I don't know where to start on how delicious this meal was--the fresh baked bread, still warm from the oven, the perfectly seasoned meatballs with flavorful tomato sauce, or the seafood pasta--delicious. The service--outstanding. And the wine selection--exotic and brilliant. This restaurant is a gem in San Antonio. You would expect to see something of this caliber in NY City, but in San Antonio, Boerne especially, it's a more unique find. Chef Keith Kuhn even took some time to talk with us and share the secrets behind some of his most popular dishes. He spoke quite a bit about the importance of his food sources. His fish is flown overnight from Alaska, and his pasta, that which is not made in-house such as the ravioli and stuffed pastas, is a small independent source out of Italy. He really is hands-on in making sure all of the ingredients in his concoctions are top quality. He shared all of this, while we were chatting with him after coming in for lunch. Another plus--the menu is very gluten free friendly. My husband has Celiac Disease and a legitimate allergy, which can be a challenge with most restaurants, but not at Valeria. Not only is the menu marked as to which meals he can have, but all of the staff is very versed in allergies. We will back back, as often as possible! Thank you for an exquisite meal and a fine dining experience.
I ate at this restaurant on 5/7/2018, I have got to say it is very delicious. I had the lasagna and it was superb. The texture was so light and fluffy. Definitely recommend, will not disappoint.
We came on a mellow weeknight. The server was delightful and food was delicious! I had the pasta with seafood and husband had duck confit. All were excellent and wine was also wonderful! I have been to “fancier” restaurants in various cities and received less…I look forward to trying more of the menu!!
Literally perfect as it always is. This is the hidden gem of Boerne. Valeria is the best restaurant in Boerne.
Want to debate it?
I had the Fried Shrimp platter and it was wonderful. The slaw was incredible...tasted like springtime. Yeah, I'm not sure what that means, either, but try it and tell me that's not what you felt. And the staff were very courteous, friendly and professional. I will return the next time I'm in Boerne. I'm anxious to try the lasagña.
Giving it four stars because service was really slow! It took forever for us to get our meals and there were only 2 other people at the restaurant. But the food was really tasteful, with the wait! We liked it a lot! My husband had Italian crepe which he said was good and I had chicken parmesan which was really really good!!!
