness. GREAT mac and cheese. Brisket rivals Pecan Lodge. If I ever come back to Austin, this will be on my list. Phenomenal BBQ.

This is our go-to BBQ in Austin. Easily one of the top 5 BBQ joints I've been to. The best BBQ chicken I've had since leaving Georgia. A mix of Central and East Texas BBQ styles results in super moist and flavorful tender meats. This is the only BBQ place I've been where turkey and chicken often win out over brisket and ribs. Normally, I don't even like turkey.
