I had the wild boar burger and it was delicious! The Bleu cheese balanced out the pepper jelly perfectly and they had a nice beer selection. Service at the bar was on point. Adding The Cardinal to our list of regular dining options on our trips up the mountain.

First off, I want to say that I never give places reviews online. I just have never felt compelled to do so. Since I'm doing it now, I guess you could say an impression was made. I was thoroughly impressed with the food here. The first item that I ate was the Jalapeno Hush Puppies. Normally hush puppies are dry and require some heavy liquid consumption to not choke and have to call 911. This was not the case here. They were moist (but not too moist) and tasty. They came with a house made ranch that was out of this world. With that said, I can confidently claim that I have just consumed the best burger I have ever had in my short 31 years on this Earth. The burger that I'm speaking of was their Wild Game type, and tonight the meat was Boar. If I can remember the ingredients correctly it had sun dried tomatoes and garlic minced into the meat, with pickled cauliflower and pickled something else on top, ghost pepper jack cheese, all of this on an amazingly toasted bun. I can't speak for any of their other items, but I can assure you that I will gain that information in short time. I am very interested to try their other menu items, hoping that they were just as great.

Great cocktail and food menu! Plenty of beers to choose from as well. Best service I've ever had in Boone. My dog kicked it on the porch too! This place is a must.
