Pei Wei Asian Diner Boca Raton

Good - Fresh - Hot - Fast..Maybe To Fast!. We decided to try Pei Wei Asian Diner in Boca Raton, as we were looking for a different flavor, and we've never been. I didn't realize that for the "dine in" section, you had to give your order, pay, and then take your seats and you were served at the table after, a la Ponderosa Steak house way back when.

To start, the greeter was very helpful, assisting us in choosing our dishes, and explaining the system. His choices were right on, but it's a small menu, so its hard to go wrong. The beverage centers are way cool, with a single dispenser offering up a multitude of choices, plus they had hot teas, essential to cut the anticipated spices.

The service was fast, in fact to fast, because they brought our our four dishes before our soups, in fact, it seemed as if they forgot about the soups.. That caused a backlog at our table, but we managed. The staff was otherwise attentive, removing dishes that became empty at once.

The hit dish of the night was the Korean Spicy Steak. It was gone a once. Personally, I enjoyed the Coconut Curry shrimp. The Caramel chicken was an also ran, but tasty.. The hot and sour soup was in fact better than most i've had. Out of 5 stars, i'd give this 4. I had the sense that everyone was in a rush. We feed you..You eat..you go home!
